  If you’re looking for genuine quality rather than predictable formulas in this price range, this fragrance does not disappoint. For a formal event, I needed something worthy of a sharp suit, nothing like those typical fresh and fruity scents. After trying several, I settled on this one: for a true gentleman, a powerful man over 40 like myself. Although it’s not my favourite style, it’s a delight that completes any collection. Elegant notes of oud, spices and cedar dominate, yet it has a freshness that lifts your mood and gives you confidence. It’s not just that retro, mature vibe that defines this fragrance; the freshness lasts longer than expected in such a woody lotion. In short, it’s elegant, spicy and occasionally fresh, with addictive potential but not suitable for daily wear. Ideal for men with character, bosses, people who know their personality and attire take precedence over pleasing others. I also recommend it for those new to oud, as the quantity and quality are wearable. At times it strongly reminds me of Terre d’Hermès, though darker and more elegant. Not something to buy blindly, but if you want something woody, you could fall in love with it. I wouldn’t recommend it for women despite being marketed as unisex; it feels distinctly masculine. Its weak point is that I’ve already smelled it before, perhaps in my grandfather’s study, so while it’s delicious, it’s far from innovative. 9/10: the fragrance I’ll wear every time I put on a suit.
