  1. Test it on your skin; the difference from the cardboard sample is brutal. It has a sweaty opening that isn’t bad, but if that smell of cat urine settles in, it’s hard to remove. It’s not a delicate scent; it’s a nightmare for those who shy away from typical sweetness, but over time that part fades, leaving a lovely tropical-fruity aroma. It lasts well, with clear notes, and deserves a chance without so much hatred.

  2. First: test it on your skin; the difference from paper is drastic. Yes, it starts with a sweat-like scent, nothing unpleasant, but if it lingers as ‘cat pee’ it’s hard to shake that image. It’s not delicate; that’s just the opening. For those who can’t move past typical sweet scents, this could be a rough journey. Over time, that initial note fades, leaving a pleasant tropical, fruity, and fresh aroma. It’s not madness, it’s decent… it doesn’t deserve all the hate either. It lasts well, evolves, and you can really notice the notes. It’s worth a try; everyone will see if it suits them.

All the Twilly scents are exotic and fresh but with character. However, I don’t understand how Hermes, of all houses, could release a flanker with lychee that smells of terrible cat urine. I just can’t handle it. The people at Juliaque were laughing because it’s true: it’s only the opening. Okay, but who wants to smell like cat pee for even 10 minutes? I don’t get it. I tested it three times thinking I was wrong, but I wasn’t. It smells of stale urine at the start. I never reached the ‘after’ or the wonders of the ‘dry down’ because the opening was simply impossible for me. Couldn’t they have skipped that note? For those with a ‘cultivated’ nose who love it, fine, but if people look at you strangely, it’s because of that animal trail. Literally very strange to do that; I still don’t understand.

For those who have enjoyed a good wine… do you remember the first time? Did you never think all reds tasted the same? Did you not see crazy sommeliers spotting exotic notes when others only detect tannins and alcohol? One day, without knowing when, everything changes. You start giving the wine time, letting it breathe to oxygenate, and you feel its fruity, woody, and spiced nuances more clearly. You feel the wine changing, but in truth, it’s your sense of smell evolving with experience. Why am I telling you this? Because Hermes, Lalique, Trussardi, Comme des Garçons, and Diptyque are my favourite houses, and they share two things: photorealism (if that fits in perfumery) and originality. To understand them, you need PATIENCE and let the perfume ‘work’ on your olfactory bulb. You know what? As I enjoyed my colleagues’ reviews, I confessed that when I arrived I thought: how do I say this can’t be judged in 5 minutes in a shop? It needs to be aired and rested. I decided to wait, and how satisfying it was to read how others also realised it in a jiffy. Good heavens, long live Hermes for not boring us! I recognise another merit: creating something complex and mutable with few notes. It’s HARD work, like excelling in MasterChef with a French omelette. Either you’re technically brilliant or you’re left with… C… O. This TUTTI has a complicated lychee opening with ginger that seems to get in the way but doesn’t. The perfumer plays with evaporation times to lift the lychee up to the cortex and then let it fall into a bed of velvety musk, like a rollercoaster. We go from horror at the height to the pleasure of safety below… A nearly silky and beautiful finish for the nose. What a wonderful scent, simple but not for everyone because it is very its own. Longevity? 10 hours. Projection and trail? Two hours and a medium sillage. Not bad, you can’t expect less at these prices. Buy it! 🍷 And remember: PATIENCE, just like when you meet someone special or stop in a park to breathe, because patience is the mother of sciences and ESSENCES. 😉 If you like my reviews, follow my TikTok: Chuliá Parfum Reviews @chulia.my13parfums

  5. Wow, a perfume that, as the reviews say, has spicy opening notes, even reaching unpleasant odours; in my case, it smelled of sweat. But after letting it settle on the skin, it left a sweet, fresh, soft, and pleasant scent. In my opinion, it is a subtle fragrance and highly recommended for those who prefer feminine and girly scents. Perfect for a hot summer day.

  6. I just came back from the perfumery. I hated the sales assistant who urged me to try it on my skin, saying I should ‘give it time’. It smelled of cat pee (I have cats, I know exactly what that smells like) for half an hour. In the meantime, I had to do some errands, and the only thing I thought about was people smelling my trail like a cat breeding farm… but here I am, sitting and laughing at everyone’s comments because, despite the poor treatment at first, I can say that now it smells exquisite. I really don’t understand how someone can make a perfume that smells so bad at first and then undergoes such a mutation. It’s not suitable for anxious people, and above all, you must remember to put the perfume on an hour before and hide it in some inhospitable place. I remember the same happened with Un Jardin en Méditerranée: I felt it came from a vegetable shop bathed in parsley and celery smells, and then, oh surprise! Hermes’ humour is all that is good (after a while).

To me, it smells of very strong patchouli. As it dries, a soft sweet note appears in the distance, but it doesn’t suit my pH and I didn’t like it. Another person in the perfumery said it reminded them of a badger’s scent, hmm, maybe not quite that strong, but close. It depends on tastes and how it evolves on each person. It’s fundamental to test it on skin before buying. It’s not for gifting or buying blind.

  8. Wow, a perfume that, as the reviews indicate, has spicy, even unpleasant, top notes, in my case it smelled like sweat. But after letting it settle, it left a sweet, fresh, soft, and pleasant scent. In my opinion it’s a subtle fragrance and highly recommended for those who prefer the feminine and girly side. Perfect for a hot summer day.

  9. I let myself be led by the colourful packaging thinking it would be sweet, I asked the seller for it, and he looked at me as if to say: IT’S NOT GOING TO SUIT YOU, and he was right. My first impression was: is this a joke? Stale, very strong smell. I took it on the blotter and after an hour it felt more powdery, improved by 20%, but I wouldn’t use it even if they paid me.

  10. From the original Twilly, which stole my heart, to the ginger one, which I find precious and addictive… comes Tutti, without knowing what to expect, because I can’t handle the pepper… I only did one test, on skin. I have to go back and repeat it, with nothing else. But it smelled of ‘dirty’ watermelon and I couldn’t stop smelling myself all the way home. Between liking and disliking. I don’t know what to make of it. But it has personality, it does. Edited. I’ve smelled it again, this time without smelling anything else, on skin. It smells wonderful to me, better than the original (which I like a lot) and better than the ginger one (which I’m passionate about). This time I do smell the ginger and licorice. I don’t know the sillage, but if you want it to feel like you’re in an exotic garden and a bit sweet and fresh, it’s perfect.

  11. A friend has it and I just tried it. She said it was exquisite and I went to read the reviews. I couldn’t help but laugh; everyone hated it. What did I think? Exquisite, certainly not. At first, I felt the super strong lychee smell and thought okay, I’m not a fan but it’s not that bad… but after 5 minutes it no longer smelled of lychee, it smelled of horror. Someone said it smelled of their cat’s pee and I thought it was an exaggeration, but no, it has a similar smell 😂. Anyway, tastes and smells are written in stone.

  12. A friend has it and I tried it. She said it was exquisite, so I went to read the reviews; I couldn’t help laughing, everyone hated it. Exquisite certainly not. At first, I felt the strong lychee, thought ‘ok, I’m not a fan but it’s not bad…’ but after five minutes it no longer smelled of lychee, it smelled of horror. Someone said it smelled of cat urine and seemed exaggerated, but no, it’s similar. As the saying goes, taste is subjective.

  13. The worst olfactory experience of my life. The sample smells like rot, no fruit whatsoever, just sweat and disgust. I wouldn’t gift this to my worst enemy; straight to the bin.

  14. The worst thing I’ve ever smelled. They gave me a sample and it’s foul; I wouldn’t gift it to my worst enemy, it goes straight to the bin. It’s not tutti frutti; it’s sweat and pestilence.

  15. Haha, reading the comments confirmed what I thought: it reminded me of the dust in my cats’ box. But I loved it! Haha. It gives the same impression as Ninfeo Mio or Aromatics Elixir, and nobody disputes that they are masterpieces. It’s not that it’s too complex for ordinary noses, but those who have only smelled Lancôme or YSL aren’t used to it. Hermès charts its own course without trying to please everyone. Sometimes you have to try it a few times to understand it. Being polarising isn’t a bad thing. What an unexpected scent: a powdery, fresh, almost dirty fruitiness. Ten minutes in, intoxicating bursts of talc. What a deception that bottle and name. It doesn’t smell like tutti frutti, something I assumed from the first Twilly. I loved it. It’s straight onto my wishlist, even as a backup. Formulations like this don’t come along every day, make the most of them!

  16. Edited 30/04/25: I tried it again and my judgment is confirmed. Although they say it’s just initial or due to being accustomed to the sweetness, they’re wrong. I’m a fan of powerful, woody scents, and this one drives me to despair from 8 until 9:55, begging to take a shower. It doesn’t improve; it gets worse: it smells like my cat’s urine mixed with sweat, as if I’d put on dirty clothes to cover it up. The pleasant notes arrive late, but that stench doesn’t go away. It’s the most horrifying perfume I’ve ever smelled.

  17. I just tried it in-store and what a disaster. At first, it stinks; it smells of sweat and unwashed clothes, disgusting. I was so repulsed that I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands where I atomised it; terrible.

  18. Just tried it in-store and thought it would be like Poivree, but what a letdown! IT SMELLS BAD. Smells like sweat, as if you haven’t had a shower in days with equally foul clothes, DISGUSTING. To the point where I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands where I atomised it, terrible.

  19. Update 30/04/25: Contrary to my good judgement, I tried it again. It’s still early, but I decided to endure the rot even though they say it’s only initial or that it’s a matter of getting used to modern perfumes. No, no, and no again. I’m a fan of powerful, woody, and mossy perfumes, and I don’t like many sweet ones. I’ve been wearing this since 8:00 and by 9:55 I’m desperate to take a shower. It didn’t improve; it got worse. It no longer just smells like my cat’s wee, but like sweat. It smells as if I’d put on clothes my cat had peed in without having had a shower in a week. Then pleasant notes emerge, but that stench of wee and sweat becomes stronger. I’m talking about performance on my skin, but if you like it, tastes break all genres. Don’t say you need to taste it or that it’s a matter of getting used to sweetness. Please. I hadn’t been to a physical perfumerie in ages due to the pandemic, but this literally smells like my cat’s wee. I adore my cat, but from there to wanting to smell her wee… well, no. It’s the most terrifying perfume I’ve ever smelled.

  20. anamaestracorreo

One of the worst scents (in my opinion). Smells like tutti frutti deodorant after sweating. At first it seems to pass with the lychee and talc, but when you give it time it’s fatal. The ginger isn’t anywhere to be seen, what a shame as it’s a note I love.

One of the worst aromas under my taste. It smells of tutti frutti deodorant after sweating. At first it seems to work with the lychee… but when you give it time, it’s fatal. The ginger isn’t anywhere to be seen, what a shame as it’s a note I love.

  22. Just tried it and until half an hour passes and it starts to dry down, it smells like sweat just as the previous review says. Now that phase has passed and it smells musky, quite better, but that first phase… there’s no getting around it.

I know Hermès tends to be polarising for my nose, but the Eau Ginger version seemed very cool to me, delicious for intense summer with a touch of freshness and cleanliness. I have the Poivree version, which cost me wanting because it smells like pencil shavings, but I can’t deny its quality, longevity, and projection, being a beautiful spicy and woody rose halfway through the scent. With this perfume, something immediate happened: an instant dislike. I don’t want to beat around the bush, just that it smelled to me like a bar of deodorant impregnated with sweat. Let’s be honest: we all sweat. There are days when our sweat has a peculiar aroma that only we catch and put us in a bad mood, and deodorant just helps it combine. That’s how this perfume smelled to me, reminding me of those embarrassing hormonal moments of my adolescence. Strange and something only we catch. I didn’t like it at all… the curious thing is that my boyfriend smelled it and liked it quite a bit, maybe he’ll give it more chances later. For now I still desire the Eau Ginger for the infernal heat.
