I bought the small size blindly because I really liked the first one they released and because these two perfumers promise a lot. Conclusion: – It smells exactly like the first one. A tiny bit less citrusy. I don’t sense many of the notes they list. It’s the first perfume with little variation.
🫤The main difference is that the OG Audace is a creamy tuberose that evolves into a silky tonka bean drydown. This new version clearly turns towards a spicy-creamy profile. The spotlight falls on an intense cocoa and coffee that dominate the evolution. Although the drydown retains that silky tonka bean, the cocoa ends up overshadowing the tuberose, one of the biggest attractions of Audace. This version loses its charm and originality compared to the OG. It’s darker and spicier, to the point of feeling excessive to me, as this profile is already too overused.
It arrived in my city and on my Sunday walk I took the opportunity to go try it. It’s really a nice perfume, it has the vibe of The Only One Intense by Dolce & Gabbana. The red fruits with the coffee are prominent, the white flowers are there but incredibly the tuberose is in the background, it’s perceptible but it’s not a formula with a high load of that flower. Here, orange blossom, cocoa, and tonka bean reign. A perfume that, although it feels somewhat artificial at the opening, which I blame on the strawberries, is very interesting, and the drydown has a very elegant bearing. Special for fresh autumn days. Give it a chance.
