Descripción
Dahlia Divin by Givenchy is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by perfumer François Demachy. Its top notes unfold with mirabelle plum, citrus, and pink pepper; the heart reveals sambac jasmine, peach, orange blossom, rose, blackcurrant, apple, and lily of the valley; while the base settles on patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla, white musk, and cedar.

I tried it today and it’s very good. The plum is strong and a bit dark, but then it softens and improves tremendously. I didn’t test it on my skin as I wanted to try several, but I will return. Edit: it has nothing dark about it; this time I only sensed the floral side. It’s very warm; I really like that caramelised opening, I suppose the patchouli influences it, although later the floral part softens too much. I’d buy it just for the opening.
I tried some samples and agree with selene85: the plum is strong at the start, then the white florals take over, with a softer jasmine. It’s a warm, elegant, and cheerful perfume. I recommend it for women over 35.
Very rich; I like it immensely. On my skin, it’s sweet and elegant at the same time, very feminine and lasts twelve hours with a great trail. I recommend it for cooler climates. It suits both young and older people; it’s very versatile. An excellent creation by Givenchy.
A very rich fragrance that I simply love. On my skin, it’s sweet and elegant, super feminine, and lasts twelve hours with excellent projection. Perfect for cooler climates. It suits both young women and mature ladies, making it highly versatile. A wonderful creation by Givenchy.
A delicious and different fragrance from the previous ones. My nose has taken to it well; the plum dominates instantly. Unfortunately, the longevity and trail are weak, but it’s a rich scent ideal for daily wear or at work.
Another Demachy gem for us: plum and jasmine with a sandalwood that elevates the whole trio. It’s a blend that leaves me beaming; in a word: exquisite, I simply adore it 😀
My son brings me samples from the shop, and this one seemed enchanting and enigmatic to me. It’s entirely floral, yet underneath it smells of sandalwood, one of my preferred notes. I need to test it on my skin; at first sniff, I absolutely loved it.
Demachij surprises us again with another beauty. The plum and jasmine stand out, and the rest of the notes fit perfectly, with the sandalwood enhancing that blend. It’s a combination that makes me smile. In short: exquisite, I want it.
It caught me off guard; I was initially doubtful about the plum note, but I ended up loving it. At first, it’s intense, but after 15 minutes it softens, giving way to jasmine and the white florals, which are now my favourites. A lovely perfume.
I put it on and felt fantastic: fresh, feminine, and powerful, with top-tier wood, the perfect balance of white florals, and a fruity touch. It has that retro vibe that makes it stand out among current scents. Highly recommended! It lasts a long time and leaves a decent trail. Anyone who loves vetiver in feminine fragrances will adore this.
I added it to my wishlist last week and fell in love immediately: fresh, feminine, and intense, with woody notes, white florals, and a fruity touch. It has that retro, original vibe that really stands out today. Highly recommended! Long-lasting with moderate sillage. Perfume lovers who enjoy vetiver in feminine scents will adore this.
I love this fragrance; I always saw it but it didn’t catch my attention until I tried the Eau de Toilette and I loved it, in the end I chose the Eau de Parfum as it was winter and it seemed to me, as its name, Divine. It’s my perfume, very elegant, it stays on the skin for a long time, it’s long-lasting and very pleasant to wear. The only thing I notice more and more is that it’s becoming very similar to Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent, I don’t know if I’m imagining it, but it could be because of the jasmine there’s something that makes it very similar. Anyway, I like both a lot, but Divine is softer. This is very well done. Bravo to Givenchy.
It’s a very sober and elegant fragrance. Refined and delicate, its components are well-made; but in my opinion too serious and for an elevated age bracket. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not a perfume I’d die for; in fact, it feels like a fairly generic, floral scent that goes unnoticed.
Sweet and floral. Both on the tester and on skin it smells very good. White flowers are perceived immediately, then the plum, and paying attention you discover the sandalwood and patchouli. It’s a somewhat adult 30+ scent, sober but sweet, watch out. A bit nineties and powdery, so I’d recommend autumn or winter. Longevity is good, 5 hours without issue. The trail varies according to applications; with 3 I think it’s enough, but if you want others to perceive it, 5 surely leaves a trail.
Bravoooooo Givenchy! I am enormously grateful to the brand for releasing a distinctive fragrance amidst so much cotton candy scent. Today I see Dahlia Divin with pride and find myself intoxicated by this aroma, so sober, elegant, sublime and vintage. Its notes are very distinct: at first that delicious plum that invites you to eat it, which is then embraced by a beautiful bouquet of white flowers (what’s most perceived is the jasmine), and it’s there where the elegant sandalwood notes appear with their mystical patchouli air. It’s not a sweet scent; in fact, I feel a dry touch. It’s aimed at sober, elegant women of great personality and confidence, who like to stand out. It has a beautiful vintage and timeless air. For formal use, preferably evening, any time of year. Rating 8/10.
Dahlia Divin is fascinating in its context. It’s not the legendary breakthrough Givenchy promised as ‘the golden aura’, but it’s well-constructed, balanced and assertive under a cloak of false tenderness that guards pride and honour. It’s luminous, elegant and refined, interpreting current organic elegance without overheated sugar or wild aldehydes. It’s a floral oriental with a consistent chypre base. It handles a fresh angle of white flowers combined with a slight acidic sweetness of mirabelle plum, then a creamy transmutation of fresh jasmine where vetiver and sandalwood appear. Finally, patchouli enhances the freshness and concludes with faint residues of white flowers. It doesn’t explode with glucosidic sweetness but controlled acidic fruity notes, with assertive floral chypre bases. If Givenchy didn’t aim too high, it would be one of the best of the decade. It has quality and interesting beauty, though it’s undervalued. Later, in 2015, the Eau de Toilette was released, more fruity and sweet, without losing composure, though with moderate trail and longevity.
I love it. It’s refined and elegant. Good longevity. Not excessively expensive. I think it’s a good perfume for spring, it’s worth it. I give it an 8.
It’s sophisticated, romantic but not tender, meant to be worn close to the skin. It has glamour. It’s a warm oriental. The opening feels acidic, like oranges, then the plum distinguishes itself, followed by white flowers, jasmine and sandalwood. The start is strong but then blends with the skin. It doesn’t last long for an oriental; at eight hours it feels very close to the skin, perhaps that’s the point. Perfect for special nights.
This should be floral-fruity. The plum note dominates, a sweet fruit like in syrup that tends to overshadow the jasmine and other flowers. It’s not unpleasant, but I think it could become overwhelming. Of course, I tried the Eau de Parfum, which is usually more potent.
Let me share my experience: looking for a winter daily scent that felt like me, a perfumer handed me the tester. The opening pleased me; I kept the tester in my bag, and hours later, upon opening it, a rich, cheerful, and distinguished sweet scent emerged. Decided, I bought it. On skin, the opening was nice, the citrus is noticeable with a ‘fresh’ touch. But that freshness vanished quickly, giving way to a very marked oriental side, like a hot infusion. It reminded me of Avon Timeless (nothing alike, but also ‘warm’), which confused me as I’ve never liked that. Minutes later, the spicy, dry notes became more prominent until up close it felt overwhelming. From a distance, in the trail, it seemed sweeter and more harmonious. The middle stage is a mix of likes and dislikes. By the base, the notes that convinced me are barely noticeable. In short, it’s serious, elegant, and refined, unusual, but I don’t feel it’s ‘rich’. It’s not jovial. It suits formal and evening occasions. It’s complex with a marked evolution. I bought it thinking it was for daily wear and wasn’t met with that. It disappointed not because it’s bad, but clearly it’s not for me. My advice: try it on skin and analyse all stages. Not suitable as a gift or for everyone.
On my skin, from the very first moment, sweet vanilla and sandalwood take the lead. It’s an elegant fragrance, nothing for everyday wear. Perfect for winter nights when the breeze makes the trail expand and everyone turns to look at you.
It’s a nice perfume, delicate and elegant. Not very intense, so it suits warmer seasons better. It also doesn’t last long. I would buy it again.
Today I made this great discovery purely by chance and I can say without a doubt that it was love at first sniff. It is definitely on my wish list. It seems so feminine, elegant, and sophisticated without being overwhelming or crushing; it smells like Parisian elegance in autumn. I feel it is so floral yet sweet without being gourmand or oppressive; it is very sensual, but of a sensitive and refined sensuality. The hours I’ve worn it on my wrist since the test, I’ve felt its trail; I’ve worn it for 5 hours hoping to prolong its delicious and delicate aroma for longer. Hoping this moment of intimacy between its scent and skin never ends. I’m hopelessly in love…
I had a lot of samples of this perfume and used them for staying at home. I liked it very much, but I felt it wasn’t my style, too mature for me (if you look at my perfumes you’ll understand why). Finally, I got tired of what I’ve been using and feel ready to make a qualitative leap and become obsessed with oriental fragrances. Definitely this one is on my wish list. The only thing I don’t like much is the bottle, very simple; I hope a limited edition comes out with a more interesting proposal. I think it’s a perfume created to last over time, despite trends, and that in a few decades it will be a vintage jewel.
I love it; it’s sweet with a very good balance between its notes. For me, the fruits, vanilla, and woods smell well together, and the flowers only add a subtle touch. It only resembles its flankers.
I used to love this immensely and bought the original version: sweet, floral, and delicate. Now it’s been reformulated, and even the bottle has changed. I bought it again without realising, and upon spraying, I noticed it doesn’t smell the same. Initially, you catch the plum note, but then it flattens out and says nothing. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I really liked this perfume. I bought it in its first version: sweet, floral, and delicate. Today it has been reformulated, as can be seen on the Givenchy Beauty website, which also changed the bottle. I bought it again without knowing about the change, and upon spraying it, I realised it wasn’t the same scent I remembered and liked. It doesn’t smell like anything in particular; at first, you detect plum, but then it settles into a flat scent that says nothing. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Dahlia Divin is a distinguished perfume of extraordinary quality and dimension, sophisticated, feminine, addictive, with powerful accords, predominantly fruity, ambered, and balsamic. It has a great trail and longevity, and its multi-layered evolution becomes increasingly intoxicating. It attracts unconsciously, and that enveloping, musky trail, a hallmark of the Givenchy house, persists for days. I consider it perfect for autumn and winter due to its warmth, and appropriate for festive events as it is classic, distinguished, and always praised. Regarding the product, the price-quality ratio seems fair. Dahlia Divin deserves a place in any collection; I love it. Who will like it: amber lovers.
I really like this perfume. At first, I smell a lot of peach combined with white flowers, then it settles on the skin, becoming slightly more woody. I find it very delicate and feminine. I wish it lasted longer and was more potent, but lately I haven’t been feeling very potent perfumes, so perhaps it’s my skin and my sense of smell.
This perfume is a beauty: elegant, sophisticated, feminine, it has everything I look for in a fragrance, sweetness, trail, and longevity. Despite being very feminine, it works wonderfully on men; I tried it on my husband and we are both fascinated. The quality is magnificent for the price, something hard to find these days. What I perceive most is that sweet, velvety scent of peach with jasmine, vanilla, and woods; they don’t declare it, but I detect amber and a hint of caramel. It’s very elegant, ideal for autumn, winter, and fresh spring evenings.
What a beautiful perfume. It radiates sophistication. It’s very feminine and has a strong presence, without being heavy or cloying. Ideal for complementing a determined character without needing to overwhelm.
What a beautiful perfume. It radiates sophistication. It’s very feminine and has a strong presence, yet it’s not heavy or cloying. Perfect to accompany a decisive character without being overpowering.
I’m usually more of a sweet scent person, but I was looking for an elegant white floral and always ended up with neroli, neroli, neroli, which gives me a headache. This one smells sweet, fruity, and floral, even cheerful. I bought it and today I think that when I finish it, I’ll buy it again. Very delicious.
