On blotting paper, the citrus and wood notes shine through, beautifully supported by the floral heart. It smells of luxury and tradition, like stepping into a high-end furniture store. It reminds me of a Scottish stone castle: understated luxury, without excessive ornamentation, but with quality raw materials. I imagine solid wood furniture, bathrooms with porcelain basins and copper plumbing, and real fireplaces. I really like it, although I admit I’ve smelled similar scents in men’s perfumes before, though I can’t recall exactly which ones. It’s very classic, exuding elegance and confidence. It goes perfectly with tailored looks in brown or neutrals for women. For men, it’s more versatile and I think it makes for an easy gift.
