I tried this when I was a teenager back in ’97, and it was a nightmare; it smells awful, just thinking about it gives me a headache.
The Rare Gold is a super sophisticated perfume at a price everyone can afford; I’d define it as feminine, elegant and classic. To me, it has a citrus opening, very floral and aldehydic throughout its structure, and dries down to be slightly musky. It’s a clean, powdery floral from the old school, well-made and timeless. It lasts and projects moderately for more than eight hours on skin and clothes, plus it’s a great price. Given its composition, it suits everything: all seasons and occasions. Highly recommended. Who will like it: lovers of white florals with an amber touch.
Girls, try the new Avon Rare Flowers from 2021. If you loved the Rare Gold and can’t find it anymore, this won’t disappoint. It has very similar middle notes, and I swear it’s worth it.

The best Avon perfume I’ve ever tried. It lasted forever. It’s a pity they no longer sell it in Argentina. I hate how perfumes are categorised by age; I used it at 15, nothing to do with an older woman. Everyone loved it. I used to wear it out at night in the 90s. It’s a super sensual aroma. I was lucky enough to find an intact bottle. Keeping a memory of my adolescence and my loves back then. Fortunately, I managed to get the original bottle with the black and gold box. Round bottle, luxury and elegance. A major blunder by Avon to take it off the market.

It’s a rich perfume, smells of mature flowers and lasts a long time on the skin. I like it very much and it reminds me of perfumes from the ’80s and ’90s. My mother says it smells of violets but it doesn’t contain any of those notes… but it’s very floral, as you can imagine.
The bottle is gorgeous, lasts all day and leaves a trail. What I notice most are the white flowers. It works great all year round and suits any age.
It’s potent and dense; it doesn’t bother me, but it’s not my favourite. It sounds very classic for a lady, quite serious.
The packaging is elegant and feminine. It smells good, serious and natural; when you apply it, it sticks to the skin as if it were your own scent. I love it even if it doesn’t quite fit my age. It’s floral, strong but ideal for daytime, neither too sweet nor citrusy. You can detect the lily and jasmine. I recommend it to women aged 25 and above; it’s pure and serious, nothing childish. It’s a scent that doesn’t tire you, and the base notes are delicious.
