As soon as I sprayed it, it smelled of rose, blackcurrant and creamy sandalwood. Once it dried on my skin, the rose and patchouli took centre stage, with the blackcurrant and sandalwood lingering in the background; I didn’t really notice the iris. Compared to the original Irresistible, this flanker has a more intense rose and a fruitier touch.

  • I walked into the perfumery with a list, but a sales assistant stopped me at the door and let me try this perfume. At first, I didn’t pay attention; I thought ‘I haven’t noted this down, I don’t want it’, but out of politeness I smelled it and… it changed all my plans. I tried the others but I couldn’t get this one out of my head. Finally, I sprayed it on my skin, walked around to see how it sat, and I was clear it was what I was looking for. I’m prone to getting dizzy with perfumes and was searching for something clean, soft, smelling like day cream… and I was lucky to find it. It’s true that its longevity isn’t extreme, nor is its projection, but that’s precisely what I like most. It seems like my natural body scent all along. A CRUSH!

  • An ultra-feminine perfume of powdery rose and contemporary. It’s very coquettish even refreshing. The rose predominates, nuanced by blackcurrant and powdery by that iris, with delicate woody notes. Despite declaring the same notes as the original Irresistible, they don’t smell the same. Rose Velvet is more youthful and bears no resemblance to the LV Keep the Dream I currently use; the latter is a more mature rose and I’d dare to say with violets.

  • Smells like rose shampoo, boring and nothing to write home about. It smells clean and fresh, nice but forgettable!!!

  • I walked into the perfumery with a list, but a sales assistant stopped me to try this one. At first, I thought I didn’t want it, but out of politeness I gave it a sniff and my plans changed. I tried the others, but this one wouldn’t leave my mind. I sprayed it on, walked around and knew it was what I was looking for. I get dizzy easily with perfumes and was searching for something clean and soft, like a day moisturiser… and I found it. The longevity and projection aren’t extreme, but that’s exactly what I love; it smells like my usual natural scent. A real hit!

  • A bouquet of roses bathed in blackcurrant syrup with honey, that’s how I perceive this perfume. It’s rich from head to toe, and its sillage and longevity on my skin are brutal; I love it ✨.

This perfume is delightful for those who don’t tolerate rose because it causes fatigue; I must say it has a lot of rose, it’s rose upon rose, but it’s so well blended that it doesn’t bother. You can smell the blackcurrant and a touch of powdery note from the iris like a hint of makeup. I bought it blind and I’m very happy. The patchouli note isn’t prominent; everything is very well crafted and the bottle is absolutely beautiful; the photos don’t do it justice; it’s a beautiful pearlescent rose that looks like mother-of-pearl. Good longevity and sillage, I think anyone would like it. Compared to the other Irresistibles, this is my favourite. I love it; if you have this, you don’t need another Irresistible. OMG, what a beauty! This is, in my humble opinion.

  • I’ve just tried it and I can’t detect the rose; I sense an undeclared neroli, which is very strange 😅. I had high hopes for the blackcurrants, but I only smell them in the opening; afterwards, it dries down very powdery and that undeclared neroli comes through, which isn’t my style. I recommend trying it before buying 😊.

  • An unlisted citrus opening followed by blackcurrants, rose, and iris. It feels juicy and slightly powdery. The base is a very subtle woody note that provides support. It reminds me of the original Irresistible but more powdery with a hint of red fruit, perhaps making it more interesting. The iris note recalls My Way Intense, although this Irresistible is lighter. Soft sillage and 4 hours of longevity. It’s simple, nothing groundbreaking, somewhat generic but pleasant. Youthful and cheerful despite the rose and talc-like touch. Suitable for medical settings or small offices. I might use it for a short outing in spring if gifted, but I wouldn’t choose to buy it. Scent 7/10, Longevity 4/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 4.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? I didn’t purchase it.

I was gifted a sample when I bought the Irresistible EDP, and yes, I liked it. Rose Velvet bears little resemblance to the ‘mother’ of the line. It doesn’t live up to its name; I expected a notable rose, but that’s not what it offers. The rose is there, but what stands out most to me is the iris with patchouli; it’s a scent of roses and iris wrapped in patchouli. I’ll stick with the Irresistible EDP; I wouldn’t buy this one. It’s too sweet, perhaps better suited for autumn and winter.

  • MarinaEtoile

A romantic perfume, similar to the Irresistible but more powdery and creamy. What amazes me most is its longevity on my skin, lasting around 8 hours with moderate to intense sillage. It’s a compliment generator and very feminine. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.

It’s romantic, very similar to Irresistible but more powdery and creamy. What surprises me most is its longevity on my skin, around eight hours with moderate to intense sillage. Plus, it generates compliments and is very feminine. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.

  • florenciaviale

Savory blackcurrants and clean notes from the iris; the rose is strong at first but then recedes to support them. If you’re looking to smell like you’ve just stepped out of the shower, this is for you! It’s intimate and discreet. As it dries down, a subtle patchouli with woods keeps a juicy, fruity richness that stays close to the skin. Lasts around 4 hours. EDIT: As with the original EDP, it mellowed over time and now lasts all day; the rose is more prominent but remains delicate. I absolutely love it 🫶🏻, though not quite as much as the original, which is my signature scent.

  • Spectacular. It’s feminine, creamy, elegant and has a touch of talc; a very well-crafted rose. It’s versatile and doesn’t bother anyone. I bought it blind and it was a total success.

  • Simply spectacular. It’s feminine, creamy, elegant, slightly powdery… a very well-crafted rose. It’s versatile and smells good without annoying anyone. I bought it blindly and it was a total success!!!!!

  • A delightful surprise, I think it’s the best in the line. To me, it opens sparkling and slightly citrusy, as if it had pink pepper, quickly moving to a heart of red fruits with the florals. In the middle phase, on my skin, the iris stands out more than the rose: creamy, almost edible. As it dries, I notice more rose, fresh and talcum-like, but without falling into the classic. It smells sweet throughout its evolution but very wearable. At the end it blends with subtle woods and musk, giving it a clean and delicate touch, without being soapy. I barely notice the patchouli. It’s not novel but very pleasant. I see it as feminine, daytime (even for summer) and I think it could suit almost any age, although perhaps not a very young audience. On my skin it lasts about 5-6 hours with moderate to soft projection and sillage. It could be better in that regard, but thanks to that I see it as super versatile for everyday wear. I wouldn’t buy it but I know I could enjoy it occasionally.

  • It smells delicious, but I’m not sure if it won’t be too much for everyday life. On my skin it’s intense: a creamy, sweet but serious rose, nothing fresh or youthful, with powdery notes. It’s soft and doesn’t invade. I feel like those perfumes that smell amazing on someone but you don’t know what they are because they aren’t common. We’ll see if I wear it daily; its sillage is super subtle. The iris is very noticeable, giving a clean scent, until on the skin you smell like you’ve just had a shower all day. The blackcurrants are noticeable at first, but afterwards it’s the rose and some androgynous notes. It reminds me a lot of Anais from Cacharel, they share notes, but this Givenchy one is lighter and cleaner. We’ll see if I keep it as my signature. It’s a perfume you either love or hate, try it first.

It’s my favourite of the whole line. I’ve thought many times about buying it, but why didn’t I? I go, try it, take a walk… and it disappears from my skin 🤔.

  • It clicked with me the first time I tried it; it’s one of my favourites. To me, it smells like a bouquet of freshly cut roses, bathed in dew and velvet-soft.

It clicked for me the first time I tried it and it’s now one of my favourites. To me, it smells like a bouquet of freshly cut roses, bathed in dew and velvet.

  • I ordered a sample without much hope as I hadn’t liked the Irresistible before, but this one is beautiful. Such a romantic and delicate scent, slightly powdery. I wouldn’t wear it daily, but yes for romantic outings. It feels intimate if someone gets close.

  • The opening doesn’t agree with me. It gives me the same reaction as the Irresistible and My Way, just to a lesser extent; it doesn’t make me nauseous but smells odd for a few seconds. Then there’s a strong woody note, like cedar, and the dry-down is delicious, it obsesses me. It’s floral and not sweet, adult and serious. It has good sillage and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. The dry-down blends the notes well, except for the blackcurrants which I barely notice. I wouldn’t wear it every day, but to feel special from time to time, I love it haha. Don’t recommend buying blindly!

  • Belenperfumada

A sample arrived and left me speechless; I’m not a rose fan, but here it’s so well combined that it caught me at first sniff. I added it to my wishlist. It seems delicate yet sensual, very balanced: just the right amount of sweetness, fresh but embracing. The dry-down is powdery, elegant and sensual. It gives off a spring vibe, ideal for summer afternoons or evenings, and I think it works well in autumn and winter too. I loved it! Givenchy is back on the rose and I adore it.

  • Belenperfumada

I received a sample and was left speechless. I’m not usually a rose fan, but here it’s blended so well that it hooked me at first sniff. I’ve already added it to my wishlist. It felt delicate yet sensual, very balanced, neither overdoing it nor falling short. Just the right amount of sweetness, fresh yet embracing. The dry-down is slightly powdery, sensual and elegant. It gives off a spring vibe or is ideal for summer evenings. I even think it works for autumn and winter. I love it! Givenchy has enchanted me with the rose once again.

  • Similar to the original but with more rose and a creamier finish. Reminds me of the GG Blush but fruitier. The dry-down sits closer to the skin than the original Irresistible but is very wearable. I’ll stick with the EDP original. Both are gorgeous, 10 out of 10.

People compliment me constantly. It smells of roses but in a sexy way, nothing cloying. Lasts for hours, it’s super feminine and perfect for a powerful woman.
