  • Absolutely disgusting! I love the Givenchy line, but I have no idea what went wrong with this one. It smells like medicine. Honestly, it let me down.

  • The perfume is exquisite, especially the opening. It’s a pity it lasts only a few hours and then becomes so soft that you barely notice who is wearing it.

  • The perfume is exquisite, especially its top notes. What a pity that a perfume of these characteristics lasts barely a couple of hours and then becomes so soft it is barely perceptible by the wearer.

Rich and wonderful. First I feel the iris giving it a powdery touch, then the sesame giving it a toasted note, and afterwards the rest of the notes. I detect the almond slightly, nothing like Poison. I sense it as an oriental gourmand.

A nightmare. I was horrified upon smelling it. I love all the Ange ou Demons but this one… no, no, and no.

A horror. I was horrified when I smelled it. I love all the Ange our Demon ones, but this… no, no, and no.

  • I tested it quite a bit; I don’t have the bottle but used over 10 samples to get the most out of them. It’s a very heavy fragrance for my taste; it gives me a headache. I only like it in the base notes. I wouldn’t buy it. I didn’t like it. It is long-lasting, but for that intensity, I expected more.

  • I tried it quite a bit; I don’t have the bottle but I had more than 10 samples and used them all to get my money’s worth. It is a very heavy fragrance for my taste. It makes my head hurt. I only like it in its base notes. I would not buy it. I did not like it. Long-lasting, but for its intensity, I expected more.

  • It’s an exotic fragrance, nothing traditional, a bit overwhelming but balanced at first. It’s dynamic and changes quickly, but unfortunately the iris fades and leaves a roasted almond scent that isn’t very feminine, getting lost in a soft, imperceptible base. Its formula is thin. A fragrance so promising should evolve more and last longer, as it’s meant for evening. I find it interesting but incomplete. It could work well as a complement to something floral. On its own, it’s not enough for me. The opening is exquisite; it smells like a niche perfume for sure.

  • I tried it because it was on offer, but despite trying to convince myself, I didn’t like it. The opening and the heart overwhelmed me. I only liked the base notes, which have a very masculine edge. I expected something else from the Ange ou Demon line. It happened to me with Ange ou Demon Le Parfum too. Could it be bad testers? I’m sure I’ll give it another chance. It’s a shame they’re by Givenchy, from that line, and with such beautiful bottles.

L’ange noir is one of those strong, sweet perfumes that envelop you. The first thing I notice is the pink pepper… with the iris and sesame seeds giving a rough, astringent sensation. After a few minutes, tonka bean, musk, and almonds take over the space, along with the amber, giving it a sweet, intense, talc-like tone that lasts until the end. It reminds me of the warmth of a purple scarf in winter… on the lips, on a very cold, drizzly day. Very sensual, romantic, overwhelming, no nonsense, you either take it or leave it. I take it, of course! The black bottle speaks perfectly of its contents, representing… the rough notes at the bottom of the bottle, which I love.

L’Ange Noir is one of those sweet and powerful perfumes that envelops you. First, you feel the pink pepper, with the iris and sesame giving it a slightly rough and astringent touch. Then the tonka bean, musk and almonds take control, mixed with amber for a sweet and intense finish. It reminds me of the warmth of a purple scarf on a cold, rainy day. It’s super sensual and romantic, plain and simple; you either take it or leave it. I take it, obviously. The black bottle represents everything, with those rough notes at the bottom. I love it.

  • I absolutely love L’Ange Noir by Givenchy. The opening leaves me with the iris, then the sesame takes over and gives it a very distinct twist. As it dries down, the tonka bean is what really stands out. It projects a lot for the first hour, but my only gripe is that it clings too much to the skin. If it lasted longer, it would be my absolute favourite. The longevity is decent, around 6 to 8 hours. I prefer it in spring rather than winter.

  • I really like L’Ange Noir by Givenchy. Its combination of notes is quite particular; on my skin, I feel the iris dominating at first, then the sesame stands out, making it very different from the others. As it dries down, I notice traces of sesame and the tonka bean takes over. It projects quite well for the first hour, but the downside is that this wonderful, super-original fragrance stays very close to the skin. It would be my favourite if the projection lasted longer. The longevity is decent, around 6 to 8 hours. I prefer it more in spring than in winter or autumn.

  • This fragrance was, at first, a NO for me. The sesame with the iris was a terrible combination. For the first two hours, I felt the fragrance with that very strong powdery touch that even made me nauseous. Then things calmed down a little (and I say a little because it moved to tonka bean with some pink pepper and that unpleasant burnt sesame aftertaste). To my bad luck, it has fantastic longevity and good projection (I think this detail is the only good thing to highlight about L’ange noir). I will try to give it a second chance and see how it evolves on me, but this first impression was indeed fatal.

I thought it would follow the line of Ange ou des Démon, but it’s nothing of the sort; it’s heavy, plastic, intense, and sweet.

  • In simple terms, it’s a sweetened iris like almond cream, with a touch of pepper to give it a darker, less innocent twist. It could be the cousin of Dior Homme Intense. Suitable for evening occasions and cold climates; it doesn’t reach the level of a costume, but it certainly has character, as while it is warm and floral, the spicy note makes it quite imposing.

  • L’ange noir is a Givenchy fragrance I hadn’t heard much about; it flew under the radar and turns out to be a marvel. Many compare it to Dior Homme Intense, but I only see similarities in the high dose of iris, perhaps towards the end of the dry down. This unisex gem begins with a plastic, artificial burst reminiscent of feminine makeup; don’t panic, it lasts less than 10 minutes. It then transforms into an explosion of toasted almonds and sesame with a background of tonka bean and just the right amount of sweetness. It remains linear with that addictive gourmand scent. Its weak point is the projection: it lasts around 6 hours or more with the right temperature, but it projects nothing, sticking close to the skin. What a pity, because given its dark and opulent nature, it should have a pronounced trail to be perfect. Apparently, it has been discontinued; on the official website, only the EDT appears, which, judging by the notes, I doubt is related at all. It is unique, unlike anything I have tried, reminding me of Alicante and Jijona nougats mixed together, an oriental gourmand experience worth it despite the lack of projection.

  • L’ange Noir is a Givenchy fragrance I haven’t heard much about; it slipped under the radar with a low profile and is simply wonderful. Many compare it to Dior Homme Intense, but I personally find few similarities except for the high dose of iris; perhaps in its final dried-down stage, it might recall Dior. This Givenchy marvel, which could perfectly be unisex, begins with a plastic, artificial burst like feminine makeup; don’t be alarmed, this lasts about ten minutes or less. Gradually, it transforms into an explosion of toasted almonds and sesame with a base of tonka and just the right amount of sweetness. From then on, it remains fairly linear, maintaining this addictive gourmand scent. The weak point is the projection; although it lasts around six hours, perhaps more with the right temperature, it projects nothing, staying very close to the skin, which is a pity because this fragrance, with its dark and opulent nature, should have a pronounced trail, which would make it perfect. It seems to be discontinued, as the official Givenchy website only shows the EDT version, which, given its notes, I don’t believe resembles this at all. This fragrance is unique as it doesn’t resemble anything I’ve tried; it reminds me greatly of Spanish nougats from Alicante and Jijona, a blend of both, a unique oriental gourmand experience worth it despite its scarce projection.

  • I’ve been testing it for two days; at first, I didn’t like it much, but as the hours passed, I started to appreciate it. Deep down, it reminds me slightly of Lolita Lempicka, and that’s precisely why I ended up liking it.

  • AlexUomo

L’ange Noir is one of the most exquisite fragrances I’ve ever tested, which is why I bought it; I didn’t mind it having a certain feminine air. I’ve tried hundreds of scents, and this is different from everything else. As soon as you put it on, that aroma of pink pepper combined with almond paste makes it sublime. It’s a refined almond, in the style of a first-class cake. Then it settles more into sesame before highlighting the tonka bean. It’s a unique perfume that immerses you in a different world of gourmand combinations, so it’s undoubtedly in my top 10. I agree with others that it would be incredible if its trail and longevity lasted longer. If so, it would be perfection. For now, unfortunately, it’s no longer available in Argentina.

  • BleuMinette

It’s a unique, elegant, and refined almond scent, nothing sugary or loud. At first, it reminds me of a 90s powder makeup and feels slightly artificial, but then that phase gives way to almonds and sesame, which develop beautifully together. The longevity is good, though the projection is contained. It’s not designed to turn heads. It has immense personality and doesn’t remind me of anything I’ve tried before.

  • BleuMinette

It is a unique almond scent. Elegant, refined, not at all sugary or scandalous. At first, it reminds me of a 90s powder makeup (Angel’s Face) and feels a bit artificial, but afterwards that phase gives way to the almonds and sesame, which develop very well together. The longevity is very good, but the projection is quite contained. It is not a perfume to turn heads. It has a lot of personality; it does not remind me of any other I have tried.

  • SouthCarolina

I was buying perfumes recklessly until this one blew my mind. It’s exquisite; there’s no way you can walk past someone without them noticing. I can’t describe it with the official notes; what I sense most is pink pepper and tonka bean. To me, it smells like grapes, talcum powder, and something incredibly sophisticated. It doesn’t resemble anything else; it’s unique and full of character. The longevity is incredible, lasting an eternity on clothes. I bought it blind and it was a spectacular experience.

  • I absolutely love it; it’s a dark, deep perfume with immense personality. I wear it at work or whenever I want to project sophistication and seriousness. The longevity is excellent.
