If you like sweet scents, this is for you. It’s delicious: a blend of red berries, toffee and chocolate. A pure delight.
Smells super sweet; the bitter orange blossom is very noticeable, mixed with whipped cream, chocolate and caramel. After a few hours, it settles on the skin as a delicate scent reminiscent of the original Far Away. It has a certain resemblance to current gourmand fragrances.
Very sweet and comforting aroma, very much in the line of Black Opium. It has nothing to do with the original Far Away. I’ve loved it, though I miss more projection and longevity. Smells of red fruits with chocolate and toffee, which gives it that little coffee-like touch typical of the gourmands it resembles. A very good addition to my collection, although sometimes I boost it with body mist or Arabic oil before spraying. Scent 8/10, Longevity 5/10, Projection 6/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
My first review and it’s for this delicious Avon fragrance, Far Away Rebel. I love the blackcurrant note, which is perceptible from start to finish, softened and creamy thanks to the whipped cream. On my skin, the toffee just serves to blend the notes; the chocolate gives it body, and I barely notice the orange blossom, but perhaps it softens things and provides the finishing touch that adds a certain freshness to this well-made blend. For me, it’s a version of the Black Opium EDT (the first one from 2015). The opening of that EDT (I believe it’s now discontinued) was sweet, delicious and fresh blackcurrants. Unfortunately, that note didn’t last long, and the EDT, which I thought was wonderful, had the drawback of very poor longevity on my skin. So I’m very pleased to have found this perfume, of better quality and much cheaper than the Black Opium EDT 2015, where my favourite notes stand out and last about six hours. It’s not the typical sticky, overwhelming gourmand perfume; it’s elegant in its own way. A pleasant surprise. My advice: give Avon fragrances a chance; they’re super cheap and very well made, with some even better than designer perfumes.

The orange blossom begins to emerge like a breaking wave within the top notes, blending softly yet decisively. It recalls the orange blossom in Scandal and La Vie est Belle, but with the seriousness and depth of Poison Girl EDP. The base notes take centre stage: it starts with a sweet, soft chocolate, with hints of dulce de leche, and deep down, a vanilla begins to pulse, adding character and… surprise! An intense jasmine appears. That vanilla and jasmine make you think of something, leaving you disoriented and desperate to recognise the sensation, and there, with eyes closed, you begin to feel and discover the original Far Away. Everything becomes pleasurable and ecstatic in this great fusion of Rebel. A bonbon filled with an intoxicating, mysterious, and tempting spell.

As with any scent, the intensity varies; it fades over time depending on the perfume’s quality. In the case of Far Away Rebel, it lasts quite a while on my skin. I love the top, middle, and base notes. I wore it today from 08:20 until 21:30, and it’s still detectable on my clothes. On the skin, not so much, but it’s a treasure worth the investment. It’s better suited for fresh weather, autumn, winter, and perhaps spring; it’s overwhelming in summer. Would I recommend it? If you like sweet scents, obviously! It’s very different from typical bubblegum-style sweets; this feels floral and creamy.

I absolutely love it! I use it a lot. The little purple bottle was a bonus. I’m not a fan of overly sweet scents and Avon ones tend to be powdery, but this isn’t. How should I describe it? Dark, creamy, enveloping, and it stands out on my skin. Remember that every skin is different; what doesn’t work on one person might last longer on another.
Bought it based on reviews. With the bottle empty, I’d say if it had better projection and longevity it would be perfect. The scent is lovely, but if only you can smell it, that’s super selfish. Lasts about 4 hours at best. Well, given how cheap it is, I’m glad I’ve got an empty bottle.
Arrived! Ordered it here and I liked it. I expected it to be sweeter, but that acidic touch makes it exotic. On my skin, I sense everything except chocolate. Lasts well, though projection is low. It’s the distant cousin of the original Far Away (for the better) 👏
It feels strange on me; zero chocolate or gourmand vibes, it smells like violets despite what they say. It’s heavy and dark, leaving me unstable: does it smell good or like baby vomit? I don’t know, it’s a ‘maybe’.
On my skin, it leaves a strange scent; I don’t smell any chocolate at all, nor does it feel gourmand. Instead, I detect violets, yet they aren’t listed among the notes. The scent is quite heavy and dark. I’m torn between liking it and not liking it; it leaves me feeling unstable because I’m unsure if it smells good or not. Honestly, at times, it smells like baby vomit to me.
I love the entire Far Away line; now I use Rebel thanks to a 1 ml sample gifted by an Avon distributor. What does a floral and citrus fan say about gourmands? It comes across as sweet (I prefer florals and citrus), but I like it. As in other reviews, I don’t detect the chocolate; the blackcurrant, cream, and toffee make it sweet, while the surprising fusion with orange blossom makes it creative. Jean-Marc Chaillan, the perfumer behind scents for Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Calvin Klein, Liz Claiborne, Estée Lauder, Dolce & Gabbana, and others, has worked magic.
Its scent is very similar to YSL’s Black Opium—sweet, warm, and creamy… totally addictive, though in a celebrity style with a small trail, poor projection, and short longevity. Still, I love it because the price is accessible and it doesn’t hurt my wallet with re-applications.
I just don’t get along with Avon perfumes. I wanted to give this another chance with those attractive notes… and, as always, disappointment. It reminds me of Black Opium, which I adore, but the longevity is a joke, lasting less than half an hour. Plus, they label it Eau de Parfum; I don’t know if that’s a joke. The scent is rich and not bad, but it lacks power or strength, missing captivating notes like the spiced coffee in YSL. It’s indifferent, just like everything else from Avon 🙁
Like the On The Edge by Oriflame, I don’t detect the declared notes; instead, I get violet, leather, and caramel. It’s more gourmand than the previous one.
Do you know why people say it resembles Ilia Secreto from Natura? It smells very much of grape, even though the notes list blackcurrant. It’s a potent, slightly synthetic grape scent; Natura’s version feels like higher-quality fruit. Despite that, it’s rich, super fruity, and sweet. The trail is non-existent; you can only smell it if you’re practically touching the wearer. I didn’t detect any chocolate or toffee, just a sweet finish like syrup. On skin, it doesn’t last half an hour, which is a shame—I wouldn’t buy it again.
Avon lists only four notes: salty chocolate, toffee, orange blossom, and red fruits, so I’m basing my opinion on that. Far Away Rebel is gourmand and fruity, smelling like a sweet shop and ready to be eaten. Initially, the sweetened orange dominates, followed by the toffee. The salty chocolate is subtle at first but appears delicately towards the end. The longevity is moderate to high with a soft trail. Ideal for temperate and cold climates. It seems more expensive than it is, a real bargain.
I haven’t tried it, but judging by the notes, it could be the original Black Opium Eau de Toilette. Of course, I need to test this Avon version before writing a more comprehensive review.
This is the budget version of Kriska Drama by Natura.
A lovely vanilla with hints of Black Opium Nuit Blanche, very purple with currants and a faint plasticine note. On my nose, I didn’t detect the toffee or whipped cream, likely because I only sprayed one mist; the trail is low, requiring you to press your nose to it, and other fragrances seem to devour it. For the price, it’s worth it, but I wouldn’t buy it as I already own similar scents.

Delicious, creamy, and talc-like. All the notes are noticeable. The opening is identical to the discontinued Amor Amor Temptation, ufff. Now I’m testing the dry down and longevity; for a little over 100 Mexican pesos, you can’t ask for much more.

However, the performance is disappointing: moderate sillage and an ephemeral two-hour longevity, the worst in my collection. It’s sad because it is truly delicious. Ideal for gourmand lovers.
I like it: at first, it smells of grape or blackberry, then of whipped cream. The overall scent is very deep, justifying its autumn/winter classification, although on me it wasn’t as potent; I can barely smell it when bringing my nose close. If you don’t want to draw attention, it’s ideal. I would wear it all year round because it doesn’t bother me; in fact, I smell it more in the heat than in the cold.
