Descripción

Ange ou Demon Le Parfum & Accord Illicite by Givenchy is a woody oriental fragrance for women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by Lucas Sieuzac and Evelyne Boulanger. The top notes present the freshness of tangerine; the heart unfolds the elegance of sambac jasmine and orange blossom; while the base reveals a sensual depth with vanilla, amber, leather, white musk and patchouli.

  • The small bottle is not an extract, rather it is an accord booster. During the day you perfume yourself with the perfume and in the evenings you add a drop of the black bottle to boost it.

I tried it today at Palacio de Hierro and I loved it: strong, with body, just as I like it. I don’t have any of this brand, only years ago I had Amarige, and I think this is well worth it to resume my relationship with Givenchy.

  • I bought this fragrance expecting an explosion of extroverted, limitless sensuality. I belong to that group of women who are fascinated by calling attention with their scent and grooming, so I feel disappointed… it’s a soft, fresh scent, without power and very similar to Kenzo’s “Love Game”: little white flowers and a slight citrus touch, an “angelically” boring aura that easily disappears with shampoo… and of the Dionysian original “Ange ou Demon” not a trace! Perfect for hot days, informal situations or days with a strong migraine… otherwise, avoid it. Additional note: I tried it again yesterday, it smells good in open spaces, as the scent dissipates widely with the wind, it’s pleasant but not very potent… longevity on my skin 4 hours, moderate trail.

Ange ou Demon Le Parfum is a fine fragrance that could even be worn not just in very cold times but also in something mild. Its opening is brilliantly orange, giving way to a precious bergamot and jasmine, incredibly elegant. It gains body quickly with the amber and vanilla, becoming a very modern oriental, always sophisticated and suitable for elegant events. Its heart of jasmine with those points of leather that modernise it so much turns it into a precious perfume, adding its drops of a delicious amber nectar. I think without the booster it can be used for a date or an encounter where you want to put on little perfume, but where you apply it, the essence stays well impregnated. I imagine a smart and beautiful woman, one of those who when they dress up attract attention for their good taste and moreover leave a divine trail as they pass.

I don’t find it very easy to wear; I prefer simpler scents. It is rich, yes, I feel the orange and leather from start to finish, which I like, but I can’t separate the other notes. I see it as rich for cold weather and night. I think I won’t use the booster; I’ll try it with the cold we’re having now and see. Edit: longevity on skin is 12 hours. I like it more when it has settled and rested.

First time trying this and it’s already worth it. I’ve wanted it ever since I saw the Accord Illicit, that baby perfume that melts my heart. Reviews said it was odd, and they weren’t wrong: the first blast is potent, almost spicy. It’s the orange peel, not the juicy kind, but the bitter, resinous sort, sharp as if candied. Soon comes the Sambac jasmine, strong yet dark and dense, far from a Terracotta or an Alien. What’s peculiar is that it’s pushed forward by amber and leather, creating an oily balm with a medicinal edge. At first, I struggled with it; it felt intense, without that resinous note settling, slightly dirty. But after fifteen minutes, it transforms: the musk and orange blossom soften everything. This opulent blend starts to clean up, achieving a balance between dirty and clean, as if there’s a crisp base to something deep. There’s a fresh thread that prevents it from becoming chaotic. As it dries, the darker notes recede, leaving a juicy, sweet floral; the orange warms up and vanilla takes over, making it more enveloping. I also detect a slight talciness, as if there’s a hidden violet. It’s not Insolence, but it has that ‘extra pill’ effect, much softer. It’s evolving, nothing linear: it starts strong and challenging, evolving into something sweet, creamy, and wearable. It’s special. I’ll try it with the Accord Illicit; I think it’ll give an interesting twist.

First time trying it and I was surprised: it comes with the Accord Illicit, that baby perfume that gives me so much tenderness. Based on the reviews and notes, I always thought it would be strange, and I wasn’t wrong. The first blast is potent, almost prickly; it’s not juicy orange, but bitter, resinous peel, sharp as if it were candied peels. Soon the sambac jasmine appears, strong but dark and dense, pushed by amber and leather that create an oily ointment, almost medicinal. At first it took me by surprise, it seemed intense and half dirty, but after fifteen minutes it changes: the musk and orange blossom soften everything, cleansing that opulent mix. It leaves a balance between dirty and clean, with a polished base and a fresh thread that prevents it from being chaotic. As it dries, the dark side yields to a juicy, sweet floral; the orange warms up and vanilla takes over, making it more enveloping. Also, I sense a slightly talcum touch, as if there were a hidden violet, a very softened “extra little pill” effect. It’s changeable, nothing linear: it starts strong and challenging to finish sweet and creamy. It’s special and distinct; I’ll try it with the Accord Illicit, which I think will give it an interesting twist.
