Top notes of cinnamon and ginger give way to a creamy, slightly lactonic heart of Bourbon vanilla, orris root, butter, tonka bean and Siam benzoin, sitting over a white sandalwood base.
The first impression is spicy and welcoming: cinnamon and ginger sparkle without becoming overpowering. As it settles, Bourbon vanilla emerges, bringing a rich, creamy sweetness that feels both comforting and luxurious.
The heart blends orris root’s delicate, powder-like character with butter and tonka bean, creating a soft, milky texture. Siam benzoin adds a resinous warmth, anchoring the sweeter elements and giving the fragrance a gentle amber glow.

It’s special, even though when I saw the olfactory pyramid I thought: Ugh, another vanilla… But no. Let me tell you, this is not another vanilla. It is a vanilla perfume, yes, but with an opening of ginger and cinnamon, which is a delight. Then comes creamy vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood… but with that ever-present ginger spark that is the charm of this perfume. It’s the one that surprised me the least of the 3 new launches from BDK. Perhaps because I have so many vanilla perfumes in my collection, it would be the last one I’d buy. But I admit I like it a lot. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 8.5/10
