Descripción

Very Irresistible Eau de Parfum by Givenchy is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion, Sophie Labbé and Carlos Benaïm. The top notes unfold with star anise, pear and green apple; the heart reveals a Liv Tyler rose, rose, peony and magnolia; while the base notes complete the structure with rose, vanilla and patchouli.

  • A rich perfume with a good trail and it lasts hours as if freshly applied. I like it because it’s strong; it’s an Eau de Parfum. I’ve just bought it and hope it doesn’t tire me out as it’s quite potent, but it smells fantastic. I recommend it, ideal for going out!

  • I didn’t understand a thing. I was looking for the Sensual and they told me it was out of catalogue, so they offered me this Eau de Parfum. I admit it’s not identical, but it smells very similar. It lasted hours on my skin. At first I hesitated and didn’t want to buy it, but I’ll be back for it. I love it. It smells of vanilla and leaves a huge trail. Here in Argentina it’s very hot, so use a little to avoid being overwhelming, but you certainly won’t go unnoticed.

It has a brutal fixative. At first, it didn’t convince me at all, but wait a moment and magic happens: it evolves until it leaves a trail identical to 212 Sexy, that discontinued favourite of mine. I went absolutely crazy for this perfume, even if only for how it smells after a while.

  • I have been using it for many months and have fallen in love with this brand again. Alongside L’Intense, these are my favourites. It is like the original but with a better trail and longevity. I love it; it is refreshing, floral, youthful and feminine.

I remember this fragrance with great nostalgia. It was one of my favourites; every time I wore it, I received compliments. It is a pity it is no longer produced.

  • A delicious and addictive fragrance, I can’t stop smelling myself, it’s almost intoxicating, sexy and youthful. I remember it from when I was given a sample when it launched. I fell in love and always wanted to own it. It’s now one of my favourites and I adore it. The longevity and trail are brutal. The bottle is gorgeous, an elegant and sophisticated gradient purple. It’s perfect!

  • A delicious fragrance, addictive; I cannot stop smelling it, it is almost intoxicating, sexy and youthful. I remember when I was given a sample in a store when it first launched. I fell in love and always wanted to own it. Today it is one of my favourites and I simply adore it. Longevity and trail are excellent. The bottle is a beautiful purple gradient, elegant and sophisticated. It is perfect.

Very Irresistible is the fragrance that, at least for me, boasts the most delicious anise version, accompanying every stage of its longevity alongside the patchouli, yet the rose remains the true star. I adore the roses in all the Very Irresistibles because they are not conservative; they are cheerful and dynamic, combining into a fragrance that is undeniably seductive, sensual, alluring, sparkling, and intrepid. It evokes intelligent, sexy women with a wide smile, a sense of humour, and mental acuity, like Alma Aparicio in the series ‘Las Aparicio’, who wore both the EDP and EDT. I love the EDP for winter nights and use the EDT on autumn days and spring-summer evenings. A few sprays project an excellent trail and longevity from an essence that is sure to receive compliments.

Very Irresistible is the one with, for me, the most delicious anise version. It accompanies each phase alongside the patchouli, but the rose is the great protagonist. I love the roses from this line because they aren’t conservative; they’re cheerful and dynamic, combining a fragrance that is extremely seductive, sensual, attractive, sparkling and intrepid. It evokes intelligent, sexy women with a broad smile, a sense of humour and mental acuity, like Alma Aparicio in ‘Las Aparicio’, who used the EDP and EDT. I adore the EDP for winter nights and the EDT for autumn, spring and summer days. A few sprays project an excellent trail and longevity, an essence that will surely receive compliments.

I spent years avoiding this perfume due to its bottle, notes, and because I considered it the younger sibling of the Irresistibles line. This summer, roses completely captivated me, so I finally decided to buy it. It is exquisite and outshines Rosy Crush. It is less youthful and more profound; the opening is very sweet, which is slightly alarming at first, but then the less sweet yet creamy roses emerge, thanks to the magnolia and vanilla, while the patchouli adds a natural touch. It is a Givenchy that never lets you down in terms of longevity and projection, versatile and usable in all seasons, though one must be careful during very hot summers.

I’d been avoiding this perfume for years because of the packaging, the notes, and because I saw it as the younger brother of the Live Irresistibles. This summer the roses drove me mad and I decided to buy it. It’s exquisite! And it dethrones the Rosy Crush, full stop. It’s less youthful, more deep. The opening is very sweet and can be a bit alarming, then the roses become less sweet, creamy thanks to the magnolia and vanilla, and natural due to the patchouli. A Givenchy that never abandons you in terms of longevity and projection, it’s versatile and usable all year round, just be careful in very hot summers.

I visited a Texan border town, and my poor sense of direction led me to a perfume outlet; to my surprise, the bottle was in the ‘damaged’ bin because it was missing its cap. Unfortunately, it was the only one, and my bad luck crossed the border when I couldn’t find it again until today in my country. It’s an aroma I associate with Mexican ponche. The anise doesn’t bother or overwhelm; all the ingredients are very well structured.

  • It’s rich, fresh, and feminine, attractive, yet in my experience, I didn’t find it sweet but rather with a bitter edge. Still, it’s very good. The terrible thing is its performance; I got rid of it because it doesn’t last at all—max six hours on clothes if it’s even present, already fading. Of all my fragrances, I liked this one, but it’s the only one I removed from my collection due to its performance. Perhaps that makes it economical. The bottles confuse and overwhelm me; I can’t tell them apart except for the one I’m reviewing. Once I smelled another, I remember it was more pink, in a holographic bottle, stronger and more feminine; I don’t know which one it was. The worst part is that people used to gift it to me, yet I never wanted it.

  • Very sexy; the main note is rose and I’m fascinated by it. People always ask me what perfume I’m wearing. I’ve been using it for years, starting with the discontinued Sensuelle, but this version is remarkably similar. An aromatic jewel in a fuchsia bottle.

  • Powdery, sweet roses highlighted by vanilla; I can detect every note, and on my skin, that sweet touch really shines. It has great longevity and sillage. If you’re looking for elegant roses, this is the one. It lasts a week on clothes, which convinced me to buy it. I only have the 30 ml because it’s expensive, but I love it and use it sparingly to preserve it.

  • This perfume is very lovely, it smells of dusty roses, slightly sweet from the vanilla, anise… I feel all its notes, and on me that vanilla sweetness stands out giving it a special touch. It has consistency and trail. If you want to smell of beautiful and elegant roses, this is your perfume. On clothes it has excellent longevity; when I tested it, my garment kept the scent for a week, which is why I decided to buy it. I have the 30ml because it’s quite expensive, but I love to enjoy this aroma and use it moderately to preserve it.

  • Silvanacopp

Modern, bold roses that open fresh and spiced with anise, backed by vanilla and patchouli; everything is perfectly balanced. An absolute must-have in my collection; I simply adore it.

  • Silvanacopp

A perfume of modern and bold roses. It smells of a fresh and spicy opening due to the anise, with those modern roses more vanilla and patchouli at the base, all well balanced. It can’t be missing from my collection. I love it!

  • My favourite from Givenchy. I never get tired of repeating it. It’s the only rose perfume that makes you feel young (I always associated the smell of roses with old age). A sophisticated and elegant fragrance, I like it a lot for wearing at night in winter, at special events or parties. It’s never unnoticed and I always receive compliments. Good longevity on skin and good trail, not invasive but never unnoticed. If you like roses, it’s a blind buy that never fails.

  • I used this fragrance a lot, buying it several times. Then I started varying my scents, but certainly I would choose it again. I have poor longevity in general and this one was always praised; I managed to feel its trail. It’s a sexy, feminine, youthful, floral… beautiful scent. I loved it for dusk and evening in autumn and spring.

  • It’s one of the most long-lasting perfumes I own. I can easily still smell it on my skin and it has a great trail; the next day with just two sprays. Without a doubt, it matched my skin perfectly. It smells floral and sweet, and the anise is noticeable. It’s for special occasions for me due to its great longevity. Feminine, elegant, with presence.

  • Despite being on the market for years, I never stopped to smell it, but when I did, I was eclipsed by that anise rose which feels creamy or powdery… I like it very much, I see it as versatile and not overused… elegant. I’m keeping it. I recommend it.

  • Ingrid Yegros

I love it, I love it, I love it. Since forever. Love at first sniff. There are no words, it’s my perfume of years. Elegant, refined, delicate, yet it makes a strong impression. It’s number one on my perfume list.

  • It’s a charming perfume, but the dry-down of all the Givenchy Irresistibles is the same, or perhaps it’s just my imagination.

  • Perla Vencis

After years, this beautiful rose scent returned to my vanity. On my skin, it shines as the Liv Tyler rose, an African rose created specifically for this perfume. It boils down to fruity rose with peony and magnolia. Throughout, anise wraps around the roses, making them anise-flavoured and powdery. Very pretty, not invasive. Easy to wear. If you like roses, it’s an excellent choice.

  • It has a certain elegance and a good combination of notes. I perceive it as floral and feminine, noticeable anywhere. I love its longevity and trail; it has a base I like, though I can’t quite distinguish it. For some, it might be cloying due to the sweetness, which is why I use it in autumn and winter. Yes, I would buy it again.

  • Very Irresistible is floral, sweet, very feminine, and lasts a long time. Upon application, it smells of fresh, almost aquatic rose. Then comes the anise and vanilla, sweetening and adding quite a bit of powderiness; the star anise is noticeable, in my case the scent blends with the taste. It resembles other sweet, powdery roses, something formal and mature, like Miss Dior. The performance is top-notch, lasting more than seven hours, with average but constant projection.

Oh my goodness, this smells like paradise. It’s incredibly sensual and hypnotic; the scent of the wearer seems to follow you. Very feminine and seductive, it never gets tiring and invites you to keep smelling it. It creates an addiction that’s hard to explain. It’s the very definition of seduction, elegance, and a woman with class. It is Very Irresistible to 100%.
