Annick Menardo knows how to give cinnamon and vanilla a brilliant twist, something she would later repeat successfully in Dsquared2’s Potion. This Man of Today is nothing more than the classic Hugo Boss Bottled, just in a dark, opaque bottle. Basically, it’s cinnamon, apple, and vanilla: very sweet and fruity at first, then spiced as it dries down. It’s a curious fragrance that smells good even in its current slightly watery version, which doesn’t last long. It lasts about 6-7 hours, but the trail fades within the first hour, staying close to the skin. Sometimes it’s a bit cloying and I’m not a huge fan, but at least it smells like something, which isn’t the case with many others. Not bad.
