The bottle is entirely metal; I’m not sure if it’s the same as in the photos, but that’s what it’s called. I picked it up at a good price and love wearing it around the house. It has talc-dusted roses, smelling more like a body cream with fresh roses. It has good longevity and I find it very feminine.

I bought it blindly based on the notes and positive reviews. It’s a clean, soapy scent with beastly longevity that lasts for hours. However, the woody notes hit me hard and, personally, I find them uncomfortable and even unpleasant, so I struggle to wear it.

Although it features oud and sandalwood, Musk Abiyad is pure clean, understated essence with an aquatic, green rose reminiscent of a bud, set against a soft woody backdrop. It smells like the classic bath gel foams, such as Black Tulip. To me, it feels unisex, projecting that neutral, freshly showered sensation that many men adore. If you’re missing out on the Original Musk or the old Mercadona EDT, this is a great alternative, although it lacks the white florals and the distinct oud note. The downside is that it’s not particularly original, and the box is a monolith that takes up half a wardrobe (when will manufacturers learn that we live in small flats?). The new bottle, with its silver ribbed glass, is less garish than the previous filigree version. In short: ideal for musk lovers and can be found very cheaply on Notino.
