Attraction One Intense by Avon

It’s a softer dupe of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid and works brilliantly. I applied it an hour ago and it projects heavily; we’ll see how it evolves throughout the day… Edit after months: when dry it reminds me of Black Orchid but upon opening it smells like the freshness of Natura’s Ishpink which I also adore. I’ve never liked unisex perfumes as they always sounded too masculine to me. This is the first one I’ve truly enjoyed; it smells delicious and lasts a long time. I recommend it for night dates or going to the club.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Already on my second bottle. A friend and Avon consultant gifted me a sample, and I loved it at first sniff. I adore unisex scents that are woody, spicy, and earthy. Upon application, you catch cardamom, pepper, and coffee; the vanilla adds a soft sweetness without being cloying. It’s 100% for men, though seeing women wear it is rare, as it doesn’t suit everyone’s taste. It has a masculine opening but isn’t overpowering; it’s warm and provides comfort in autumn and winter. Its drawback is longevity: on skin, it lasts 3-4 hours, but on clothes until you wash them. I experienced this myself. I’ll try the citrus version and hope it pleases me as much as the Intense. There’s a vague resemblance to Ekos Alma de Natura, though Ekos is sharper and more masculine. I already own Ekos and love it. I recommend this 100% to women who enjoy masculine, warm, and spicy scents. The price is negligible, so feel free to reapply. In short, I’m fascinated by this perfume.

It’s marked as EDP but on my skin it fades to skin scent in an hour or less. Total longevity is about 5 hours in my case. The aroma isn’t novel but it’s totally wearable for cold daytime climates; I find it lacks the punch for the night except for a date in a closed venue. It radiates a certain spicy warmth without a definitive masculine tone nor is it excessively sweet nor does it lean feminine. 50ml bottle at the unbeatable price Avon is used to. Is it worth it? Yes for the price rather than for a standout aroma; I fear there are many fragrances with this same vibe. It simply fulfils its objective as an affordable perfume without standing out beyond that. For this vibe but more nocturnal and intense I recommend even more Avon’s Segno.

Very exquisite aphrodisiac and magnetic. I love warm and spicy aromas; I know it has a slightly masculine touch but it’s very exquisite. It’s a scent that covers me and makes me feel secure. I detect notes of black pepper sandalwood coffee and bergamot. It’s ideal for both men and women; I loved it it’s exactly what I was looking for: an autumnal and very long-lasting perfume. For those who enjoy spicy and long-lasting scents I recommend it 100%. It’s not an expensive perfume and stands up to many retail brand fragrances.

I tried it alongside Attraction One Fresh and honestly both are to my taste. The Intense is a bit strong at first as if it wants to make itself noticed; you can immediately perceive the spice and feel some light sweet and citrus notes (which to my relief haven’t bothered me as I’m not a big fan of citrus as they make me dizzy and in this perfume in particular they haven’t affected me). After a few minutes approx. 30-60 the spice starts to recede the aroma becomes softer and sweeter although the pepper is still felt. The trail diminishes a little although I think it depends on various factors like humidity temperature and activities. Finally the remaining aroma is a subtle blend of spicy sweet woody and floral comfortable to wear. Regarding the unisex aspect I think it fulfils its function quite well. After an hour it feels quite ‘feminine’ as many would say (I can’t quite understand the concept to be honest) but in the rest (projection and dry down) it doesn’t feel like a ‘for him’ or ‘for her’ perfume. If you are non-binary and are looking for a good-priced perfume that delivers on this I suppose trying one of the two would suit you.

I tried a sample today alongside the white version (Attraction One Fresh) and I think this perfume is a purely masculine scent perhaps a bit softer and not as intensely woody although I do detect woods (sandalwood) and the spicy part of saffron and pepper. But I also feel the sweet part of vanilla and tonka bean which softens it which could give it that ‘unisex’ touch if one wants but really I perceive it as very masculine. It’s a sweet masculine fragrance but in my opinion and taste it remains for men. It’s a rich perfume but I being a woman really wouldn’t wear it although currently the barrier between ‘feminine’ and ‘masculine’ is blurring I don’t feel it’s a scent I could wear or identify with. Perhaps my taste points much more towards well-feminine fragrances leaving no doubt that they are for women. Of course everyone can use what they like; it doesn’t mean a woman can’t use masculine aromas or a man feminine ones but for me I don’t like it. Perhaps on a man’s skin it would smell quite rich although very sweet. In short it’s a lovely perfume that I think will appeal greatly to men who like warm and spicy scents something piquant and sweet.

An olfactory gem that stands toe-to-toe with One Fresh. Give it a try, then another, and soon you’ll be hooked. I’d repurchase it without hesitation.
