I tried Truly Lace straight out of the bottle and it hooked me immediately; although I don’t recall whether it evolved or was linear, its essence stuck with me. It was a blend of white flowers, fresh cocktail-style fruits, and a very prominent sandalwood, with vanilla at the base and a powdery touch. It had nothing to do with other perfumes of that era; it had its own personality, youthful yet elegant thanks to the wood. It wasn’t soft; it had opulence and strength, without being innocent, packed with character and smelling of luxury, nothing cheap. It lasted forever with standout projection. I adored it; I don’t know if it’s been discontinued, but when my bottle ran out, I searched for it like crazy and couldn’t find it again. Truly, it was a fantastic fragrance at a ridiculous price.
