I think this is the perfume that smells most of flowers to me of all I’ve had. It’s an intense floral scent that however doesn’t make the perfume penetrating, nor does it repel at all. Even those who don’t appreciate floral scents won’t be offended by this perfume, which is fresh, at the same time sweet. IF I had to use one word to describe it, I’d say it seems romantic to me, although it’s a somewhat strange word for a perfume. Perhaps it’s its combination of floral aromas that suggest romance to me, it’s not at all sensual, it’s more the classic perfume a lover would wear for a date with her beloved, tender, fresh, with just the right amount of sweetness to be romantic and freshness to not be heavy. On my skin it’s quite persistent, I must have very grateful skin (or a very good sense of smell). But anyway, I wear it in the morning and still smell it in the afternoon, for example, if I walk down a corridor from one room to another, when I later turn back on my steps, I perceive the trail of the aroma I’ve left. I would never use this fragrance in winter, it seems too fresh to me. For that very reason, I always wear it during the day and only in spring and summer. Being a pleasant fragrance, it’s not impactful or striking, so it can be suitable for any woman who wants to wear a pleasant perfume in these hot seasons. Perhaps those who don’t like sweet aromas might find it excessive, for aromatic tastes, but to me it seems perfectly balanced between sweetness and freshness.
This might be one of the Guerlain fragrances I’ll be able to wear, for jasmine lovers, this is very good, the sillage is moderate but the longevity is great, it stays close to the skin. A fragrance for romantic evenings, men usually like this perfume quite a bit on a woman. The patchouli is very soft here, being a clean jasmine and valley lily more intense, I can’t smell the fruits in it.
Ydylle seems to me a very delicate floral at the same time as powerful, with a mainly jasmine aroma. As Sagittarius said well, it’s intense but not penetrating. I confirm it has good longevity. I have little more to say about this fragrance… they tried to sell it to me and I liked it, but it didn’t convince me.
This perfume is floral, the most I detect is a smell of roses, with other flowers that are not distinguishable, but the whole is very harmonious; I don’t detect any special fruit; nor do I detect patchouli. In summary: it’s a fresh, cheerful, slightly sweet, and very feminine floral, it has the musk touch of narcissus, but I don’t think it resembles them; in fact the musk is light. Its longevity is about 8 hours, and the projection is moderate. I bought it because it was on offer and I couldn’t resist, but the truth is I’ve loved it, I recommend it.
It’s a jewel… I don’t detect any jasmine in it, it’s a delight, of incomparable refinement. Super sophisticated. I feel UNIQUE with it.
Oh yes, yes, Ydille you are wonderfully warm, soft, enveloping, romantic, with a light sweetness, I feel you embracing me, you are candid, subtle yet persistent, it smells of flowers with honey, lilies, lilacs, and roses, that’s all I perceive, it’s a perfume for fairytale princesses.
I’m not an expert in perfumery, but I had the chance to smell this women’s fragrance and I can say it’s very good, excellent quality in terms of the naturalness with which it recreates the smell of rose petals, a quite natural, soft, and elegant scent. Women’s perfumes don’t usually catch my attention because as a man and knowing nothing about perfumery, most of them seemed to me simply sweet with citrus… I used to appreciate men’s perfumes more for recreating the effect of smelling clean or woody… but in my opinion, this perfume is very artistic, it’s truly a pleasure to smell it, it makes you feel in a freshly watered garden full of roses… perhaps also having a basket with freshly cut rose petals near your nose… I want to clarify that for my untrained nose it smells of ROSES, perhaps experts might say it smells of something else… this is just my opinion… As for the season and occasion, in my opinion for a romantic date, and I don’t see it as too young, or perhaps not for a very party-loving girl… maybe for a quieter, more serious, sophisticated, and tender girl… youthful, formal, elegant, yet warm and full of self-confidence. To be used in autumn, spring, and winter.
Something curious happens with this fragrance on my skin… it smells mostly of jasmine, but on the blotter provided by the perfumer, the top notes steal the show! It’s pink, pink, pink, and more pink, boosted by lychee and raspberry which give it an acidity that makes them seem freshly picked, flooding our senses; and ‘sweetened’ by freesia. It’s refreshing but a bit intense at first sniff, like walking into a room full of flower bouquets, mainly composed of roses. I saw pink, white, and yellow lights. For flower lovers, this is a fragrance to consider… It could easily be the scent of ‘the flower girl’. I must try it more often on my skin… I confess I’m a bit intrigued now, hehehe
I didn’t like it much. I don’t know if it’s my skin’s pH, but I haven’t managed to distinguish what it smells like. I’ll keep it to see if I like it in a few months.
Beautiful perfume!!!!! One of the most lovely florals I’ve ever smelled, from the very first time, a romantic, delicate, and beautiful aroma, yes it smells of roses, but not only of them, it’s a very well-adorned floral ensemble. I see it perfect for noble, romantic, simple, peaceful, and sweet women, those who carry femininity in their blood without needing extra adornments to highlight it, this perfume was made for them 🙂 Lovers of Guerlain classics, who still don’t convince with Ydille, pay attention, this is a modern classic. The bottle is a beauty, a drop of rain? or a drop of a tear? perhaps love can’t make us cry? …..this time it did, but with joy.
Beautiful perfume, one of the prettiest florals I’ve ever smelled. From the first moment, a romantic, delicate and lovely aroma; yes, it smells of roses, but it’s a very well-adorned floral bouquet. I see it as perfect for noble, romantic, simple, gentle and sweet women, who carry femininity in their blood without extra adornments. This perfume was made for them. Lovers of Guerlain’s classics who haven’t been convinced by Idylle, pay attention, this is a modern classic. The bottle is a beauty, a drop of rain or a tear? Could love not make us cry? This time yes, but with joy.
Idylle is love made into perfume. It’s the feeling of butterflies in the stomach, the scent when looking at the loved one and the heart racing. It’s warm, romantic, feminine and elegant. It’s a love song, unforgettable. A love story ♡ Longevity: 9.10 Sillage: 10/10.
Vibrant, luxurious, hyper-feminine and formal fragrance. It reminds me of Fifth Avenue Original. It’s super long-lasting and intense, but not cloying; on the contrary, you can’t stop smelling it.
Very elegant fragrance, it doesn’t go wrong anywhere and you feel comfortable wearing it: it’s a cool, sensual and distant floral chypre… it’s neither sweet nor bitter, it’s like a shower of flowers on the skin. Its trail is moderate and its longevity very good. It’s like wearing a white gold choker with moonstones. I love it, it’s one of Thierry Wasser’s best creations.
A very elegant fragrance, with this aroma you don’t look bad in any place, moreover, you feel very comfortable with it: it is indeed, a slightly cool, sensual, distant chypre floral… it’s not sweet, however, nor does it have a ‘bitter’ smell, it is indeed: ‘a shower of flowers on the skin’… its sillage is moderate, its longevity very good. It’s similar to wearing a white gold choker with some moonstones. I love it. It’s one of the best creations by perfumer Thierry Wasser.
Pleasant sophistication: it’s a lighter and more refined version of Narciso Rodriguez’s For Her. It smells clean and musky, but with cheerier, sweeter and golden notes; less dry and powdery. It’s more subtle, floral, romantic and feminine. It’s a leading perfume: everyone likes it, it’s kind, comforting, pretty, delicate and classy, although it lacks its strong personality and its longevity is limited. USAGE: All year round / daytime / daily / formal / city. BOTTLE: A 9. It’s unique and reminds me of the Eiffel Tower; it seems a worthy representative of that city because it’s refined, optimistic and luminous. Guerlain are masters of packaging, they add a mystical value to the contents.
From what I’ve read, I must try it.
I bought it thinking it was equal to or better than Narciso Rodriguez and it’s nothing like it; it smells very sweet, so I had to give it to my sister.
My partner gave it to me when I was pregnant because she loved it, what a horror having to leave it untouched in the cupboard when pregnancy makes you repelled by certain fragrances. Also, it’s a very potent perfume.
Rich scent and it suits my grandmother perfectly; it’s floral, sweet, cheerful and fresh, very youthful.
This morning I went to the perfumerie to try this fragrance out of curiosity about the famous molecule it contains, and I also wanted to try the other one with that element, the Lalique Perles. Well, in Idylle, with all the elements well managed, I felt a slightly soapy and clean aroma in the initial floral notes and in the heart, which contrasts with the scent I believe I recognise from the famous molecule, which smells a bit like decomposed flowers, or something like that, a penetrating scent, the same as the Lalique Perles, but the latter is very evident and penetrating. I did not like the Lalique Perles at all compared to Idylle, which is very elegant. I would say it is more for afternoon and evening and for romantic dates; I think a man could enjoy this scent greatly. It is not very prudent to wear it to work or study; I do not feel it in that environment, it can be overwhelming. Scent 8, longevity 7, sillage 8.
Pure elegance! I recommend it for sophisticated, elegant and sensual women. The best of my collection!
Feminine, delicate, with body and sillage, sweet in just the right measure. I don’t know how I have been so long without knowing it. It is very expensive but worth every penny. It is worth having in any woman’s collection who likes feminine florals and wants them to be noticeable.
Finally, I have it in my collection again! In my country it is quite expensive but worth every cent, it is delicious and so refined, elegant and feminine; I am fascinated. It smells very fresh and juicy with lychee at first, then roses and other flowers, all so natural that I find nothing artificial in it. It is sweet, but not too much, and the scent changes, becoming creamy, sensual but without losing elegance and class. Idylle is my favourite because it was the perfume I wore on my wedding day; smelling it transports me back to that happy day, my husband waiting for me at the altar, the champagne and strawberries, the flowers and the elegance of a special and unique occasion, to love, to hope, to innocence and faith. I think Idylle will always accompany me to relive those happy memories; even if I try and buy more perfumes, I will always return to my idyllic love that reminds me of it. It is a tear of happiness for me. The scent of Idylle has no age, but it does have an occasion and should always be special, related to romance. Immediately, I think of a princess-cut wedding dress, diamonds and romantic makeup, but also fine lingerie full of lace, and why not? Hospital clothes, because it was in the hospital where I met and fell in love with the man of my life… Oh Idylle, you are love, innocence, joy, hope!
I like Idylle very much, but it is quite similar to other fragrances, such as Narciso Rodriguez for Her or Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, and of these three, the Narciso is my undisputed favourite. But let’s move on to the description. Idylle smells like a small bouquet of flowers where the rose slightly overpowers the others. From the start, you feel an aromatic rose, with freesia, lychee and a rich raspberry. Fifteen minutes into the evolution, I smell a fresh lily of the valley, with soft lilacs, peonies and jasmines, but soon the fragrance of those flowers goes to the background, becoming very faint, and the rose returns, becoming more and more potent. I cannot perceive any musk or patchouli; for me, the rose is so intense that it drowns out all the other notes. It is a feminine, elegant, delicate perfume that evokes tenderness, fragility and softness. It lasts on my skin for about 5 hours with a moderate sillage. A perfume for special and romantic occasions.
This is the first time I have smelled a perfume and bought it the same day. Normally, I take at least a day to observe the evolution on the blotter and on my skin, then return to the shopping centre and repeat the process to decide if it’s worth it. In the case of Idylle, it captivated me without thinking. The first impression of the top notes is not to my liking, but very quickly, in about twenty seconds, Idylle begins to reveal its beauty, which in my opinion increases in the heart phase. Although I prefer fruity-florals, I was looking for something different; Idylle intrigues me, and suddenly I feel I need a break from the scent and again I feel… wow! It seems delicious. Also, the special edition bottle (Bee bottle) created in 1853 is very pretty; I adore vintage cosmetic and perfumery packaging. I think the risk was worth it!
Very, but much too similar to Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP. I stick with the latter.
A work of art bottled as perfume. Idylle is romantic, elegant, cheerful and luminous, conveying love and joy. It opens with the sweetness of freesia and the tartness of lychee with raspberry. In the heart, the rose enters, and truly, I have never felt a rose so real as here; it seems to smell of petals freshly plucked, along with lily of the valley and lilies, a lovely bouquet as fresh as cut this morning. At the end, the rose stands out. Its sillage is medium to large, and on my skin the longevity is impeccable, over 10 hours. It is very beautiful, pleasant to most, feminine and timeless. Nothing to do with today’s cloying ‘fruity-florals’ nor the bombs of the 80s and 90s. It has the substance to become a classic. It is versatile, works in cool weather but looks great in warm environments. It suits both casual and formal occasions, matching a ballgown. It is striking enough to stand out but with delicate refinement. For me, it is the perfume of Aurora, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’, transmitting fairy-tale magic, a distant kingdom and a happy ending. In my opinion, one of Guerlain’s best creations, definitely one of my great favourites and essentials.
Idylle is so beautiful; it reminds me of a bride in a classic dress with a bouquet of white flowers. I visualise it in a romantic setting, probably because of the bottle’s shape which resembles the Eiffel Tower, and thinking of Paris is thinking of love. What I perceive most are lily of the valley and freesia; by God, the rose note doesn’t evolve on my skin, but I still value it. It is true that it resembles Narciso, but that doesn’t make it any less important. It has excellent longevity and sillage.
I ordered this perfume as a gift when I was 12 because I adored Gardenia and wanted to smell like flowers. My father took me to the perfumerie, and the assistant showed me Idylle; I fell in love at first sight. It is exquisite, delicate, refined and elegant, very fresh and never aggressive. It evokes tenderness and femininity. I still wear it for lunches, work dates or informal meetings with friends. It’s not because it’s not a bombshell—it definitely is! But it’s not meant to stand out or draw attention.
An impressive white floral, fresh and elegant. It has good trail and longevity. Suitable for warm and temperate climates; not extremely sweet, more on the fresh side. Very feminine, with lots of jasmine, lily and narcissus. A romantic aroma; I imagine a bride getting into the car heading to the church with this. I owned it, but when it ran out I replaced it with Narcisse For Her L’eau, which is very similar. Otherwise, it is a worthy child of Guerlain.
One of my favourites that does not go unnoticed. It is pure elegance and lasts quite a while on my skin. Sweet but not cloying.
A beautiful, delicate, feminine, romantic and elegant aroma. It exudes cleanliness and refinement, perfect for spring but wearable all year round. It does not go unnoticed without being overwhelming. Suitable for young and older women alike without sounding out of place. Totally recommended, always test on skin. Good 8-hour longevity and moderate projection.
I refused to buy it because it reminded me too much of the old Narcisse, although I adore Guerlain and collect many perfumes. However, Idylle stands out more in its floral notes and the musk does not dominate; it is feminine, delicate and romantic. The bouquet of rose and valley lily, with lilac, jasmine and peony, dances over a musky base with a juicy touch of lychee and raspberry that adds sweetness and realism. Better late than never, lucky to find it vintage and add the EDT from the same year, a true idyll.
The entire Idylle collection is fantastic! Clean and long-lasting florals. I love the blend of lilac with musk; it is exquisite and leaves a wonderful trail without being overwhelming.
A beautiful bouquet of florals where the lychee note adds a lovely sweetness, leaving a very feminine trail.
I used it years ago and it went unnoticed; I finished the bottle and never touched it again. This morning I tested it once more and fell in love. It is exactly what I am looking for now: clean, long-lasting, very floral yet with a sexy touch that I adore. Very versatile and the dry-down is wonderful. I will buy it again.
An explosion of floral notes full of charm and elegance! In my opinion, it is for a mature woman, nothing youthful or overly sweet, but rather a classy floral and fruity scent. If you wear it to work, no one will go unnoticed.
A classic, clean floral with a rose that doesn’t give you a headache. On my skin, it dries down to a musky scent and resembles Narcisse For Her EDP, but it is more floral, more sparkling and simply better.
It is true that it smells like Narcisse from 2009, but beware: to give a proper opinion, you must wear it, not just test it. Idylle is another level, unique and deep. It wasn’t love at first sight; I found it melancholic and wintry, but over time I realised it is more than that. It even deceived me with the raspberry note, which I hate! Great Guerlain.
