Caramel and salt, spot on. Upon opening, it smells like sugar burning at its sweetest point, though my nose picks up more salt than sweetness. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter, like freshly made almond pancakes with a pinch of salt to balance and a thin layer of melted caramel on top. It’s not cloying; it’s well-balanced. Ideal for winter and evening, with excellent longevity. Would I buy it? No, it’s a delicious treat to enjoy occasionally.
After reading so many reviews, I was eager to try Salted Caramel (: My friends hated it—even one said it smelled like vomit, ha—while others adored it. Here I am, opening the little packet with trembling hands.. not true xD, expecting a delicious salted caramel. When I sniffed it.. ufff!!! It’s a strange mix, too salty and sweet at the same time. At first, it smells like cookies or bread; the salt is very prominent, similar to Womanity and Coney Island, and at the end, the sweet caramel comes through, but it’s not cloying. I expected something creamier.. There’s something marine or aquatic in the base (but very synthetic), typical of men’s perfumes. It lasts a long time on the skin but doesn’t project well. Well, what a pity… it’s heading straight to the gift box. Perhaps that person belongs to the lovers of salted caramel or those who detest it like me; in any case, it won’t be indifferent to them 😉
