I absolutely love its citrus opening and that licorice note that adds sweetness, reminiscent of Angel but without that cloying sugary finish that turns me off. Although the licorice makes me think of something more common, ultimately it’s just a normal rose. I enjoy the blend of citrus with the sweet, powdery iris. It’s very feminine and, since licorice isn’t common here, it’s a rare scent. It’s like smelling an eccentric cousin of Angel.
Personally, I don’t like licorice, but here the lemon touch makes it fresh. Over time, the sweetness of the vanilla becomes noticeable. It’s an intense fragrance with great longevity, designed for evening wear and for a mature lady.
This is the best of the Petite Robe, neither too sweet nor overwhelmingly sugary. I prefer it without the cherry. The first spray smells of a very strong rose, but it settles quickly with a sweet, non-cloying touch. It lasts about 20 minutes before turning into patchouli and vanilla, which is when I truly love it on my skin. The problem is that it barely lasts two hours; what a pity.
