It’s a rough, unrefined leather, akin to Falcon Leather but in its rawest form. While the FL is elegant and reserved, this Leather Atraction screams for attention with a street-tough character. Unrefined petroleum blended with ambroxan, herbal and camphoraceous notes; the oud sharpens everything and lingers at the base. Patchouli and musk soften the tone towards the end, once that petrol scent has faded. Except for that refined finish, I don’t think everyone will like it; only those who love powerful leathers without subtleties. The raw materials are high quality and it evolves slowly. I adore the finish, but the main aroma is just okay. Plus, being an extrait, it lasts for hours with projection that borders on overwhelming; it lingers on blotting paper for a week and on clothes for even longer. I don’t think it suits anything other than cold weather, and given its personal nature, it lacks versatility (here, the FL wins by a landslide). That’s why I’d advise testing it before buying.
