This fragrance is one of the toughest and most complex I’ve ever tried. The opening is green almond, very green and bitter, just like biting into an unripe almond or tasting one of those sour ones. That sensation lasts at least half an hour, which is why I apply it 20 minutes before heading out; otherwise, it’s too much. Once that time has passed, the sweeter notes emerge, thanks to the blackcurrant and sandalwood, especially the latter. The blackcurrant adds a touch of acidity but it’s fleeting. At that point, until the very end, the almonds remind me of Pegasus by Parfums di Marly or Craze by Armaf. Once you get used to it, it becomes highly addictive, at least for me. Longevity is eternal, projection is brutal for the first two hours, then it settles close to the skin after 8–9 hours. Advice: don’t overapply with the sprays. Said and done. Don’t buy it blindly. I’m being clear about this perfume. But do try it; you have to. Best wishes, fellow fragrance enthusiasts.
