I believe it’s one of the longest-lasting scents from the brand. I like it for daytime wear in summer; the woody note makes it stand out and combined with the citrus it’s delicious. Both men and women can wear it. It’s not a super-scent, but when I use it I have no complaints: it lasts all day on my skin.
To be honest, this CK One Summer edition was a real treat; I must confess it was the first in the line I owned. A friend gifted it to me on my birthday and I loved it. I never saw it again because Calvin Klein reformulates and creates new scents for the collection, distinguishing them only by the year. It’s definitely one of my favourite summer perfumes, ideal for daytime. The longevity is about six hours with a moderate to soft sillage.
This was the first summer edition I tried and I adored that minty sweetness. Since then, I’ve collected all the CK One Summer releases, but unfortunately I can’t find the three previous editions.
This perfume had no flaws: youthful, vibrant and utterly cheerful. It ran out in 2008 and I haven’t been able to find it since. It opens fruity and ozonic with watermelon and citrus, then moves to floral ginger and, best of all, guaiac wood with vetiver and vanilla. It was truly ahead of its time; today people talk about LV’s Imagination or Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Intense, but they’re inferior knock-ons without the campaign or CK’s backing. To me, it’s better than the regular CK One, which smells greener and more floral. Here, the watermelon and guaiac take it to another level. I really hope they bring it back.
