Me and cherry just don’t get along… that’s a fact. This cherry is more pleasant to my nose, yes, because although it still smells (like all cherry scents) of burnt sugar or classic caramel, that synthetic, artificial smell alien to real fruit. Here it smells darker, with woods and leather, and that drydown interests me more than in other cherry perfumes. Still, this isn’t for me.
This smells of cherry, honey and oud in equal measure, all bottled up. Clearly, no great engineering went into its creation, because when you smell it, the oud and cherry explode together (each is distinctly noticeable) with a rose that blends between them, adding a creamy/light touch to a perfume that is very dense and dark. Top quality and everything you could want, but it’s not worth the price. If you like this style or are an oud fan, you’ll be hooked. Not for summer.
This is putting caramelised cherry and almost equal parts of oud in a bottle. They clearly haven’t bothered to create it, because when you smell it, both come out all at once (clearly noticeable separately) and a rose that melts between them, adding creaminess and lightness to a very heavy and dark perfume. Very good quality and everything you could want, but it doesn’t deserve the price. If you like this style or are an oud fan, you’ll find it addictive. Not valid for summer.
Me and cherry simply don’t get along, period. This one does smell better than others; although it still carries that classic bitter-caramel note so synthetic and alien to real fruit, here the dry-down is darker, with wood and leather. I prefer this dry-down compared to the others, but ultimately, it’s not for me.
It grabs and lasts, but in heat or rain it becomes a right mess; the cherry and leather blend until they become annoying, so although it’s unisex, it suits girls more.
It lasts quite a while, but nothing recommended for heat or rain because it accentuates the essence too much and can become annoying, even to those who find it excessive. Although it could be unisex, if it lasts longer, the combination of cherry and leather dominating the cherry could make it more feminine.
Extremely feminine to my taste. The cherry and oud sound good and it’s one of my favourite accords, but the fragrance is very floral and the rose is the protagonist, even more so than the cherry which comes across very softly and in the background. The oud is also very subdued by other notes. In short, it’s a floral fragrance.

Honestly, I expected more for a price of nearly $600. It opens with a juicy, sweet cherry, then comes an usable oud with a touch of leather. If it cost half as much, it would be a bargain, but at that price there are better things around, although Guerlain is my favourite designer house.

I’m testing it alongside Cherry Smoke, one on each wrist as they share notes and price. Here it does smell of cherry at first, but the oud and leather are so strong that in the drydown everything else gets lost and, for me, it becomes more masculine. On the other, the cherry is more noticeable and the smoky wood makes it more interesting. That said, the longevity and trail are potent.
