An extinct fragrance from Tom Ford’s Private Blend. A warm, ambered scent with a perceptible touch of phenols. It is a blend of rose essences (Bulgarian, Moroccan, and Turkish), sandalwood, patchouli, and an oud base. It features aromatic sub-sections that highlight warm notes (cinnamon and osmanthus) and others that are fresh-spicy (cardamom, pepper, and ginger), giving it that air of a classic perfume, more oriented towards a feminine unisex style, as if they were medicinal rose cosmetics with an Eastern tradition.
One of the finest rose and oud blends on the market. Fortunately, it has been discontinued, so its scent isn’t as ubiquitous as its sibling Oud Wood; among Tom Ford’s OUD collection, in my opinion it is the second best (after Oud Minérale). Climate: not in extreme heat. Occasion: casual to formal. Longevity/projection: 8/10.
Yasmin, let’s review the original fragrances rather than the imitations which bear no resemblance whatsoever, be it in scent, longevity, or ingredient quality; however similar they may seem from a distance, up close it makes no sense.
