It’s gorgeous, a super feminine iris that smells like lipstick.

Scandal Parfum is one of my favourites; seeing the blackberry and iris notes prompted me to try it. Nothing like my favourite, though; the blackberry opening is potent before softening. It has a moderate-to-heavy trail on my skin—I applied it to my arm and could still smell it through my jumper while working. I just had a sample of La Vie est Belle Elixir and they do blend well, though the fruity note in LVEB felt sweeter and juicier, whereas this Scandal is more earthy. So far it hasn’t gone crazy on me, but I’ll give it time. It’s intense and, for now, I see it as suitable for cold weather rather than everyday wear, as I think it would overwhelm me.

What a delightful scent, it’s a caramel blast of iris and violets. I’ve loved it.

I didn’t like it. I recognise the quality and know it will have its following, but it’s not for everyone. If they removed the blackberry note, it would be closer to what it actually smells like: patchouli, iris and amber. They tried to imitate blackberry but failed to capture it. The scent is earthy. Dark perfume lovers will adore it. This isn’t a novelty; I’ve heard it before, even at a lower price point: Sofía de Sofía Vergara, Rihanna Rebl Fleur Love Always and I Want Choo Le Parfum by Jimmy Choo.
