This Bespoke is a real showstopper. The blend of bitter rum, tobacco and cypress is a hit with everyone. As it dries down, the leather comes into its own, adding an elegance and sophistication you wouldn’t expect. Although they won’t say it, it smells of incense or smoke, perhaps confused with that aromatic cypress. It smells different to all the current trends: an uncommon, challenging and original scent. If you want to smell different, this is the one for you.
Amidst so many perfumes that fade quickly without personality, this one has the duty to stand out for men aged 40 and over. Wonderful, masculine and with character. Abstain, young lads thirsty for sweet scents to dance techno until dawn. It was love at first sight: I bought it and it remains my favourite of 2024.
Surprising. A sober, adult and modern fragrance, far from the posturing of those who haven’t accepted their age or learned from experience. Ideal for someone used to shaving and understanding that at 18, women are not just ‘bodies’ for compliments or money; this is your fragrance. A safe buy for adults. There is no sweetness or dated notes; everything is well-calibrated to avoid the eccentricity of the past or the youthfulness of the present. I don’t detect the rum, but the vetiver, leather, cypress and tobacco with a fresh hint of coriander that lasts just long enough for the stars to shine, is well worth it. Good price, although I’d wish for more longevity and projection given how well it’s put together. Either way, worth a try.
I didn’t have a trained nose at first; initially I noticed citrus acidity, then wood and vetiver at the end and close to the skin, all very good. On a second skin test I finally understood the difference with the cypress: it’s sharp, greener and more woody than a citrus, with hints of smoky incense for the first hour. I like it; it fits as a personal scent, has warmth and is versatile for the office or casual wear, though better in cooler climates than in summer. At €50 for 100ml, a fragrance with this weight and quality is a bargain.
