About Cœur Fou
Cœur Fou by Givenchy is a chypre floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2024, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Alexandra Monet. In its opening, the top notes unfold the freshness of blackcurrant and the herbal touch of basil. The heart of the fragrance reveals an intense and romantic florality thanks to the combination of Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, and Damask rose. Finally, the base notes ground the composition with the elegance of moss and Indonesian patchouli leaves.

What an emotion to be the first review of this absolute treasure! To those who know me, they’ll know I’m mad about roses. I’ve had over 200 perfumes in my collection, and although I didn’t do the exact calculation, I’m sure more than half feature that flower. When I heard Coeur Fou existed, I started asking all my perfumerie contacts if there was a way to get it to Argentina. Nobody knew anything until the dream message arrived: Estefy, Coeur Fou has arrived! I didn’t hesitate for a second and bought it blind… and yes, upon testing it, I surrendered to its charms. They are fresh, delicate, and feminine roses, with a green touch that makes them even fresher, ideal for hot days. The basil is very noticeable with the sweetness of the cassis, giving it a distinct twist compared to the rose perfumes you usually smell around. I’m wearing it today and I must say I love feeling its scent when the wind sends gusts of this beauty my way. The longevity is excellent, over 8 hours on skin. The trail is moderate for the first two hours after application, then it drops to skin-level.

La Clochard
Tested on blotter, it delivers on its promise: sweet roses with a damp mossy base. It works, but for me, it’s excessively fruity and sweet. Ideal for autumn; in spring it feels redundant, and in summer, with the heat, it can be overwhelming. Though it does work for wearing at night on a terrace during hot weather. It reminds me of Versace Dylan Blue, they share notes, but this is fruity with sweet red fruit and rose as the protagonist, whereas Versace is peach. It is a fragrance that conveys joy, enjoyment, and beauty. I recommend it more to those who like sweet fruity scents than to those seeking roses, as the former defines it more.
