  1. It’s an ambiguous fragrance: it sounds masculine to some women and feminine to men. For me, that citrus sweetness with floral and fruity notes leans more towards feminine. Also, I detect a green tea note and would love to add that.

  2. I bought it because the website said it was for women, but I’ll have to research further. Upon arrival, it felt more masculine. I like unisex scents, but I wouldn’t wear this; it feels too masculine. It smells lovely, a fresh, clean citrus aroma. When I entered the purchase website, it indicated it was for men.

  3. To be honest, I don’t like the opening at all; it smells like floor cleaner after Enedina. It settles a bit, but I never thought a citrus would repel me, and that’s what happens with this one. If it projects well, I only smell lemon detergent.

  4. The truth is, I don’t like it at all. The opening smells like floor cleaner. After Enedina, it settles, but I never thought a citrus would repel me, and that’s what happens with this one. It does project well, but the only thing I smell is lemon detergent.

In the citrus family, there’s a category I believe is the least loved: aromatic spiced citrus. Unlike Mediterranean ones, this incorporates flowers and can result in a synthetic, aggressive scent (hence why many smell like detergents), but there are well-executed fragrances like Bond No. 9’s Eau de New York. I think this 9 AM is also well-made, despite negative comments, though it does have that synthetic effect. It’s unisex with good performance (like all in the 9 Afton family). It should never be the first choice for those seeking this type of fragrance, but if you don’t have the $150 for Eau de New York, this is a very good option without being a dupe. I insist, only for lovers of aromatic spiced citrus.

Radiant lemon, sharp bergamot, clean unisex soap… a touch of lavender, orange blossom note, a blend of 4711, English cologne, fine soap… it’s energetic and unisex.

Bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, cardamom, and lavender. It smells like shower gel. I find similarities with Francis Kurkdjian’s Aqua Vitae Forte and it shares notes with Diptyque’s Eau Papier.

  8. Revitalising, lively, fresh and dynamic. It makes you feel with positive energy, cheerful and happy. Wish the day were with that sun at maximum expression to highlight this perfume marvel.

It’s a fresh but unisex scent, leaning more towards masculine. It’s 100% citrus and woody; I don’t like it at all.

  10. Seeing the beast that 9PM was, I assumed 9AM would be the daytime equivalent with more appropriate notes. First off: this fragrance doesn’t compare to 9PM’s performance; it lasts an hour and a half projecting, and by the fourth hour it becomes sticky to the skin like a nail and grime. In the scent, the opening is sweet, citrusy and powdery, with plenty of tangerine and green apple. It reminds me of an apple pie. The dry-down becomes more subdued and that charming citrus aspect reduces considerably, moving more towards lavender. Would I recommend it? No, there are much better citrus perfumes for the day. It’s noticeable that it’s masculine unisex; a woman couldn’t wear it, but at the same time you have to be a somewhat refined and feminine man to wear it. The price is a bargain: 100ml for $40 is brutal. However, it’s a good versatile option for mornings, for going to the office in summer and smelling good; it’s an inoffensive perfume that does its job. 6/10.

  11. It’s a fresh scent but seems like a unisex leaning more towards masculine. It’s totally woody citrus, not my taste at all.

  12. It was one of the first I bought. I did it blindly (and I was wrong because I later found out I wanted the 9PM) and the truth is, it didn’t disappoint. The longevity is optimal, a minimum of 8 hours. The trail is moderate. It’s a super unisex aroma; I recommend it for both. I’d use it in spring/summer in the afternoon (with few sprays). Another time I discovered it smells like a snowball from a carnival and now I can’t stop thinking about that. But in itself, it’s a good scent.

  13. I bought it blindly because they told me it was like Yara Rosada but more citrusy with mandarin. The first day it seemed very masculine and I didn’t sense the citrus, but with time… well, I loved it. It’s sexy, not overpowering, fresh, and different… I love the EDT. Over time I felt it was very masculine, but I always received compliments. On my skin, the masculine notes stand out more; I’m more of a feminine, citrusy, and aquatic type.

  14. I bought it blindly because people said it was like Yara Rosada but more citrusy with mandarins. On the first day it seemed very masculine and I didn’t detect much citrus, but with time… well, I loved it. It’s sexy, not annoying at all, fresh and different. On my skin the masculine side comes through more; I usually prefer feminine and aquatic scents, but I’ve always received compliments.

One of my first purchases; I bought it blindly and although I made a mistake (I wanted 9PM), it didn’t disappoint. Lasts around eight hours, has a moderate trail and is super unisex, perfect for late spring/summer with just a few sprays. I suddenly remembered it smells like a snow pomander from carnival and now I can’t stop thinking about it. A good scent overall.

Very citrusy yet sweet at the same time. I perceive it as unisex, lasting about six to seven hours on skin and a little longer on clothes. It has a good trail and projects well for the first two hours.

A clean and slightly elegant aroma. I can’t stop smelling my wrist. The opening is fresh but subtle, opposite to 9PM which is denser. I see it for spring/summer with light clothing. You detect the mandarin and pink pepper at the start, something revitalising for the morning; then it becomes more musky and powdery, with that typical synthetic apple note from Afnan. I perceive it as unisex, suitable for more mature and well-dressed people. It doesn’t bother anyone and is pleasant value for money. I picked it up on offer and bought it. Lasts about four to five hours; I’m letting it macerate to see if it improves like 9PM, which is more of a bomb.

  18. They told me it smells good and is for men, but here it says it’s for women, haha. It’s a different and fresh scent; I still don’t fully understand it but it has already earned me compliments.

Spectacular perfume. The opening is exquisite, and the dry down emphasises the patchouli and lavender with a hint of fruit. A wonder from start to finish, highly recommended.

Brutal perfume: the opening is divine and as it dries down, you notice the patchouli and lavender with a fruity touch. A wonder from start to finish; I recommend it 100%.

  21. I’ve been wearing it for two days; although it smells nice, it hasn’t quite convinced me. I bought it blindly following reviews. On my skin, it seems to last a short time; yesterday I sprayed it ten times and it was as if no one noticed, or it didn’t project as much as others I’ve used. It’s good, but I don’t recommend buying blindly; it’s not as beastly as the reviews suggest.

I’ve just received it. So far, I love the heavy bottle with the heavy cap; you can tell it’s quality. When I applied it to my skin, I sensed a sweet citrus, tangerine, and then the fragrance sweetened considerably. I’m not sure if it’s suitable for hot weather; I’ll update in a month as I always do.

Excellent fragrance, superb performance. On my skin, it lasted all day with great projection, very good for everyday wear. I recommend buying it blindly; the scent is very pleasant, the trail is excellent, and the price is a bargain. I own expensive designer and niche perfumes that don’t last at all, but this one does. I loved it, and something important: it’s a daytime perfume, and I was surprised by how well it works in the heat.

I was very surprised by the evolution of this perfume. It starts fresh with a juicy, clear, and bright mandarin, accompanied by cardamom which opens the game in a brilliant way. After a few minutes, the pink pepper and that green apple scent make it spicier without losing freshness, becoming more sexy. As it dries down, it turns woody, slightly spicy, and floral, where I finally notice the rose accord. On my skin, it projected for about 3 hours and lingered on the skin for 8.

A perfume that surprised me with its evolution. It begins fresh with a juicy, clear tangerine, accompanied by cardamom which opens the door excellently. After a few minutes, the pink pepper and green apple make it more spicy without losing freshness, becoming sexier. As it dries down, it turns more woody, slightly spicy and floral, where I finally sensed the rose faintly. On my skin, it lasted about three hours projecting and eight hours close to the skin.

I have no idea what’s going on with reviews here; I completely ignored this brand due to such poor descriptions until I saw a Dominican YouTuber praising its longevity and projection, so I picked it up because it’s cheap. Turns out the YouTuber wasn’t wrong. It arrived yesterday and a single drop lasted until this morning (18 hours) and was noticeable all over the house. I gave it to my wife and she loved both the scent and the trail. If you’re looking for this, buy without hesitation; it’s fresh and aromatic.
