I don’t know why I write reviews, but this perfume has nothing to do with the promised notes. I doubt they’re selling me a cheap copy, as there’s no trace of the earthy or woody scents they describe. It smells super blue and floral, with a watery touch and perhaps a hint of wood. The downside is that it doesn’t last at all.
Today I’m giving it a second chance and admitting I do like it. I sprayed it at 8 am and at noon it’s still strong, especially on my t-shirt. What I notice most is the wood, then the gin, and a bit of violet that just accompanies. The labdanum adds creaminess. It smells like a luxury furniture workshop, with the scent of fine woods, dyes, and new leather.
I tested it three times before buying. I liked the penetrating, spicy wood and sweet alcohol scent, so I couldn’t resist an online deal. But at home, when I tried it on my skin, the gin and floral mix overpowers everything, leaving no room to enjoy that woody oriental. It’s not bad, but I shouldn’t have rushed to buy it… my own fault.
