  • Rose, rose and vanilla. I’m surprised they don’t list rose as the main note. The vanilla adds sensuality while the anise cuts the sweetness so it doesn’t become cloying. It captures Audrey Hepburn perfectly: elegant, strong yet innocent. It’s potent, lasts all day and lingers on the pillow when you wake up. Ideal for winter or evening. I’ve received many compliments and it makes me feel wonderful. It was my signature for years; I put it aside, but my mum lent it to me and I remembered why it’s so special. It can never be missing.

What a beautiful perfume! At first, it’s just rose, then vanilla and anise. Over time, it softens and the notes alternate, with vanilla reigning supreme, followed by anise and a creamy rose. The patchouli is barely noticeable. The projection is brutal and it lasts over 12 hours.

  • A huge disappointment. I adore Givenchy, but this rose smells different from the original or the Very Intense. I think the peony ruins it, giving it a watery touch, and the vanilla is nowhere to be found.

  • They sent me the purple one by mistake, but since I wasn’t going to return it, I gave it a try. It smells very similar to the Intense but is lighter and lasts forever. In the end, I stuck with the classic pink because its anise scent envelops me more. A lovely addition to the collection.

I love this perfume; it’s super floral and sweet. Much better than its EDT sibling and more for night use, but it can also be worn during the day. I don’t like the opening, but afterwards there’s a delicious rose scent mixed with vanilla, and that’s what remains.

The memorable and romantic rose of the original is here, but the vanilla and anise notes make it very sweet, as its name suggests. It makes you feel sensual, feminine, confident and capable of conquering the world. Perfect for winter; in the heat it would be suffocating. Moderate-to-high sillage, noticeable but without being vulgar. It lasts 8 hours; I usually reapply just for the pleasure of the scent. I fell in love the moment I tried it.

The memorable and romantic rose of the original Very Irresistible is here too, but the vanilla and anise notes make it very sweet, as its name says. It makes you feel sensual, feminine, secure and capable of conquering the whole world if you set your mind to it. Perfectly for winter; in high temperatures it would feel stifling to me. Moderate-to-high trail; it’s noticeable but nothing vulgar or overwhelming. Longevity of 8 hours; I tend to reapply to revive its notes and feel them just for the sheer pleasure of its scent. I fell in love with it from the very first moment I encountered it.

For many years I searched for a scent that characterised me, and finally I found it. I remember buying it in Laredo, Texas, as a tester, and I fell in love immediately; it’s everything its name claims: Very Irresistible and sensual. It drives my partner mad and doesn’t want me to stop using it. I perceive a slight minty note, but the scent itself screams pure eroticism.

I’d been searching for a scent that defined me for years and I found it. I bought it in Laredo, Texas, as a tester and fell in love instantly. It delivers exactly what its name promises: incredibly irresistible and sensual. It drives my partner crazy and won’t let me stop wearing it. I detect a hint of mint, but it’s pure eroticism.

  • I had it a few years ago. Very intense, long-lasting, with a huge trail. I feel the rose is soft; what stands out is the vanilla, which is what I like most. When I can, I’ll buy it again. For safety’s sake, let’s not stop producing it, as happened with some other fragrances.

  • The perfume of Las Aparicio! Watching the Mexican series, I noticed Mercedes Aparicio, while talking about a date with her suitor in her sister Alma’s room, was all excited about how she was going to dress, and I recognised those little bottles of Very Irresistible EDT and Sensual. I won’t forget that scene when Alma (the horny sexologist) watched Mercedes get dressed in a hurry and smiled as she took the Very Sensual and applied it to her wrists, neck, chest and knickers, right between the legs. By then I already had a 3ml sample of this fragrance and used it for special occasions. Definitely it’s suitable for bold, sexy women with presence. In itself, the fragrance makes you feel empowered to seduce. It evokes a casual dinner in Southern France, where anise is used a lot (I didn’t like anise until I met this perfume and fell in love with it by scent; I can’t tolerate it in any other way). Excellent alchemy for seducing with personality, attitude and sensual boldness…

  • Sexy, sexy, sexy! I like this perfume so much that I know I’ll have it again someday. I find it very sophisticated, ideal when I want to feel secure and attract attention (in a good way). During the time I wore it, people asked a lot, especially men, what fragrance I was wearing. No wonder; this perfume has more than enough personality. It affirms you; it’s an ‘here I am’ made into a scent.

I bought it because my sister had it, and when I smelled it, I liked it a lot. I purchased a 50ml gel version, and as a gift, they gave me a replica in 2005, right when it launched. I adored it; I wore it in any season because I loved it so much. The gel version lasted a long time because I only needed a little. I still keep that little bottle as a memento (in fact, it’s the only one I have) as a tribute to that scent I loved so much. I’ve been searching for that same gel version, but it’s nowhere to be found, not even online. I would love to have it again.

  • Since this flanker came out, I fell in love with the scent; it was my sister-in-law’s signature fragrance. Every time she wore it, I’d ask what she was wearing; it’s sensual, romantic and cuddly. Its rose is beautiful, subtle and delicate, yet very present; the anise and vanilla make it sweet without being sugary, and the patchouli gives it presence and magic. I don’t detect the peony, but I imagine it balances the rose so it isn’t as opulent as in other perfumes. She gifted me half a bottle four years ago, as it’s not easy to find, and I’ve only used about 10ml in this time, so I’ll have to let it go; it’s a tragedy because the scent fascinates me, but something in its composition causes an allergy; I start sneezing and get a runny nose 😭😭😭

  • As others have commented below, please bring it back. It has always been my favourite perfume and one of the most flattering. The trail and longevity are incredible. I used to wear it to go dancing (I know, haha, I wouldn’t do that today), then I’d come home, fall asleep, and the next morning my pillow would smell of it. Sweet and spiced rose but ultra-feminine; it’s a bomb. Elegant, sophisticated, sexy and feminine. One of the best from Givenchy. I don’t know why they discontinued it =(
