Have you worn O Oui!?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

    For my taste, a good flanker of Ô. Fresh, soft, feminine… it combines juicy citrus fruits with a sweet touch and soft floral notes with a woody touch. It’s light, with moderate sillage and easy to wear for daytime use, particularly for tropical climates; or from spring to autumn. At the time of its launch, it stood out among the other “aquatics”. If used in non-urban environments or during holidays (as its advertising suggests) it works well, and if used in urban environments too (I place it more in this perspective, for daily use)… I’d say its ideal environment is in warm cities near water (you really think about that when you smell it). When using it, it’s almost certain that many people of all kinds will think “you smell good”. As Shiseido would say, it’s what Hugo Boss wanted to do with Jour Pour Femme but didn’t achieve it hahaha

  2. The best memories with this perfume!! On my skin, the citrus notes stand out at the opening and the cedar wood in the heart and base, I don’t feel it as an aquatic perfume nor for wearing when it’s over 40 degrees. It’s an elegant fragrance, without being haughty, it stays in the olfactory memory of anyone who perceives it because the wood stands out making it very very special, ideal for all kinds of outings: from New Year’s Eve dinners to having coffee with a friend. Too bad I only have a little left and I found out that Lancome discontinued it many years ago. These perfumes should never be allowed to die, for the good of humanity.

    To me, it’s a great flanker for Ô. Fresh, soft, and feminine, blending juicy citrus with a sweet touch and floral woody notes. It’s light, with moderate projection, and perfect for daytime wear, especially in tropical climates or from spring to autumn. When it launched, it stood out among the ‘aquatics’. If you wear it on holiday or in warm cities near the water (which is what makes you think when you smell it), it works brilliantly. People will almost certainly say you smell good. As Shiseido would say, it’s what Hugo Boss tried to do with Jour Pour Femme but failed to achieve, haha.

  4. I remember buying it because I liked the ad with Marie Gillain throwing herself off the cliff holding the hand of the handsome guy, I even liked the song: Everything’s gonna be alright… I’m scared of summer perfumes with too many notes, but this one is very well balanced. Hyacinth, a pear vodka cocktail with citrus, apple, amber, cedar, a lot of musk maybe and some flower I can’t distinguish. It’s a Lancôme, if you like the house, this aquatic summery sweet but green one won’t disappoint you. I liked the old typical Ô de Lancôme bottle better, because I wouldn’t keep it :-{

    The best memories with this perfume. On my skin, the citrus notes shine bright at first, while cedar dominates the heart and base. I don’t find it aquatic or unsuitable for temperatures over 40 degrees. It’s elegant without being arrogant, and it etches itself into the olfactory memory of anyone who smells it, thanks to the wood that makes it unique. Ideal for everything: from New Year’s Eve dinners to coffee with a friend. It’s a pity I only have a small amount left, and I knew Lancôme had discontinued it years ago. These perfumes should never die, for the good of humanity.

    I remember that when I was about 17 I smelled it and I liked it a lot, a lot. I asked my parents for it (I didn’t know my obsession with perfumes yet) but since I had the Anais Anais, they said no. Years later my mum gave me (or rather I used that pretext) the 5th Ave. which I honestly hated, it was very old-fashioned. I’ll go and smell it again, now at 30 I don’t think it suits me. 🙁

  10. Raphael.figue

    The worst perfume I have ever smelt in my life! Given how much I like perfumes, I was given this one and it’s impossible to use it. To me, it smells like a wardrobe with old clothes. What a disappointment, Lancôme, I’ll have to give it away. I’m so sorry I don’t like it; I put it on my wrist and I have to wash it off. I can’t stand it 1′

  11. I first smelled it at 17 and was instantly hooked, begging my parents to buy it for me, but they refused since I already owned Anais Anais. Years later, my mum gifted me the 5th Avenue (using it as an excuse), and to be honest, I hated it: it was so dull. I’ll give it another sniff, but at 30, I don’t think it will suit me anymore. 🙁

  12. The worst perfume I’ve ever smelled in my life. Despite loving perfumes, I was gifted this and it’s impossible to wear. It smells like a wardrobe with old clothes, what a disappointment from Lancôme; I’ll have to gift it. I’m so sorry I don’t like it; I put it on my wrist and have to wash it off, I can’t stand it for even a minute.

    Without a doubt one of my favourite perfumes; unfortunately, it hasn’t been in stores in Uruguay for some time. It would be a shame if they discontinued it. It’s an iconic fragrance from the 2000s; smelling it teleports me back to my teenage years; I’d love to get it again when I’m 30 to see if it still suits me.

    I love this perfume, it had been discontinued, but I found it in a perfume shop somewhere, now in a simple square bottle, without those details of the previous bottle. I love it for summer, very fresh, floral and citrusy. I agree that it lasts very little for the value it has.

  27. To be honest, a letdown. I love the brand, always good quality, especially in trail and longevity. This perfume is terrible; nice, but it lasts less than a splash of Victoria’s Secret. NEVER AGAIN.

    When they applied it, I felt an explosion of fresh roses, but now I see what I identified as roses is actually water hyacinth. It’s a fresh, floral, aquatic perfume. I’ve loved it.
