They say it smells different on everyone, something highly valued in luxury perfumery. Warm, fruity, and herbaceous at first, then it becomes woody and potent with sweet facets that lend it elegance. This blend makes it a velvet treasure, half-smoked by the whisky and patchouli in the dry down. It’s my favourite after Fantasque from this collection.

I read the storytelling and thought it would be whisky and leather, a masculine scent. But the Fragrantica notes don’t match what it smells like: it’s sweet, dusty, fruity, and vanilla-like, then woody, very unisex, even feminine, which repulses me. Perhaps it’s my fault for expecting something like Baraonda or Tartan Cask, but it smells very synthetic and generic, without soul.
It’s a captivating fragrance where the davana, whisky, and vetiver really shine through. I bought it and enjoyed it loads until it felt too masculine for me, so I stopped wearing it. It’s a proper treat for cold days and nights.
