After using almost half a bottle, I’ll repeat what I said in the reel: according to the house, the bottle with its gradient evokes the warm light of dawn, the opportunity to change every day. It’s luminous, sensual, and the happiest of the Idole saga. Although it only declares three notes, I perceive a juicy tropical fruit, like passion fruit or lychee, very acidic and fruity at the start, even citrusy despite no fruits being declared. The evolution is linear and energising, though it loses intensity when dried, leaving the vanilla-scented rose as the protagonist. It’s the one that lasts the longest in the entire saga, between 7-8 hours, and is very flattering, which is rare these days. It gives off a great vibe and at the end (on clothes, even days later) it reminds me of fragrances like Zara’s Red Temptation Summer (fresher than the original) or Solo Ella EdT; they aren’t clones, just to give you an idea, but someone asked me if I was wearing the Zara one. I’ve loved it for spring-summer, though I think it might get tiring. I’ll enjoy it a lot, but I’m not sure if I’d repeat it.

After trying it, I felt a brutal disappointment. It smells like the first Idole, but without patchouli or jasmine. It has a faint touch of orchid and vanilla when dried. Otherwise, it’s identical; it smells great but is very similar to the original, just a little fresher. I’m sticking with Idole Nectar, which is my favourite.

  • MONSERRAT MX

I’ve never tried the Idole line before, and to be honest, I don’t usually wear roses, but this perfume broke my routine. The evolution was exquisite: a potent, fresh rose opening that later blends with flowers and vanilla. It dries down to a dry, musky vanilla with a slight freshness. The longevity on my skin was over 8 hours without reapplying. It’s the second fragrance to take me out of my comfort zone; the first was Santal 33 (I’m 100% vanilla and zero floral).

  • In this version, the rose remains the protagonist, but more vanilla and creamy than in the original… and less fresh, sparkling, and powdery. Now, while it is a less classic rose, you must like that note to like the perfume. If you’re looking for a sweeter, playful rose, there are more youthful options in this line. I believe this perfume is halfway between the original and Nectar, and personally I would stick with the latter, which is much more gourmand and distinctive. Longevity of 5-6 hours with average projection, similar to the rest. In summary: a somewhat redundant launch. It doesn’t stray far enough from the original to justify owning both, and if you’re looking for something youthful, I’d go for Nectar. All in all, it’s not a bad perfume, but it adds little to the line and isn’t worth it.

On my skin, the rose stands out greatly: big, mature, dark-hued, with fleshy petals and a vanilla base. I also detect undisclosed citrus notes. I perceived it around me for about 3 hours, without sniffing my forearm, but after showering, yes. In my opinion, it’s the one that stands out most of the two I tried before: Idole and Nectar. It’s nothing new, but just for its longevity (until they reformulate it), I would get it. At least a 30ml bottle.

  • The favourite of the Idole line, super feminine with great projection; people always comment on it when I wear it.

  • I had expectations, but it’s practically the same as the first in the Idole line. On my skin, I hardly notice any difference. I do think it’s a bit sweeter and less fresh. Another one from the line that doesn’t convince me.

  • April_ethereal

I tried it in-store and the scent and longevity are spectacular. I fell in love; I just want to buy it.

  • I had expectations, but it is practically identical to the first in the Idole line. On my skin, I barely notice a difference. It does seem a bit sweeter and less fresh. It’s another in the line that doesn’t convince me.

  • In my case, the scents are inverted: an opening of orchid and vanilla, then the rose appears as in the original, and the base is orchid fused with rose without vanilla. It is true that at some point it feels like having the first Idole. Is it worth it? The opening and first moments are beautiful… It leaves a base that seems more stately. I find it more different than the other flankers. (I recommend testing it on skin to see how it evolves. Not a blind buy).

  • Let’s be honest, it is very similar to the classic Idole. But the one who warns doesn’t betray. And yes, its name is Idole Now, so expecting great similarity is logical. When is this version better? When you need a strong, intense rose. If you like feminine and sensual fragrances without spices, this is for you. If the classic doesn’t suit you, try this version; I think it has more personality. Classic Idole for the day and Idole Now for the night is a good combination.

  • It must be said, at first it smells very much like the regular Idole, but once it dries down, the difference becomes apparent. It’s a young, fresh rose with orchids, though more subdued. The good thing is it’s not sweet or invasive as one might expect with just three notes, especially the vanilla. I find this Idole flanker more vibrant and fresh, and above all, those very Lancôme roses don’t overwhelm the fragrance.

  • It has to be said, in the opening it’s very similar to the normal Idôle, but when it dries you notice the difference. A young, fresh rose with orchids, though more subdued. That said, it’s not sweet and invasive as I would have expected with just three notes and that final vanilla. I find this flanker of Idôle more vibrant and fresh, and above all, those characteristic Lancôme roses don’t overwhelm the perfume.

I’ve tried the classic Idole, Nectar, and this one I just received, and honestly, I adore it. The notes are appealing with a soft sweetness, nothing cloying. It’s my favourite of all the flankers so far. When someone walks by, they say it smells delicious, and yes, on my skin it smells incredible. I’m keeping this one.

  • Divine and refined, with great presence and longevity. I absolutely love it. Out of all the Idoles I’ve tried, this one garners the most compliments. No matter where I am or who I’m talking to, people always ask about my perfume. It smells very similar to the original, but with a sweeter, vanilla note that is utterly addictive.

  • Divine, refined, with presence and very long-lasting. I love it. Of all the Idoles I’ve tried, this is the one that gets the most compliments. No matter where or who it is, someone always asks about your perfume. It’s quite similar to the original, but with a sweeter, vanilla touch that is addictive to me.

Idôle Now is a fruity, floral and vanilla fragrance. It has a fresh and fruity opening, similar to peach, combined with the DNA of the Idôle line, maintaining that rose and musk accord of the original. Like its mother, it’s for daily and daytime use, but with the vanilla it gains versatility for spring and summer evenings. Its longevity is very good, around 10 hours, with a noticeable olfactory trail for the first two hours. It’s pleasant and I think it will please women of all ages, although more the younger ones. My preference remains the original, although I’d like to try the Eau de Toilette version.

Idole Now is fruity, floral, and vanilla-scented. Fresh and fruity opening, with a peach smell mixed with the Idole line DNA; that rose and musk accord from the original is maintained. Like its mother, it’s for daily and daytime use, but by adding vanilla it gains versatility and also works for spring and summer evenings. Longevity is very good, around 10 hours, with a noticeable trail for the first 2 hours. It’s pleasant and I think it will appeal to women of all ages, though more to the younger ones. My preference remains the original, although I’d like to smell the Eau de Toilette version.

  • I bought it blind and I loved it. It’s sweet but not cloying. You can feel the vanilla quite a bit with that floral touch that makes it light. In my opinion, it’s versatile for any occasion. I love the trail; it’s very good, but be careful, if you don’t like strong perfumes, there might be conflict. I adore people noticing my perfume, so I was delighted. I don’t know if it’s because of the vanilla, but men love it. Lancôme never fails.

  • Lagioianena91

What a perfume! For me, it has a tropical opening and then settles into something elegant yet youthful where you can notice the rose, the vanilla afterwards and those sparks of orchid. There’s no disappointment here; it’s exactly what it promises.

  • Maria Del Carmen Salich

I bought it excited and the truth is it doesn’t have the same projection on my skin as the first one I already owned. I think it’s perfect for everyday wear.

  • I tried this perfume recently; it’s pretty but came across as identical to the original Idôle, only with better longevity and projection; it lasted several hours on my skin, unlike the original which fades in an hour. It’s pretty, but I still prefer Idôle Nectar because, although they’re similar, the other one seems prettier and sweeter to me.

  • To me, Idôle Now is like a discounted Idôle Néctar, without those popcorn notes. It’s less sweet, juicy and addictive, with vanilla taking the lead from the start. The opening is rich and reminiscent of the first Idôle, but that blend of orchid and vanilla feels harsh and metallic on my skin throughout the dry-down, which I dislike. As I’m not a vanilla fan, I can’t enjoy it. I prefer the original, my favourite, or the Néctar if you’re looking for more sweetness and depth.

  • charlotinable

Oh my goodness… I didn’t expect much and ended up with my mouth open. It smells spectacular, elegant and sumptuous, very delicate and delicious. It retains a bit of the DNA of the first Idôle but leans closer to its older sister, Tresor la Nuit, just with less potency and sweetness. If only three notes achieved this perfect alchemy: rose, orchid and vanilla, it was a divine blend. I detect a touch of musk and a hint of citrus. I’ve liked it quite a bit, similar to Idôle Néctar.

  • veronica.pgd

Not for me, although I like vanilla and roses separately; together they clash. However, it doesn’t smell like grandma’s perfume; it’s youthful, sweet and warm without being suffocating. It’s bright and innocent, ideal for anyone seeking that light feminine energy or wanting to leave a sweet impression. Apply it to your neck and anyone who hugs you will stare at you. It’s another in Lancôme’s list of floral-vanilla scents, neither better nor worse than the original Idôle, which I prefer for being fresher. It conveys a pleasant, calm and optimistic person, like Barbie from the old movies, which isn’t my style and makes me feel out of place, but the perfume is top-notch, like the rest of the brand.

  • Rociopucheta

It’s incredible; it’s my favourite of the Idole range. I was looking for the Nectar which I love, but I tried this and became hooked. I got home and while the Nectar disappeared after three hours, this lasted over nine. I tried it again and decided on it because of how addictive it is. At first, you notice those super-sweet roses, not powdery at all, and I don’t sense the orchid much; it’s a sweetened rose with an incredible vanilla. It’s not a complicated fragrance, but it feels super addictive and youthful. It projects a lot and lasts long on skin. I don’t recommend buying blindly; it’s one of those fragrances you either love or hate. I adore it.

  • Perfumadict

The typical Idole rose, but in this version it dries down to a powdery, dry scent on the skin.

  • Elenperfume

It was my summer favourite for several years. It’s vanilla-infused but a little ‘watery’ with the rose note, making it perfect for super hot days. I must say that some people didn’t like it or found it metallic.

  • Omg, I’m in love with this fragrance. I bought the Idole EDP as my first Idole and came with samples, including this Idole Now, and I’ve loved it. On my skin, they are elegant roses, very vanilla-infused and exquisite. I adore it; the vanilla is very noticeable. Without a doubt, the EDP, Nectar and Now have fascinated me.

  • I absolutely adore it. Sadly, Idole Now causes nasal congestion for me. What a pity for this gem. I recall that in the 2000s the Oui from this house did the same to me.

  • A delight of rose and vanilla. It’s elegant and sweet, yet not cloying. I’ve been complimented greatly and the longevity is good. I love it especially on cold days.

  • MelinaCereza

I hate the rose note, but this fragrance has won me over with time. It makes me feel super feminine and romantic. Although the rose is present, the powdery vanilla gives it an incredible creaminess. It attracts lots of compliments from men. A ten out of ten for daily wear in spring; I used half a bottle in a month and always choose it.

  • Sounds very elegant, but in my case I only smell the rose and it reminds me of old-fashioned ladies’ perfumes. It’s not bad, but it just doesn’t quite take my fancy.

  • Very elegant; the rose is executed perfectly and blends beautifully with the orchid and vanilla. It projects luxuriously and lasts around eight hours on my skin. I love it.
