I never tried the original, perhaps because the bottle looked like it was for someone older. But today I tried this EDT version and liked it; I never expected that scent and now I’m dying to smell the original. This one is sweet, youthful and fresh, like cherries, but then shifts to something floral with sandalwood that I no longer enjoy.

Dior Addict EDT starts off lovely with a subtle mandarin that blends with jasmine but then the latter takes over everything and becomes boring for a house known for personality-driven fragrances. The base notes are barely noticeable due to that excessive jasmine. Fixation is poor. Scent: 4.5/10 Trail: 4/10 Longevity: 4/10 Versatility: 6/10
Although I love the scent and it’s perfect for summer it didn’t meet my expectations from Dior. On my skin the projection is minimal and the longevity is disappointing. Given the price it’s not worth it but I’ll use it this summer by reapplying it several times a day so it becomes noticeable.

I loved it! It’s captivating and feminine. I adore it, only that its longevity is very short. Perhaps it’s because it’s an eau de parfum. It was a gift from my husband for Spring Day and I was fascinated, as I chose it from many fragrances. The longevity is short but the scent is exquisite.

Dior Addict EDT is an aromatic jasmine with mandarin and barely any vanilla. I like this twist; the jasmine jumps from freshness to overwhelming elegance and it seems so lovely that it doesn’t need any company. It’s versatile, soft, ethereal, charming and very feminine. I recommend it without hesitation.

Addict EDT is a beautiful floral with a touch of sweetness, perfect for spring and summer. It gives a sense of cleanliness and freshness in the heat. I’m completely hooked, I have a decant and I’m putting it on my wishlist. It has nothing to do with the EDP; they are different perfumes. If you like Daisy or Chance Tendre, you’ll surely love it.

I’ve been wearing it these days and keep coming back to it. At first, it gave me a bit of a headache in the heat, but at 20 degrees it’s exquisite. It’s like Daisy but with more creaminess. It projects well, has a lovely trail and lasts quite a while. Highly recommended.

This EDT is very lovely, but like many Dior perfumes, its sillage and longevity on my skin are lamentable, and apparently I am not the only one for whom it does not last long enough (barely 2 hours). If you like jasmine, this EDT is for you; to me, it resembles the original (which I also like), but it is a slightly lighter version. Furthermore, it does not smell citrusy to me; I find it to be a warm, soft vanilla-jasmine scent, and I think I will like it even more in colder seasons. I liked it, but I would only buy it again if I found it on sale as I did now.

On my skin, it feels quite powdery. It is very fresh and citrusy yet elegant without being overly feminine; in fact, I find it unisex. What I like most is the dry-down; on my skin, the vanilla is barely noticeable, just a hint of sweetness. It is not annoying at all; I would wear it for an afternoon/evening outing in spring and summer. However, it adapts perfectly to daily use; I agree it is a very ‘appropriate’ fragrance that pleases everyone. Personally, it lasts 4-5 hours and has medium-to-low sillage.

Addict Eau de Toilette by Dior is an ultra-feminine, powdery, discreet and elegant fragrance with moderate projection and longevity. It’s so ‘girly’ it would be a safe bet for a gift, although it is pricey and lacks a notable quirk; it belongs to the vast category of white floral-vanilla scents that remind one of many other perfumes, a point to consider. In my case, it dries down powdery and very similar to Prada Candy, though it could also be confused with Narciso Rodríguez, Kenzo Flower or Valentino. Who will like it: lovers of powdery perfumes.
One of the most elegant perfumes in my collection. I clearly detect the jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. I like it, lasts a working day and projects well. Would I buy it again? Yes, I would also like to own the EDP.
Why does such a beautiful fragrance last so little? On my skin, it lasts a mere whisper :(. I adored it; it’s ultra-feminine, fresh when first applied and sweeter as it dries down.
Lovely! Smells super fresh without being basic, very nice scent. Dries down sweeter but keeps that citrus essence. Great blend; I preferred the old version as it felt fresher and more elegant, though I absolutely love this one too.
