Descripción

CH Pasión for Her by Carolina Herrera is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by Quentin Bisch and Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds notes of pear, bergamot and violet leaves. The heart reveals a combination of Madagascar pepper, sambac jasmine, Haitian vetiver and petal. Finally, the base notes settle with vanilla, vanillin, leather and musk.

Wow! I just opened it and applied it. From the first touch, lots of leather, perhaps musk, vetiver and a hidden jasmine with violet leaves. Little pepper, bless it! It’s vanilla and amber with a creamy touch from the pear that the leather disguises perfectly. It has a green-almond nuance, perhaps due to the petal and bergamot. I don’t feel it’s feminine; it could be unisex without any issues. As it dries down, it notes sweet, vanilla and that ambered jasmine. The projection is very good.

Wow! I just opened it and applied it. Here are the early impressions. Lots of leather as soon as it touches the skin, perhaps musk, vetiver, and a hidden jasmine with violet leaves. Little pepper (blessed be). Vanilla and amber notes. A bit creamy due to the pear, but everything is disguised by the leather. Somewhat green and almonded, perhaps due to the petals and bergamot. I don’t feel it’s feminine; it could be unisex without issue. When it dries well, it feels sweet, vanilla, and ambered with that jasmine. It has very good projection.

  • I absolutely love it. The opening is citrusy but well-balanced with green notes; within a few minutes, vetiver, musk and vanilla take centre stage, becoming very creamy. In the dry-down, only the vanilla remains. It lasted around 6–7 hours with good projection and a noticeable presence. I find it very versatile, suitable for any time of year, though more of a daytime than evening scent. It feels different from the usual Carolina Herrera offerings, with a distinct oriental touch.

  • I tested it and I love it. The opening is citrusy, well-balanced with green touches; after a few minutes, vetiver, musk, and vanilla stand out, becoming very creamy. In the end, on my skin, only the vanilla was noticeable. It lasted about 6-7 hours and projected quite a bit; its presence is felt. I find it very versatile for any season, though I see it as more daytime than nighttime. It seems distinct from the Carolina Herrera fragrances I know, with an oriental touch.

An original creation, different from recent launches. I don’t have anything similar in my collection, which is why I included it. It’s fresh, spiced (I love the pepper), and sweet vanilla with a wearable, creamy leather base. I usually have trouble with leather notes; I only have three with this note. It could be unisex. If you like perfumes like Lalique Le Parfum, this CH might suit you. Smelling it evokes the colour orange for some reason (I don’t know why, but it happens to me). I’ll update my perceptions. Does it resemble La Belle? La Belle is sweeter; both carry pear, but this is a different story. They might share the leather, but in La Belle, it stands out less due to the high sweetness.

  • The opening is exquisite, the notes are incredible, magical. I fell in love at first sniff. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long, and then a very potent pepper note emerges, which I don’t enjoy. I still like it; it’s different from commercial scents, but something doesn’t quite convince me; it gives a mature touch. The dry down is pepper with musk and a floral hint. Sophisticated and lovely, but it doesn’t grab me as much as the opening, which is fresher and more youthful. Anyway, it’s enjoyable. I’d like to try it on skin.

  • I tried this on my skin today and was absolutely blown away: it’s not that generic sweet fruity or floral scent the brand usually churns out. Despite the packaging, it smells completely different. It’s based on the original but with an intelligent twist; it feels closer to the Privee than the other flankers. The opening is green, herbaceous and almost medicinal, like a balm with vanilla, reminiscent of Mugler’s Aura but drier and more woody. Then comes a distinct leather note, moderated by woods and a praline-like sweetness that becomes velvety as the leather fades, without losing that green edge (I sense a raw, earthy vetiver, more in the Lutens style than Guerlain). For me, who adores woods, leathers and deep sweet notes, it’s a resounding yes. One must acknowledge that Carolina Herrera has done a brilliant job with vetiver in women’s perfumes; it acts subtly, without veering into masculinity. It’s not ultra-feminine, so if you don’t like abstract proposals, tread carefully. I’m keen to try the men’s version to see if they are two surprises or one…

  • Today I tested it on skin and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting a fruity, sweet, or innocent floral flanker like other CH family members. But this isn’t the case. Despite the bottle, it smells wonderful; it’s a flanker built on the base of the original, which is a joy to smell. The original is well-crafted, so for this Passion to echo that base while offering a twist is a good sign. It’s closer to CH Privilège than to the Eau or Beauties. It’s worth it. Instead of the original’s citrus opening, we have a green, herbaceous, almost medicinal note, like a balm with vanilla reminiscent of Mugler Aura and Scandal Le Parfum, but less sweet, drier, and woody. Over time, a distinct leather note emerges, moderated by woods and a balanced sweetness (for me, it’s the praline of the original). The longer it goes, the more that velvet sweetness gains ground as the leather recedes, without losing the green-medical tone (it adds a raw, earthy vetiver, more like Lutens than Guerlain). For me, who loves woods, leathers, and dry sweets, this is a definite yes. Mention to Carolina Herrera’s work with vetiver in feminine perfumes; in this and Very Good Girl, it acts without veering into overtly masculine territory. It’s not ultra-feminine; don’t buy it blind if you don’t like abstract proposals outside conventional canons. I’m keen to try the CH Passion for men to see if it’s another surprise…

I bought it blind and was pleasantly surprised. It’s elegant and incredibly long-lasting. I’ve used it twice, and it lasted over eight hours on my skin and up to two days on clothes. I’m not an expert, but it seems like a super sexy and refined scent. It doesn’t resemble anything I’ve tried before, and I appreciate that it’s not overused. It has become my favourite; plus, I bought it on offer from a large beauty retailer in CH.

  • I loved it; I bought it blind, like many Carolina Herrera perfumes. The top notes are unique, having nothing in common with other designer scents, and they leave a lasting trail.

  • I was delighted; I bought it blind, as I often do with his fragrances. The top notes are unique, sharing nothing with his other designer scents, and they leave a lasting trail.

  • Exquisite perfume! I find it very original; I have nothing similar. It has a brutal sillage and bestial longevity of 10-12 hours on skin; even after showering, I still smell it slightly on my skin and it lasts days on clothes. 10/10

A spicy vanilla. At first it’s citrusy and over time it becomes spicy, sometimes with a hint of musk. If you like vanillas but don’t want to smell like generic pancake vanilla, this is your option. Beyond that, it doesn’t add much novelty to the range.

  • Resistirern1832

It’s different for me, more so than other C Herrera scents. It has a non-sweet vanilla, could be unisex. Longevity is very good and it lasts almost three days on clothes. I would buy it again.

  • anamaestracorreo

I love this perfume! It’s clear it’s a fixed linear. I perceive it as a spicy vanilla from the pepper, very creamy. The leather doesn’t bother at all; it’s a soft suede base. I will definitely buy it again.

  • What a different perfume! I ordered it at Secante one day and didn’t like it much at first; I sensed a mossy aroma. Then I gave it another chance on skin and wow! An exquisite, almost mentholated fresh vanilla that feels cold on the skin. It’s 40% unisex and I love it. I feel it’s suitable for all seasons, but especially autumn and spring. Very special and distinct; I can already see myself buying it again.

  • Edie Sedgwick

It smells like clean nappies and burnt plastic to me. It was a blind buy and I’m trying not to dislike it too much, but it’s getting difficult. It’s nothing striking; it smells like anything someone who knows nothing about perfumes would wear.

  • Maquillajecancunmx

This perfume is rich, vanilla-spiced, with a fresh touch reminiscent of Mugler’s Aura. Upon first spraying, I immediately thought of that Aura.

  • Pame.Betsabe

I bought it blindly last year and it didn’t convince me at first. The opening was very spicy and the dry-down didn’t settle. Almost a year later, as spring draws to a close, it makes sense. It remains super spicy at the start but quickly yields to jasmine, vanilla, and leather. That final note brings elegance and a unique scent. Among my 100+ perfumes, this is the most distinct. C Herrera isn’t my favourite designer, but this has earned a place. It’s not for everyone, which makes it distinguished. Longevity and sillage are top-notch. 💖🇦🇷

  • CH Passion is a jewel: it starts citrusy with a hint of pepper, giving way to a spectacular vanilla/leather blend, refreshed by vetiver. It’s not the usual; that vanilla has spicy, woody, and peppery nuances. Longevity is impeccable (8h+) with extreme projection and a notable sillage. Beware of over-applying!

  • anamaestracorreo

Another discontinued gem that deserves more attention. It has a brutal personality, typical of Quentin Bisch’s creations.
