  Definitely, Elie Saab perfumes and I just don’t get along. My love for their dresses has nothing to do with my affection for their fragrances. They all seem nice at first, but ultimately they turn out unpleasant. I tried this scent with great enthusiasm for summer, but I simply can’t stand it; the fig is too potent and doesn’t fit with the rest of the notes for me, or at least the combination is disagreeable. It won’t be my summer perfume.

  I absolutely love it; it’s my new favourite! The fig note is enveloping without being cloying; it’s the first Elie Saab perfume that has truly captured me. It subtly reminds me of Tommy’s Dreaming. A total success!

  I would never buy this at a regular perfume counter; the magic lies in blind buys. I picked it up because I know the house, and besides, they aren’t part of the big conglomerates like P&G or L’Oréal, but Shiseido. With perfumer Francis K and notes that aren’t typical summer scents (at least when combined), it’s strong: the fig and frangipani opening dominates the first hour, then jasmine and mandarin come through at the end. It lacks that classic refreshing citrus note; instead, it’s bold, elegant and different. It won’t go unnoticed because I know nothing similar. Longevity is moderate, around six hours, which is excellent for summer. It’s more fruity than floral, but I recommend smelling it before buying.
