I’m writing this to defend it after reading the previous review. Yes, it starts with floral notes of orange blossom and white flowers, but it’s not unbearable for a man, what a fuss! It’s simply a lovely floral scent. I don’t understand the rejection of florals or unisex fragrances; it seems to be an issue of insecurity. The floral phase lasts 15-20 minutes before the patchouli emerges: earthy, damp, and semi-sweet wood. From there, the transformation justifies a higher price tag: a comforting dry-down similar to Rich Warm Adictive, featuring honeyed tobacco, warm spices, and bitter black vanilla. The finish is unisex; on my skin, it reads as masculine. I asked several women and none said it smelled feminine, though it depends on how it evolves on your skin and attitude. It reminds me of Bvlgari Man in Black and Mugler Pure Havane. It lasts around 8 hours with generous application, projects well for the first 4 hours, then becomes a perfect personal bubble for the price. Ideal for autumn and winter, avoid wearing it in heat, more suitable for evening than daytime, ranging from casual to formal. It’s not cloying, but it does carry a heavy load of patchouli and spices.

I’m turning that previous criticism on its head: yes, it begins with floral notes of orange blossom and whites, but a man can perfectly enjoy it, what nonsense! It’s just a floral scent, who cares! I don’t understand the fear of florals or unisex fragrances; surely it’s a matter of insecurity. The floral aspect lasts 15-20 minutes before the patchouli comes through, that damp, earthy, wet wood touch. From then on, the fragrance transforms and smells like something far more expensive: a cosy dry-down akin to Rich Warm Adictive, with honeyed tobacco, warm spices, and bitter black vanilla. On my skin it’s masculine; I asked several women and none said it was feminine. It recalls Bvlgari Man in Black and Mugler Pure Havane. It sticks for about 8 hours if you apply generously, projects strongly for the first 4 hours, then leaves a personal bubble ideal for close conversation. Best for autumn and winter, avoid heat, more of an evening scent, suitable for casual to formal occasions. It’s not cloying, but it is quite loaded with patchouli and spices.

I picked it up blind looking for an autumn/winter scent and the initial notes seemed very masculine to me, although the Zara website is missing some details. It starts with neroli and nutmeg, then moves to woods with narcissus flower, and finishes with patchouli and vanilla: total letdown, it smells like an old lady. I had to gift it to my mother and she loved it.

I bought it blind seeking something for autumn/winter; the initial notes seemed very masculine, though there are more details not listed on the Zara website. It opens with neroli and nutmeg, has a heart of woods with narcissus flower, and dries down to patchouli with vanilla. Total disaster, it smells like an old lady, so I had to gift it to my mother and she absolutely loved it.
