Have you worn Kiss My Name?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Classic nardos, perhaps a touch more powdery than in the Fracas or Carolina Herrera, which I find slightly more acidic. They are mature, yet they avoid the banana chewing gum note that plagues Mancera’s Velvet Vanilla, presumably because there’s no fruit here. Top quality, but little originality. Their hallmark is that typical Monegal vintage touch: you either love it or hate it, no middle ground. I wouldn’t buy it at the price, as there are similar options with a more interesting twist.

Kiss My Name is a wonderful white floral fragrance. At its heart lie tuberose, with a delicate jasmine and a very light touch of iris. Tol balsam and cedar wood give it a balsamic and woody character, with exquisite sweetness. The longevity on my skin is good and the projection is moderate. Ideal for everyday wear in mild climates or for spring evenings. The downside is that there are simply too many similar perfumes on the market. It’s like a lighter version of the Carolina Herrera, sharing three of its five notes, with the nardos and white florals standing out. It’s easier to wear and lacks that sharp, penetrating green opening. It also reminds me of Paco Rabanne’s Metal, with which it shares four notes, but without those characteristic aldehydes. I don’t see it as unisex, but rather very feminine. It’s an excellent fragrance; I recommend it 100% if you like intense white florals with nard as the star.
