  Strong opening of iris and ambroxan with a hint of cardamom. After 3-5 hours, it degrades and settles into wood, maintaining the ambroxan. Sillage is soft, projecting about an arm’s length at most, depending on skin pH or if applied to clothing. The opening is weak for me, but once settled, it’s a bomb of violet and ambroxan. It lasts well: while most fragrances don’t last long on me, this reaches 8 hours on skin and a full day on clothes. It has a soft presence, not loud or conquering, but anyone who smells it will want to be near. Ideal for enclosed spaces or semi-formal dinners, and perfect for the office as it is wearable and affordable.

  I bought it blindly on sale and regretted the first spray immediately. It smells chemical, like rubber with a sugary touch. I don’t detect the iris. While it’s not a massive sillage, it gives me a headache and is unbearable. It improves slightly as it dries, but nothing to write home about.

  Upon opening, it smells heavy, just like the Sandalwood in the collection, which can leave a poor first impression. However, once applied, it becomes brilliant: very masculine, marine, and dark. It’s linear, featuring ambroxan and violet notes all day. The performance is excellent: three hours of potency, then dropping to 50% but still lingering. It easily lasts 8+ hours. I use it at 31 degrees, but be careful with the sprays as over-applying makes it invasive initially. Recommended for moderate temperatures, though it performs best at 25 degrees or lower.

  I was genuinely surprised that it smells like Nishane Hacivat; I’ve worn it several times alongside hers and they share something truly special. I certainly didn’t expect such quality from a Zara fragrance.
