Tried the Good Girl by Carolina Herrera today; a friend owns it and oh my goodness, it smells too much like Máxima from Avon, which my mum has. The scents are similar, but the trail and longevity are in a completely different league. It’s the budget-friendly alternative to Good Girl without breaking the bank.

  2. Bought it for the bottle and the immortelle note. Initially, it smells floral, but then it fades on my skin, becoming duller and almost imperceptible. I sense it more as an eau de toilette, perhaps due to my skin type. I loved the creative concept, the ancient inspiration, and the amphora shape with the laurel leaf cap.

Definitely reminds me of Good Girl; a good option if you don’t want to splash out on Carolina Herrera. On my skin, the longevity is moderate, but very fair considering the price.

I liked it. I thought that such a sweet fruit note would be cloying for me, as I usually prefer citrus scents, but it surprised me. It’s the first sweet fragrance I’ve seen myself wearing daily. It’s very wearable if you enjoy fruity and sweet aromas. It’s neither excessively formal nor teenage; it’s all-rounder for spring, autumn, and winter during the day, without too much sensuality or potency for the evening. Longevity is moderate, like most Avon perfumes that last around 4-5 hours.

I liked it. I thought it would be cloying due to the sweet fruit and my preference for citrus, but it surprised me. It’s the first sweet fragrance I’ve seen myself wearing daily. Wearable if you like fruity and sweet scents. It’s not excessively formal or teenage; it’s all-rounder for spring, autumn and winter during the day, as it lacks the sensuality and potency for evening. Moderate longevity; almost all Avon perfumes last me about 4 to 5 hours.

  6. Very pleasant; I hesitated to buy it because I don’t like immortelle, but to my surprise, it’s not very noticeable. It smells nice, nothing original but well put together. It bears a strong resemblance to Good Girl by Carolina Herrera; it’s not a clone but follows the same line. I prefer Máxima as Good Girl gives me a headache. Medium longevity, excellent value for the price. Recommend if you like warm, sweet scents. The packaging is very elegant.

  8. A very pleasant fragrance. I had doubts because immortelle isn’t my favourite flower, but what a surprise; it doesn’t feel overpowering and smells lovely. Nothing original or world-beating, but it smells good. The resemblance to Good Girl by CH is quite strong; they aren’t identical clones, but they follow the same line. In fact, I prefer Máxima because Good Girl gives me a headache. Its longevity and projection are average, but for the price, it’s excellent. I recommend it if you like warm, slightly sweet scents. I’m happy with the purchase, and the packaging is very beautiful and elegant.

They gifted it to me and I wasn’t expecting much, but what a surprise. It smells like a good expensive perfume, with a dry-down of jasmine powder and nectarines. Immortelle is a flower I don’t recognise, but it seems very pleasant. If it only has these three notes, that’s wonderful. I’ve really enjoyed it; it’s good, looks good, and is cheap while smelling expensive. We’ll see how it performs on my skin, its dry-down and durability. If it holds up, I’ll buy a few more bottles. Avon hits or misses; sometimes it’s a 10 and sometimes a 0, with no middle ground.

The concept of Máxima, as well as its masculine version, is inspired by Greek cosmology regarding plants of immortality. In the feminine version, the immortelle note stands out, the flower of the sun in Greco-Roman fields. It’s a yellow fruity-floral gourmand. I’m not usually a fan of such sweet fragrances; it reminds me slightly of Olympea, but the immortelle or goldenrod notes, the golden sun, encouraged me to buy it because it makes me feel like I’m wearing the sun on cold days. To accentuate that potent, healing note, I use doTerra goldenrod essential oil, which enhances it deliciously.

The concept of Máxima is inspired by the plants of immortality from Greek mythology, highlighting immortelle or Helichrysum, the flower of the Sun. It’s a yellow fruity-floral gourmand. I’m not usually a fan of sweet scents, but the notes of Helichrysum made me buy it because it makes me feel as though I’m in the sun on a cold day. To accentuate the honey and tobacco notes of the flower, I use doTerra Helichrysum essential oil and it turns out delicious.

  13. A lovely perfume for spring afternoons, autumn days, or cool summers. My skin doesn’t usually develop much intensity, so with a few drops, I find it normal, with moderate projection and longevity. At night, I’m used to stronger fragrances… Its dry-down reminds me very much of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, only Máxima is fresher and flatter in its notes. As it doesn’t vary much, personally, I also prefer it.

Avon’s Máxima: white floral, sweet and fruity. It projects strongly with peach and white flowers before drying down to vanilla. Ideal for cold weather, elegant for afternoons and evenings, suitable for ages 20 and up. Lasts 2 to 4 hours, smells designer-quality and is well-made by Avon.

Avon Máxima: a white floral, sweet, fruity, and gourmand perfume. It has a strong opening with a fruity combination of nectarine and delicate white flowers. Upon drying, it feels like vanilla, ideal for cold climates. I find it more elegant for evenings and nights, suitable for people aged 20 and above. Longevity is 2 to 4 hours. It’s a distinct perfume; by its scent, it looks like a designer fragrance. Well done, Avon!

  16. Smells of white flowers with a sweet touch like cocoa or vanilla; I don’t detect any peach. The scent is very similar to Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, it’s intense and long-lasting, better suited for evening wear and cold weather.

  17. At first, it smells wonderful, floral and gourmand, but then it becomes heavy. There’s something about it that’s off-putting; it smells of heavily roasted vanilla surrounded by intense jasmine. You need plenty of personality and self-love to wear this.
