The Most Wanted Intense by Azzaro

Exquisite and versatile perfume, with a fresh, sweet citrus opening reminiscent of bergamot mojito. The dry-down is the best part: it retains a hint of sweetness while releasing lavender, supported by a rich alcohol base that isn’t unpleasant. I love the blend; it’s a proper stunner, but the longevity disappoints. On skin, it lasts about three hours, and on clothes, six; it seems they took the ‘Eau de Toilette’ label very seriously. I’m not sure if this is my batch, a counterfeit, or how it’s originally intended. Recommended solely for the scent, as the longevity leaves much to be desired.

I tried this EDT by chance on a sample that came with another perfume. It was love at first sniff. I was fascinated by its lavender scent and slightly caramelised notes. It’s true that it doesn’t have as much projection as its older siblings, but that’s exactly what I’m looking for: something moderate that smells exquisite. I decided to buy it, and pfff, it’s one of my favourites.

What a delightful fragrance; undoubtedly an excellent blue proposal from Azzaro. They didn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s a great option for any occasion and time of year. It opens fresh and citrusy with a subtle sweetness that isn’t cloying, delivering that blue vibe found in Myslf and YSL Y (though with differences). The lavender gives a soapy, clean, and pleasant sensation, ideal for feeling refreshed. What I like most is that boozy touch; in a blue fragrance, that makes it special. It’s good, a modern interpretation of the blue genre: clean, slightly sweet, with a delicious liquor note. Occasions: All-terrain, daily, gym, casual outings. Perhaps for nightclubs it needs more application. Longevity: six to eight hours on skin, with three to four hours of decent projection. Rating: 9.2.

Severely underrated. It may seem overshadowed by the other Azzaros (Most Wanted), but it has nothing to envy them. Good aromatic quality and versatile, suitable for cold or warm weather, day or night, though more for daily wear or the office. If you enjoy fougères or aromatic lavender, it’s a blind buy. The citrus opening, with bergamot embraced by lavender, is exquisite. After twenty to thirty minutes, the bergamot fades and the lavender takes centre stage like a superhero. In the base, I detect more oakmoss with lavender than liquor. It lasts about six hours with decent projection for half an hour. If you like what it is, it’s a workhorse.

I was in a perfumerie and the saleswoman told me: ‘Iván, try this one’. First spray: ‘immediate punch’. It was as if the perfume was saying: ‘Get off the employees, I’m passing through’. The projection was immediate, leaving a trail and marking presence from the start. I took my time, didn’t let myself be carried away, smelled others, walked around, compared… while others faded away, this one stayed. It’s not the most elegant or refined, but it clearly tells you: ‘I am everything you need in your life’. Masculine, sweet, refined and sticky in a good way. The feeling was so good the perfume seemed to say: ‘You know you love me, take me with you’. Recommendation: evening, nights out, when you want to be felt and remembered. Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 8/10, Presence: 9/10, Feeling: 9/10.

If I had to choose one fresh fragrance without hesitation, this is it. It has everything: lasts 7–8 hours, worth the price (45 USD), and smells like a blend of YSL My Self, Azzaro The Man Wood EDP, with a touch of Invictus Platinum. Easy to like but distinct from the typical. Ideal for heat and temperate climates.

It seems very similar to Halloween Man Mystery, just without the leather of the Halloween version and perhaps without the pineapple.

Very rich; I recommend it for daily wear in heat, cold, or temperate weather. It’s a blue that delivers. Lasts about 6–7 hours with moderate projection. In my opinion, it’s the second-best TMW after Intense EDP.

Soapy, clean, and elegant scent. Nothing new; it smells very much like YSL My Self, with ambroxan from Sauvage in the base. It’s versatile, but I see it working better for dates or night outs. I liked it and might buy it again. It would be better with more longevity and projection, but that’s its charm. Rounded, Azzaro doesn’t disappoint. 9/10.

Tested on wrists. Opens soapy, like neutral Palmolive, probably due to the lavender. I don’t detect citrus, but rather ambered lavender, perhaps with an undeclared amber molecule. That scent lasts 15 minutes. Then comes the amber, and depending on the air, the liquor appears: some say rum, but it reminds me of Clubman’s Whisky Woods and little of brandy, without the apple, closer to Whisky Woods. It’s not aftershave quality, but it’s elegant and mature. Suitable for daily evening wear or meetings, better for romantic outings. I don’t detect moss or citrus, only lavender, amber, and whisky. The best would be a good wood with whisky. Very elegant, works for outings, meetings, or intimate encounters.

Smells odd; the base note dominates too much and I wouldn’t recommend it. Don’t bother asking about longevity.

My first perfume of this type; I couldn’t find what I wanted in the shop and decided on this one. No regrets, it’s brilliant for a young person’s daily routine, ideal for ages 15 to 30. It opens with citrus and sweet lavender, then the citrus fades into a darker scent while retaining the lavender. Longevity isn’t the best: at school it lasted from 10:30 to 5:30, fading after 6, roughly 7 to 8 hours. Projection is good; people told me they could smell me when I walked out. A very good option and I recommend it.

Like a cold beer on a hot day: classic sweetened lavender. Not fussy, very rich without effort. Works excellently for daily wear; among sweet and fruity perfumes, this has a vintage masculine line with a modern twist.

Classic structure and unmemorable. On dry skin it smells soapy, with bergamot and lavender, barely citrusy. Test before buying.

I bought it almost blindly, having smelled it months ago without paying much attention. I saw it on offer and couldn’t resist. It seemed like a steal. That drowsy base with lavender and bergamota smells like a mojito and doesn’t change; the longevity is excellent for an EDT (I wore it last night and could still smell it at 11 o’clock). That fresh, youthful vibe gives it versatility in different climates, even in the cold, and it also works at night. If you’re looking for an all-rounder, it’s cheap, long-lasting and versatile.
