I preferred the olfactive pyramid of the eau de toilette in the little bee bottle; it was more powdery. Here they have added more notes, the violet is more artificial (not so well integrated), and, as the hours pass, the vanilla swallows everything. Why do they change the scent when they change the bottle? What is the obsession with changing what was done well?

  • I absolutely love it! It’s super girly, delicate and beautiful, making me sigh with delight 🥰 Smells of super sweet violets and iris, with a base reminiscent of Versace Red Jeans but with far higher quality and extra notes like berries. The dry-down is similar, not identical, but certainly comparable. It lasts forever and has an incredible trail. Be careful with the sprays, as it can be very intense! It’s divine, smelling clean, sweet, elegant, sophisticated and very current ❤️❤️❤️

  • I love it! It’s so girly, delicate and pretty that it makes me sigh. It smells of super sweet violets and iris, with a base very similar to Versace’s Red Jeans, but with much higher quality and extra notes such as red fruits. The dry-down follows a similar olfactive path, not identical, but close. It lasts forever and has an impressive trail. Be careful with the sprays: it can be very strong. It’s divine, it smells clean, sweet, elegant, sophisticated and modern.

I bought it blindly to give to my mother. A grave mistake. It’s not that the perfume is ugly, but it’s very youthful, more suitable for a teenager. It smells like red fruit juice with flowers. I don’t regret buying it, but I would have preferred to give her something else.

  • luciapaula

Personally, I didn’t like it, but it is exactly everything it says it is. For those who enjoy violet and the powdery iris, you will love it without a doubt.

  • What a beautiful scent, what a pity I didn’t know the original versions. Sweet violets with a bouquet of sweetened fruits. Whenever I wear it, I feel beautiful and sophisticated. I’ve worn it on summer evenings and nights and it feels spectacular, especially when its scent envelops you, accompanying you and making you feel very feminine. Its longevity surprises me; I’ve even felt it on my skin the next day. I love it 🥰

  • What a beautiful scent; it’s a pity I don’t know the original versions. Sweet violets with a bouquet of sweetened fruits. Whenever I wear it, I feel beautiful and sophisticated. I’ve worn it on summer evenings and nights, and it’s spectacular, especially when it sends its aroma to accompany you and make you feel very feminine. Its longevity surprises me: I’ve even felt it until the next day on my skin. I love it!

I’ve read it’s a fairy perfume and I agree, provided we’re talking about that childish and familiar image, since ancient fairies were wild and cruel: they could take a traveller to a party, and by dawn fifty or a hundred years would have passed, or even kill them and dip a cap in their blood, or make them walk in circles until they starved to death. Some were household guardians, but rare, due to a bad deal or circumstance, not for pleasure. The main note is violet with red fruits, setting it apart from other Insolence. The iris adds more talc, while the sandalwood provides body and creaminess. Although violet is the signature, here it’s so intertwined with red fruits that they are both protagonists. This gives it a youthful and approachable touch, ideal for those seeking a violet-centred fragrance without vintage nuances. The red fruits highlight the warm, slightly cloying sweetness of the flower, so it’s not for those who dislike violet, which is most people. It has good sillage and longevity. I see it well for summer nights, to convey cheerful femininity. The pink liquid colour represents the fragrance and the image it projects. I wouldn’t recommend it for hot days, as the violet swells, becomes sweeter, and can cause headaches. I like it for autumn; it shines on rainy, cold days where the sandalwood takes centre stage, giving a sense of thick coat or fur blanket. I find it too floral and fruity for winter, and too heavy and fruit-focused for spring. Perhaps use it on late spring evenings or nights when the heat rises and we seek a fruity touch. I wouldn’t recommend it as a gift unless you know the recipient loves violets or is looking for a violet-based perfume.

  • Very feminine, delicate, powdery, sweet and elegant! With just a few sprays, it lasts all day without losing its punch. I find it a magical scent, like a spell or a dream; it’s unique, and whoever wears it will stand out. I agree it gives off fairy or beautiful mythical creature vibes. Personally, I prefer the EDT over the EDP as I find it less heavy, though they are similar. The best time is autumn and winter.

  • I like it! But don’t buy it blindly. It’s very different from current trends. If you wear it, be sure no one else will smell the same. It’s elegant, unique, with a dark, dry, non-sweet and talc-like touch; the violet dominates. In my opinion, it’s not for teenagers, but for women aged 30 and above. You don’t need many sprays: it has high concentration and lasts. It’s not light; it seems too heavy for hot climates, but ideal for autumn and winter, day and night.

  • I like it, but don’t buy it blindly. It’s very different from trendy perfumes. If you wear it, you’re guaranteed to be the only one smelling like that. It’s elegant, unique, with a dark, dry touch, nothing sweet or powdery, and the violet dominates. In my opinion, it’s not for teenagers or very young women, but rather for women aged 30 and above. You don’t need many drops as it has high concentration and lasts a long time. Furthermore, it’s not a light fragrance. It seems too much for hot climates, but it’s ideal for autumn and winter, both day and night.

  • It’s very feminine, delicate, powdery, sweet and elegant; a few drops last all day without losing potency. It seems like a magical scent, like a spell or a dream, a unique fragrance. I believe whoever wears it will stand out. I agree it gives the vibe of a fairy perfume or some beautiful mythical being. Personally, I prefer the EDT over the EDP as I find it less heavy, though both are very similar. I think the best time to wear it is in autumn and winter.

  • It’s a feminine perfume that a man could wear without issues, thanks to that ‘dry’ and talc-like sensation from the violet and iris. I’m just starting to use it and enjoy it greatly, despite it being categorised as feminine.

  • My reference is ‘la pastillita Yapa’, a beloved Argentine sweet I adore, though I regret the reformulation. The original bottle was gorgeous, but after the change, longevity and sillage suffered. My first bottle belonged to my mother; she didn’t like it, but what luck for me, as I adored it. It’s very special, nothing common. It smells like children’s sweets, yet it’s not a youthful fragrance: it’s sweet with a hint of tartness. My advice: wear it in autumn or winter to avoid overwhelming those around you. Being so unique, it’s not for everyone, neither the wearer nor the observer.

  • Insolence is pure insolence: here I am, and I’m staying. It’s an ode to nostalgia, melancholy, and the beauty of iris and violet. As I’ve never eaten violet sweets, I can’t comment on those, but the soft iris and powdery violet are very noticeable and last for hours on the skin. I don’t detect the berries, but I do smell that white blossom of neroli that cleanses. I’m not sure if it leaves a trail, but beyond my arm it’s detectable and holds well on clothes. Very feminine, perfect for everyday wear, sweet but not cloying (and I haven’t found a gourmand I truly like). It’s not for blind buying or gifting without trying; it’s not a perfume for an older lady, if I like it, I wear it and that’s it. Every skin is different; tastes vary.

  • I detected nothing sweet on my skin, only a violet scent like those perfumery colognes and soaps. I didn’t smell violet caramel, although I tested it with a tin of sweets to compare.

  • I felt nothing sweet on my skin, just a violet scent like those department store colognes and soaps. I didn’t pick up any violet caramel note, even though I tested it right next to a small tub of those candies to compare.

  • I bought it because of the reviews, and it’s as if you’re carrying a load of mythical violet sweets!❤️ The first time I smelled it, it was very powdery, but as soon as I detected the violet caramel, the powder disappeared and never returned in any subsequent sprays.

  • Gemasevilla

Totally powdery!!!! A marvel!!!! Let me point out a difference: the EDP is sweeter with that touch of violet sweets, but the EDT is totally powdery. A dry powder with a very soft sweetness. A delight for those who love powdery scents. Watch out!!! I’m talking about the pot with the bees (the one in the photo). They have changed the packaging and added more notes to the olfactory pyramid.

  • My mum asked if I’d put on a new perfume, and when I said no, she remarked that it smelled like floor lavender deodorant mixed with something strong from my grandmother, so she stopped buying it; my dad also complained about the intense scent, and I just laughed at the sadness. I don’t know if it’s fake, expired, or my nose is broken, because everyone says it smells like violet candies, but to me it’s a slap of talcum powder with violet trying to break through and vanilla very far in the background. It’s embarrassing because I had high expectations, yet it’s so powdery I can’t smell the vanilla or the tuberose, and on my skin it’s harsh and bitter until I feel dust on my tongue and start coughing; I swear there’s bitterness, so don’t buy it blindly because every nose and pH is a different world.

  • My mum said to me: Ary, have you put on a new perfume? I replied no, why? And she said: ah, it’s that since today I smell a strong scent like the lavender deodorant in the flat, but it smells like a strong perfume and like your grandmother, I’m not going to buy that deodorant again. Then my dad came in and said: that strong smell? Have they discontinued that deodorant again? I just laughed sadly… I don’t know if mine is fake, expired, or if my nose is broken, because everyone says it’s sweet or like violet sweets. The truth is it smells like a sophisticated perfume but it’s very strong and imposing, just like the name. In the air or on my skin it’s like a slap of powder to the face, with the violet trying to stand out and the berries trying to sweeten it in the background. I’m sorry because I had expectations; it’s so powdery I can’t smell the berries or the neroli. On my pH, forget it (rough, bitter powder), it’s like the dust gets into my tongue and makes me cough; I feel bitterness. That’s why you shouldn’t buy blind; every pH and nose is a different world.

  • Rocio Basurto

It finally conquered me; my perfume tastes have diversified and fragrances I didn’t like before are now catching my attention. This eau de toilette is the case: when dry, that rich, slightly powdery scent lasts for days. On my skin it smells even better; it’s so rich, smelling of violets, acidic red fruits, and iris. It’s on my list of future purchases.

  • Reina Amigdala

The ‘powdery’ note kept me away for years until a decant opened my eyes: it evokes my childhood, parties with voluminous dresses and ribbons. Perhaps due to the resemblance to violet sweets from piñatas. It doesn’t smell powdery, but rather fresh red fruits and violets. It’s cheerful, sweet without being cloying, extremely feminine. I’d wear it all year round for informal occasions. Heavy trail and long-lasting.

  • Reina Amigdala

The adjective ‘powdery’ kept me away from this fragrance for years, until a decant was gifted to me. The moment I smelled it, something woke up inside me, something that made me think of my childhood, of children’s parties with voluminous dresses and huge bows. I don’t know why, perhaps due to the resemblance to violet sweets from piñatas. I felt I needed it and bought it that same day. To my fortune, it doesn’t smell particularly powdery, but rather of fresh red fruits and violets. It’s a cheerful, sweet but not cloying, extremely feminine scent. I would wear it all year round in informal occasions. Heavy trail and long-lasting.

  • Luminous and sweet violets with berries, soft and balanced iris. I bought it blind and have no regrets: Insolence EDT is addictive, intoxicating, and makes me feel happy, like a fairy tale. Use it moderately indoors due to the trail. Top quality, no dupes.

  • I smell luminous, sweet violets with a touch of berries, mixed with a soft, balanced iris. I bought it blind and have no regrets, because Insolence EDT is addictive, intoxicating, and makes me happy. It’s like a perfume taken from a fairy tale; I imagine Little Bell smelling like this. I consider it should be used with moderation in enclosed spaces because it has a very good trail. It smells of good quality and nothing resembles it.

  • LulaFlower

It’s the closest thing to being hit with a handful of slaps by a bunch of violets; that’s how Insolence has made me feel, plus I feel stuffed, as if I’d eaten two kilos of violet sweets. I wouldn’t wear it even if I were mad, but I recognise it has impressive trail and longevity (to my misfortune and the joy of those who enjoy this fragrance).

  • LulaFlower

It’s as if someone scratched a mountain of hostias with a bunch of violets; I feel stuffed, as if I’d eaten two kilos of violet candies. I wouldn’t wear it even if I were crazy, but it has impressive trail and longevity (my misfortune and its joy).

  • SusanaSpell

Faint violets and iris blending into a powdery sweetness, unlike anything I knew. The vintage bottle has history, but with Guerlain, I expected better longevity; on my skin it lasts about three hours, though it leaves a trail. It’s intriguing; I’d try it again, better suited for autumn-winter than in the heat.

  • A baroque and rococo explosion of violets, the scent of coquetry, lipstick, and curling powder in a classic dressing room. The trail is brutal and never loses its strength. It’s the ritual of dressing up and admiring oneself. Guerlain uses meteorite molecules here; the violets are their classic, timeless signature.

  • CYNTHIA1980

A bomb of powdery sweetness that smells great but requires caution: it’s not soft nor short-lived, it’s potent and can be overwhelming. It smells like violet candies, very pink and romantic, ultra-feminine.

  • Innocent and sweet delicacy where violet and iris lead, with a juicy touch of red berries and soft orange. It has a slight soapy and powdery scent from the violet and bergamot, giving a clean feel. I loved it, ideal for casual wear. The bottle with bees for Empress Eugenia looks precious.
