What a fantastic perfume! I loved it so much that I wanted it to be remade for years. Now that it has been relaunched at €290… I’m not sure if it’s the same, but the price doesn’t seem to justify it.

Sicily is unisex, vintage, wild, and very green; it doesn’t resemble any other perfume. Perhaps it has a faint air of ‘Chapelle 75’, but it is very original. It is addictive; it could certainly be a Chanel ‘Exclusif’. I feel fortunate to own it because the combination of notes is fragrance perfection. White floral/woody green, talc-like, and spiced. Zero creamy, zero lactonic, and zero cloying because even the banana is fresh. You will receive compliments, it will make you feel special, and your experiences with it will be less ephemeral. You can dress in tunics, and if you spray ‘Sicily’ by D&G, you add points to elegance and attractiveness… general social acceptance. 🕯️ 10/10.🔥

Sicily by Dolce & Gabbana is an extremely imaginative yet classic fragrance, at the same time mischievous and pure, like Monica Bellucci staring at you intently while eating a spoonful of honey. It is definitely floral (jasmine, rose, heliotrope, and honeysuckle), rather sweet and linear. Immediately, the vibrant jasmine is noticeable, then gives way to the warmth of the rose and honeysuckle, with the banana appearing afterwards. A perfume for mature, feminine, and warm women (just like Sicily!). Perfect for warm summer evenings; its elegant and sensual aroma spreads, blending with summer flowers. In Sicily, everything is delicate, sweet but nothing innocent, like a lover who does not need to impose and ends up very pleasantly and finely intertwined with an elegant creaminess. The longevity is good, the trail is discreet but perceptible for hours. If you like seductive scents without being intrusive, this D&G proposal is among the best I have ever smelled and goes straight to the heart if you are lucky enough to find it.

A collector put some fragrances up for sale, and I bought Sicily. I saw the commercial on YouTube, and it is exactly as the sensation portrays: a sexy, confident woman in the height of heat, imposing her walk. What a rich fragrance, flavourful, creamy, classy but daring. (Nothing to do with Chanel No. 5). That touch of nutmeg makes it unique by blending its notes so well. I see it as brilliant for beach holidays to go out for dinner and smell phenomenal. I will treasure it because I know it is discontinued and can only be found at astronomical prices; I would never sell it; it stays with me until the bottle is empty.

I just bought it blind because I knew it was discontinued and at a good price. It is very particular; I cannot find a relation to Chanel No. 5, I do not feel the aldehydes, it has a citrus opening, and as soon as it starts to dry down, the banana and nutmeg are noticeable; it could be perfectly unisex. I liked it; it feels distinguished. It lasted approximately 4 hours on my skin; it is not a bomb, but it is very interesting.

I have had this piece of art for over ten years; I bought it in a free trade zone where I went to ‘hunt’ for discontinued jewels. I found Sicily through the recommendation of a saleswoman who heard I was looking for ‘creamy and summery’ aromas. But this is something else. It smells like a complete, elegant woman. Black dress and huge diva sunglasses; it is sparkling and magnetic. It shares notes with Chanel No. 5, but the banana top note gives it the game of a feminine and ultra-sensual summer. I am fascinated by using it; it transports me to other eras, one of timeless elegance. The soapy base note allows it to also function as a high-class clean scent. If you are looking for youthful, easy-going sexy gourmands for clubs and guys who listen to reggaeton, this is not your perfume.

I have had this jewel for over a decade; I found it in a duty-free shop looking for discontinued pieces. A saleswoman recommended Sicily because I was seeking something creamy and summery, but this is a different league entirely: it smells like a complete, elegant woman, like a diva in a black dress and oversized glasses, sparkling and magnetic. It has notes reminiscent of Chanel No. 5, but that banana opening gives it a feminine and ultra-sensual twist. I love wearing it because it transports me to eras of timeless elegance. The soapy base gives it that high-class clean scent. If you are looking for a youthful, easy, sexy gourmand to go clubbing with guys who listen to reggaeton, this is not for you.

I do not understand the comparison with Chanel No. 5 at all. Sicily is a combination of those white floral favourites of perfumery that Chanel No. 5 also has, but overshadowed by vetiver and moss. That touch that makes Sicily seem milky or creamy might be from the banana; one could think it has almonds.

Banana and more banana in an elegant version without being cloying, with a slightly perceptible nutmeg and that characteristic honeysuckle that Dolce & Gabbana used to have.

This is a perfume of truly cosmic dimensions. I cannot believe they are discontinuing works of art like this! If you are lovers of classics and manage to get hold of it, it is an absolute must-have. Like other vintage aromas, it has overwhelming notes. For me, the standout notes are banana and orange blossom, followed by nutmeg, cayenne, and a sandalwood base. It has a soapy and talcum-powdered air. The result is very sensual. The dry-down is much richer than the opening. The sillage is moderate, which is an advantage because otherwise it would be overwhelming. The longevity is endless. Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

Not for me; it smells like ordinary soap, nothing exquisite. It reminds me strongly of Chanel No. 5, so if you like that classic, go for it, but neither this nor the original suits me. It feels like a fragrance from another era, very matronly. I admit it would make a great gift for an older aunt or cousin (around 40s) or a boss. It’s not my style; I bought it because Azuriiita recommended it and she has good taste, but I was wrong—it just doesn’t work on me.

It reminds me of Arabic perfumes from Al-Haramein or Swiss Arabian, those wonderful houses from the Emirates. If you like exquisite oriental scents, take a look at these brands. There are many reviews on Fragrantica in English. It feels exquisite and very sensual. Highly recommended.

Before I knew Chanel No. 5, I had already fallen in love with Sicily. They share some traits but are distinct. Here, seduction and passion play a key role; it’s an Italian-inspired fragrance. It is elegant and refined, yet bold, intoxicating, and alluring. The image of Monica Bellucci translates the scent perfectly: a ripe, juicy banana with hints of wet vanilla from heliotrope and soft touches of nutmeg make Sicily irresistible. You can also detect the musk, with jasmine and sandalwood standing out. My Italian roots made me fall for its madness several times; now I keep it as a relic. It makes me feel like a powerful, sensual Italian. If No. 5 is the romantic side, Sicily is Italian seduction and passion at its peak.

One of the most accomplished women’s perfumes; to me, it smells like a delicious coconut and I always imagine a super-elegant woman with this aroma. I remember the ad with Monica Bellucci… ah! speechless. I think it is one of the best things D&G has done, alongside BY and D&G Woman.

I picked it up last week at an import shop looking for something different and, unable to resist, I tried it. At first I thought: it smells like soap! Old soap, something from my childhood, very strong; I thought it wasn’t for me, but I kept smelling it. After a few minutes, the intensity dropped and I started to truly enjoy it. It feels so clean, elegant, with a lot of body, very feminine and attractive; seductive, I don’t know, it reminded me of the feelings from Chanel No. 5, and I saw that F.com indicates this. Well, without further ado, I took it home and then saw that the scent changes and improves even more: it feels warm, sweet, with vanilla, chocolatey, and at this point its intensity drops to moderate. On me, it started aldehydic and finished oriental. It is the first time I have rated a perfume; I give it a 10, its longevity lasts from morning until the next day.

Regarding the comparison with Bulgari, if you’re referring to Petits et Mamans, I don’t think there’s any resemblance.

One of my favourites; if I were to make a top ten list, it would be included. I confess it is one of those perfumes that is difficult to wear on a man, hehe, because it seems too feminine and feminine. It is sensual, elegant, luminous, and charming; it smells delicious… it always puts me in a good mood. If I am having a bad day, simply smelling my wrists is enough to bring back a smile. I confirm that the opening conveys that sensation of fine, elegant soap. Depending on the weather or ventilation, it offers varied nuances (floral, oriental, more intense or soft). Its little touch of banana with caramel is delicious (without being gourmand). All the notes are well-balanced. The longevity is magnificent, over 10 hours without any issues. It enhances femininity, romance, and intimacy… I love it <3... but horror!, it is discontinued or produced in small quantities, so finding one is a stroke of luck.

If you can’t find this perfume because it’s been discontinued, try Bulgari’s children’s cologne; you won’t regret it. Let me know what you think. Otherwise, CienFragancias has the dupe and it lasts a long time. Some alternatives! 😉

Alongside the original Dolce & Gabbana Woman, one of the best from these designers. Very clean, soapy. It belonged to my sister, and I sometimes stole it, although I was too young for such a fragrance. Why do they withdraw fantastic perfumes from the market to flood us with simple, boring, soulless copies of each other?
ALICIA
I was so eager to try this fragrance that I finally managed to. At first a bit strong, but after a few minutes, wow, wonderful on my skin. A clean-soapy scent with a touch of delicious sweetness that doesn’t last long, very special. I note it as more aldehydic than oriental; it’s one of the best from Dolce & Gabbana alongside Donna. Its longevity is quite good. For night outings and in cold or rainy weather, it suits me perfectly. Undoubtedly, a gem of a perfume.

It is a super special fragrance, full of contrasts: tender yet sensual, soft yet intense. I fell in love with it the moment I smelled it for the first time. The downside is that it’s now hard to find; it seems they’ve discontinued it in duty-free shops. I find it incredible that it isn’t a classic. Like the ‘Donna’ from the same house, it has that old soap scent that I adore. To me, it is the very essence of a romantic perfume.
