Descripción

Le Male Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier is an oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by Quentin Bisch and Natalie Gracia-Cetto. Its olfactive structure unfolds with a top note of cardamom, giving way to a heart of lavender and iris. The trail settles on a base of vanilla, oriental notes, and woody notes.

What else can be said about this fragrance that hasn’t been? The first time I didn’t love it; I even thought it smelled like a barber shop, but I was confused. I got it at a good price in Argentina (around $72 for the 125ml version). It’s one of the most enjoyable I use; it stands out quite a bit. The iris makes it special and distinct, soft and wearable, nothing like Gentleman Reserve Privee. The vanilla gives perfect sweetness and the cardamom is delicious, combining sweetness and elegance. Lasts as long as needed, but stays in a personal bubble, not projecting wildly. Ideal for intimate situations. Overall it’s a 9.5/10; I love it.

  • It’s a beautiful fragrance. Very addictive, dark, and masculine. Ideal use: dates, night, autumn, and winter.

I bought it in summer and not being able to use it until it got cold was like Bruce Wayne looking at the Batman suit: a beast ready to emerge. I bought the 75ml because, although it smells brutal, it’s not the time for puddings. It’s Le Male DNA but more intense and long-lasting. In the original, the vanilla is camouflaged; here it’s practically vanilla and woody. It smells sweet, has body, and has that click the normal bottle didn’t give me. I used it almost always with my girlfriend and she always said how good it smelled. I wear it very little because we’re not in the mood for drowning in cologne, but when I do, I know the night is going to be wickedly good.

  • I loved it from start to finish; it has the Le Male DNA but is more mature, masculine, and dark without being cloying. It’s worthy for evening events, dates, or parties; it won’t fail, it’s exquisite. The only issue: the projection on my skin is very intimate; you have to get close to smell it. I don’t know if others experience this, but in my case, it’s an excellent fragrance with very little sillage.

  • Straight up: The best Le Male and perhaps the best JPG I’ve tried. Le Male Elixir is good but feels strident to me; this, despite being sweet, is enigmatic and addictive. It has never left me feeling down when I wear it.

  • Monoborracho

What can I say? A fantastic fragrance. If you like Le Male, you’ll love this: it keeps its DNA but adds iris, becoming more elegant and adult, like James Bond in a casino. The opening is brutal, with very good longevity and projection. It’s for special occasions, to stand out without asking permission. I wouldn’t wear it in the office or for daily use: too sexy for that.

  • Nicomandressi

What a rich perfume; women absolutely love it! The cardamom gives it a spicy, herbal touch with a hint of lavender. It smells clean, masculine, and sophisticated without being soapy like others. It reminds me of Le Male Elixir but is less sweet and more refined. It’s not for the young; it’s fantastic for winter nights. Not for everyday wear, it’s special and intense yet not invasive. Lasts 8 hours, the packaging is gorgeous and original like the JPG line. Buy blind and keep it for weddings, dinners, or dates. I used it with six girls and they all asked what perfume I was wearing, haha.

  • Unique, elegant aroma that projects like a beast. NOT for daytime as it’s sweet and can feel heavy (unless it’s intensely cold); ideal for night and special occasions. I do NOT recommend buying blind: it’s mature and sophisticated, nothing like Stronger With You or Dior Homme Intense. If you don’t have a mature personality, it might seem heavy on you. Dry down 10/10 (pleasant to everyone), longevity 9/10 (6-7h on skin, more on clothes), projection 8/10 (fills the room when you enter). Price 7/10 (around $130-140, expensive but worth it if for collection). Verdict 8.5/10: I heartily recommend it if you want to receive compliments for smelling elegant and sexy.

  • If there’s Quentin involved, it has to be a great perfume… Purchase pending for Duty Free, but I don’t like buying designer in my country due to warranty issues, so I took advantage of a tester (though without the cap). The perfume is incredible; the lavender-iris combination works flawlessly. What’s bad? The projection and longevity are poor; I don’t know if the initial batches were better. There are few better options for intimate dates; it’s not party-heavy or loud, but it’s perfect for that. Not a blind buy: although I love it, it’s not for teenagers.

It smells to me like scarlet wax, that product used to polish floors in red: a cinnamon scent but petrol-like and oily, very addictive. It’s enveloping and seductive; girls feel comfortable in it. Without trying to be technical, it smells of vanilla, lavender, women’s makeup, and a woody base. It feels warm once dry. Lasts 7-8h on skin and 3-4 days on clothes. Scent 7.5, projection 6.9, longevity 8.7. Final rating 7/10 (77% perfection).

  • I don’t own one; I went to a department store to smell it. At first, it gave me the ‘meh’ treatment. They sprayed it on a piece of paper for me, and then I went home. A few days later, I smelled the paper again and the dry-down was delicious—a vanilla that isn’t cloying like certain Arabian scents out there. To be honest, it’s been three weeks since I put that paper in my room and it still smells like that rich vanilla. I’ve only caught a whiff from a distance twice; it’s my next purchase. I’d buy the 75ml because I don’t think it’s a scent for everyday use.

  • I’m not sure if it’s my nose, but my take on this perfume differs from everyone else’s: it smells like women’s makeup to me, specifically powder with a touch of vanilla, right from the start and through the dry-down. (I tested it in perfumeries as I had ordered it online, and it smells the same).

  • It’s good, very rich. Sweet with presence. Elegant. It works well for the office in winter and also for night outs, although it lacks that festive touch the other JPGs have. A good perfume, but sometimes I think they exaggerate a bit when calling it the best Le Male.

  • Nathanfragrance

Excellent, though less versatile than its sisters. From the outset, it smells far more elegant and executive, thanks to its warm, floral/herbal and cardamomo notes. As it dries down, vanilla, amber and a woody touch become more apparent, while the classic JPG DNA lingers on the skin in the final stages. Would I buy blind? Probably, but if you want to be sure, test it first. Would I recommend it? If you’re looking for something more formal without being over the top, or want to stand out a little, it’s for you. For me, it’s an 8.5/10.

  • Without a doubt, this is the best of all the JPGs. It’s sweet but not cloying, possessing that clean, fresh touch that makes it more elegant to wear. I recommend it more for night dates; this perfume is a beast in the cold. In conclusion, it’s elegant, slightly more serious and seductive, ideal for elegant events and dates. The longevity is quite good; the trail is nice but after 4-5 hours it stays closer to the skin. Considering the price and quality, it’s excellent, as it doesn’t smell synthetic or low quality.

  • To start, I’m not a huge fan of JPGs generally, but this is the most elegant and the only one I’d happily wear. Cardamomo is noticeable at first, but the iris really stands out. The lavender adds a clean touch, making the whole blend very refined. My only gripe is the dry-down, as it sweetens considerably. Still, it’s a good perfume. The longevity isn’t the best compared to its siblings, which last until you’re bored. However, it’s a solid choice.

  • I’m not the biggest fan of JPGs, but I have to admit, the first time I smelled it, I fell in love. It’s rich, sexy and incredibly versatile for any age. It’s elegant, and I appreciate that it’s not too loud; that moderate sillage gives it great personality. It’s a super addictive and long-lasting scent. On my skin, it lasts about 6-8 hours with good projection for the first four, after which it becomes soft and intimate.

  • Refined, elegant and highly seductive. Projects strongly, easily lasts 8 hours and leaves a lasting impression. 2025 batch.

  • My favourite fragrance from the collection. Super elegant and hits all the right notes. The best JPG to wear out and about.

  • It’s an exquisite perfume, a charming scent. Some will say it doesn’t project much and that’s true, but that doesn’t make it bad. It’s in my top 5 favourite perfumes. Perhaps the price is a bit high, but it’s recommended.

  • On Skin Parfums

Le Male Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier. I bought it for around €60 for 125 ml. I tested it beforehand as a tester in a trusted store. As a scent it’s incredible, sexy, captivating, interesting and masculine. But the problem is the longevity. When I reach the threshold of the fragrance’s life, I ask a third party to rule out my olfactory fatigue. On my dry skin it doesn’t last even 4 hours and on clothes about 7. With another person with better skin it lasted 4-5 hours, which is still deficient. I tested it with the perfume well-oxygenated. Its trail is very intimate. I saw a reviewer (I think it was Gustavo) confirm this and I should have listened. Call me crazy, but calling your fragrance Le Male Le Parfum when it’s an EDP doesn’t seem entirely honest; it causes confusion. Would I recommend it? If you’re a collector, yes, because I repeat that I love the scent, but if there aren’t better alternatives that fulfil those occasions of use, perhaps not.

  • The opening is a soft, delicious iris that I loved, but then it fades until only a sweet trail remains. After three hours, there’s nothing left. No matter how good the opening is, no fragrance at that price deserves such poor performance.

  • A super hyped perfume I bought on offer in 75ml, but it doesn’t last at all. Literally, it smells for five minutes on skin before fading, even though it’s been oxygenated. The opening smells lovely, but once it dries down in the sun, it becomes overpowering.

  • It has fewer notes than a doorbell, but executes them flawlessly. Projection is just enough to make someone want to come closer to smell it. Elegant, mass-appealing, sweet without being cloying. Definitely my favourite from the brand.

  • I think it’s the best Jean Paul Gaultier perfume. It smells like sex, like lust, too good. Pity its projection, but I think that’s its purpose: to be an intimate fragrance. It lasts too long, especially on clothes. Divine aroma, low projection.

  • Very good. It was my first fragrance from the brand; initially, it disappointed me as I expected something different, but then I grew to appreciate it and now I love it. It’s my favourite from Jean Paul Gaultier.

  • I bought it the other day and tried it for a night. I sprayed 7-10 times and it’s a bomb. After the first hour I stopped smelling it due to olfactory fatigue, but at 5-6 hours I asked if it was detectable and from three metres they said yes. It’s a vanilla scent that I really like. I perceive it as Le Male but more ‘sharp’ than strong. It’s reliable, long-lasting and essential for nights out when the temperature is below 24 degrees.

  • Rick Azafranado

Rich, exquisite, nocturnal, and modern, with the DNA of the classic Le Male and also Ultramale. If you like JPG, you must own it. I’d wear it without hesitation for dates or formal events. Ideal for 25 years and up. It lasts a long time but with a moderate trail. It feels high quality.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

Very rich, but too sweet for me. I only wear it on very cold days. It’s potent and lasts a long time. It invites you to wear it and smell it, with a seductive touch. If it weren’t so potent, I’d like it even more, but we’re talking about JPG and a Parfum version. A perfect combo to be explosive. I recommend it widely, especially if you like sweet scents.

  • Widely reviewed. It easily makes my all-time top 10, alongside COL WATER, PRADA L’HOME, and MERCEDES CLUB BLACK. Although it doesn’t last as long on me, the scent is intoxicating and addictive. It’s an obsession.

  • What a lovely perfume. There’s no other way to describe it. It’s not meant to attract attention, but rather something more personal with a moderate trail. If it’s for a date or being close to someone, they’ll surely thank you immensely. Warning: it’s not for hot weather, but perfect for autumn and winter. In the cold, it’s exquisite, but in the heat, it barely shows; it’s more of an evening scent. For an intimate encounter, it’s an incredible weapon that attracts. 100% confirmed. It has the DNA of the original Le Male but with more chocolate, vanilla, and that pleasant cardamom in the opening. Once dried down, vanilla takes over and lavender stands out, even though it says iris. I apply about 10 sprays as I work at night; after eight hours, I still feel 30-40% of the potency. Recommended, although if you don’t like sweet and seductive perfumes, this won’t be for you.

  • ezemigliarese

I tried it in store and within less than two hours it was gone, even when sniffed up close. The scent is rich, but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

  • djkonablue

One of my favourites. An exceptional scent that captivates anyone who gets close. It lacks projection and trail, but that makes people want to lean in and smell it more. Without a doubt, a 10/10.

  • gercabrera_

Bought this today (June 2025 batch); I already had one from February 2022 that was running low. Testing them side by side, the new one is sharper and lasts longer, whereas the older one felt creamier and sweeter, perhaps due to age. It’s a sweet, spiced, and powdery scent, super enveloping, masculine, and elegant. It earns compliments and is possibly the best designer fragrance out there.

  • Mike Jiménez

A fragrance I’ve been waiting for after trying it before. It’s nocturnal but without overdoing it. Without a doubt, one of the best from JPG.

  • Paclemale98

Le Male Le Parfum by JPG is the king. I’ve owned it and I say there’s nothing better. The spicy opening smells incredible, but the magic happens when it dries down and the vanilla emerges: sweet and long-lasting. I usually like heavy projection, but this creates an intimate bubble. It proves you don’t need to project three metres to be a great fragrance. It didn’t last long on me, but my partner and friends always catch the scent and love it. I recommend it, of course, even if it’s not ‘beast mode’; it doesn’t grab attention but invites people to come closer and adores them.

  • Luis Moyita

Perfect for a date or a gift for your girlfriend. It doesn’t shout like others, yet it delivers: elegant, discreet, and incredibly seductive.
