I bought this by mistake, thinking it was the pink-capped EDT, but this is a different story: white cap, greenish liquid, and a box with green edges. Upon application, it smells distinct: starts with lemon and lime, fresh green grass notes that last a few minutes. Then comes the talc, which I adore, intensifying as the citrus fades. Suddenly, just talc and apricot (though I don’t declare it, it smells like that to me, perhaps peach). And the strangest part: something milky, like a milk-soaked biscuit. It doesn’t bother me; in fact, I like it. Ultimately, it’s talcum-powdered apricot with milky notes, fresh with a subtle citrus undertone. Hours later, it smells of wood (cedar or amber) mixed with the earlier sweetness. No florals, very summery for evening, unique and special. It has poor projection, stays close to the skin and is soft, but lasts hours. I’ve loved it, especially for the price. I wouldn’t buy it in large quantities.

Without losing the soul of the original Dahlia Noir, this L’Eau is distinct from the EDT, which I love. That’s how a flanker should be: faithful yet special, so you think ‘I need this’ rather than ‘just another one’. According to the website, it’s a floral chypre, but on my skin it smells green and woody, very fresh. If not for the flower, I’d say it’s unisex. Anecdote: I brought a miniature that fell to the floor; I wiped off the liquid but the scent persisted all day. People passing by commented on how good it smelled. My brother said, ‘It smells like a forest, where’s the nymph combing her hair under a tree?’. I’ll use it a lot until summer ends.

A friend gifted it to me because she thought it smelled ‘old lady-like’, but to me it seems versatile, suitable for everything: formal or casual. It’s well-constructed: starts with citrus, moves to a rose that, with patchouli, leaves a serious trail but not an old one—rather floral and fresh. It’s a reinterpretation of classic green scents, but with a brighter twist.

I agree with Annabel Lee: if not for the floral note, it would be unisex. On my skin, it’s feminine, delicate, youthful, and fresh. Ideal for daytime, timeless, with medium intensity and short longevity.
