A sensual and extremely elegant fragrance that doesn’t go unnoticed. On the skin, the realistic leather note stands out so much, as if you were smelling a fine red leather wallet. As it evolves, it sweetens with the vanilla and that vanilla caviar flower which lingers until the very end. The only thing I regret is that the leather note doesn’t always stay, because if it did, it would be perfect. I love it because it invites you to show off elegance and sophistication in life’s special moments, making you stand out.
Rich and sensual, perfect for a special night out; I absolutely loved that vanilla note which I’m such a fan of.
Formal and elegant, with a feminine touch where vanilla takes centre stage.
After three trials in different settings, I decided to buy it. It’s wonderful, nothing like the previous CHs. It has excellent longevity on skin and clothes: I applied it at 10 AM and at midnight there was still a trail, incredible. I think there’s confusion regarding the notes; the designer mentions pink pepper, amber vanilla, hibiscus, leather, osmanthus and fruity essences. Another perfumery said it has ‘vanilla caviar’, which is more coherent with my perception. That’s why classifying it as salty is wrong; osmanthus and vanilla predominate. I found it delicious, although I don’t see it for evening; it’s perfect for daytime.
I like it more every day. For winter, it seems to get lost because on my skin it’s very soft. It’s cosy; I wear it when I’m relaxing, and it’s very pleasant.
I’m not an expert in women’s perfumes, but I like this as soon as I smell it, like Coco Chanel. I loved it and it’s the Three Kings gift for my sister; I hope she likes it. I liked it quite a bit; to repeat, I’m not a specialist, but it convinced me.
I love it. Yes, the leather is very noticeable at first, but then it disappears and I simply adore it.
A friend gifted me the miniature from a set her mum brought back from a trip. I tried it for the second time after first meeting it eight months ago (July 2019); the first attempt didn’t work for me as it reminded me of Lady Million, which I hate. However, I’m giving it another chance. At first glance, it’s juicy and fresh. Minutes later, I detect the leather of CH Sublime: new, soft, supple, smooth and creamy. Then comes a hard-to-define accord, certainly caviar (a salty taste, bitter like a fried egg yolk, with a sweet finish), which reminds me of Womanity. After that accord fades, patchouli reinforces the leather, making it serious and robust. Before the patchouli takes over, I think of Kelly Caleche EDP, though Priveé is more accented, less green and floral. It’s slightly warmer due to the patchouli. At one hour, I smell more vanilla over the patchouli, stripping away the darkness. By two hours, the patchouli has almost vanished, and vanilla takes the base: fruity, sweet, earthy with a citrus touch, clearly related to classic CH. It’s interesting and solid—a warm vanilla leather that I’d love to own. At five to six hours, the vanilla reminds me of that in Magnolia Sensuel Dried.
When I bought it, I thought I’d regret it, but after trying it a few days later, I fell in love. It’s a sexy leather bomb of caviar and vanilla, different from other Carolina perfumes. I know it’s not for everyone, but I now adore it.
CH Privée is a very elegant and sensual perfume that makes me feel empowered; it smells like a wealthy woman. Its leather note awakens the sensual instinct and, together with the vanilla, makes it very warm; it’s a magnetic scent that doesn’t go unnoticed, perfect for conquering. I only had the miniature that came with other CH perfumes and at first I didn’t like it, but giving it a chance in winter, I absolutely loved it, so I already bought the 30ml because it’s a bomb with good longevity; a little goes a long way and lasts all day. It lasts between 10 and 12 hours on my skin. For me, it’s an essential in the collection.
This perfume requires several trials before you fall in love with it completely. The leather and patchouli are noticeable quickly; the second note seems strong but is enchanting. Then the osmanthus appears with an apricot effect and the soft vanilla that envelops it. It’s unique, different from the usual, yet beautiful and feminine. Longevity: around 6 hours, moderate sillage.
Unfortunately, I didn’t like it, but it’s not bad. In fact, it has very good quality. My grandmother gifted it to me two years ago and, as you know, scents like this don’t usually suit a teenager. I used it well because I didn’t have any other perfumes. As for the smell, I feel too much the leather and patchouli notes; as the vanilla dries down, it feels somewhat light but not very sweet on my skin. It smells like an office lady. It’s definitely not a blind buy. It lasts a long time and projects much more. On my skin, it lasts over 10 hours and is very strong. It’s not my type; I feel it would be for a lady or a woman over 25. I haven’t gifted it because I have half of it left and because I heard it’s discontinued; it’s good to have. Perhaps I’ll use it at some event.
Ch Priveé is elegant, sensual, and makes me feel empowered; it smells like a classy woman. The leather awakens the sensual instinct and the vanilla makes it warm; it’s magnetic and perfect for conquering. I started with the miniature which I didn’t like at first, but I loved it in winter and have already bought the 30 ml bottle. It’s a bomb with great longevity, lasting all day with little effort. On my skin, it lasts 10-12 hours; it’s an absolute must-have.
A sensual and super-elegant fragrance; you won’t go unnoticed. At first, it smells of realistic leather, like a fine red wallet, then it sweetens with the vanilla and caviar until the end. I only regret that the leather fades away, because if it stayed, it would be perfect. I love it for showing off elegance and sophistication on special occasions; it makes you stand out.
I hesitated to buy it blind because in Argentina it goes on sale frequently and the notes caught my attention. Salty scents don’t always work for me, but here everything is beautifully developed. It radiates elegance, ideal for a gala or for an empowered, confident professional woman. The leather note is executed brilliantly and gives it so much character. If you can, try it on your skin because it changes compared to on clothes (for me, it smells better). It’s sparkling, slightly spicy, radiates confidence… excellent performance, trail and pure elegance.
I absolutely love this EDP. On my skin, the osmanthus and vanilla caviar dominate the leather, with a very soft vanilla note. It’s elegant without being over-the-top, ideal for wearing to work. Very versatile, with moderate longevity and sillage, yet it projects well. I wear it in autumn, winter, and spring.
A friend gifted me a miniature that her mum brought back on a trip. I’m trying it for the second time, after getting to know it about eight months ago (in July 2019)… The first time I didn’t like it; it reminded me of Lady Million, which I hate. But I gave it another chance. On the first sniff, I liked it; it’s juicy and fresh. Within minutes, that leather I knew from CH Sublime appears: new, soft, flexible, smooth and creamy. As I continue to smell it, an accord arises that tickles the nose without defining itself well; that must be the caviar, with a difficult-to-explain taste (salty like sea water, bitterness like a fried egg yolk, a strange sweet finish – all in one inspiration). At that moment, it reminds me of Womanity. Then that accord drops and the patchouli reinforces the leather, making it more serious and sturdy. Before the patchouli takes over, there’s something that reminds me of Kelly Caleche EDP, although Privée is more armoured, less green and with less floral (Kelly has fresh, oily rose). It turns out to be a little warmer than Kelly, thanks to the patchouli. An hour later, I notice more vanilla over the patchouli, with a warming effect that takes away some of the patchouli’s darkness. After two hours, the patchouli is almost gone, with vanilla dominating the base. It’s a fruity vanilla, with moderate richness and a rich effect, an earthy touch and a citrus sparkle; clear kinship with the classic CH. It’s an interesting and solid perfume. A vanilla leather, warm and substantial, which I would love to own. Now that several hours have passed (say, 5-6), its vanilla reminds me of that in Magnolia Sensuel Dried, a beauty.
I hesitated to buy it blind because it’s on offer all the time in Argentina and the notes caught my attention. Salty scents don’t always work for me, but here everything is well-developed. This perfume radiates elegance. Ideal for a gala or for an empowered, confident professional woman. The leather note is executed very well and gives it lots of character. Try it on your skin because it changes from how it smells on clothes (for me, it smells better on skin). Sparkling, slightly spicy, radiates security… Great performance and sillage, pure elegance.
A very warm fragrance with a fruity opening that smokes down to leave a fine leather bag scent. It’s for an elegant woman, super versatile for any occasion and weather, for all ages, and has a youthful spark. My eighty-year-old mother owns it and it suits her perfectly. Definitely Carolina Herrera knows how to make the classics with youthful scents.
I tried it today and bought it blind thanks to all the recommendations and good reviews. I get testers at a good price and didn’t want to miss the opportunity… I’m delighted. It conveys warmth and elegance at the same time. I can’t quite distinguish the notes well, but I do sense that exquisite leather opening followed by vanilla. It felt exquisite and passionate to me.
Beautiful aroma. Although they say it doesn’t contain lavender, I can smell it very clearly in the blend. What a fabulous perfume!
I always need some CH in my collection, and after finishing the 212 Vip, seeing the notes for Privé, I didn’t hesitate a second to grab a bottle of this gem. It smells different from everything else I own, which is a plus. I love the leather note, and it’s executed very well here. In the end, it leaves a warm, talc-like sensation; super pleasant and elegant. I recommend it highly, but beware: don’t buy it blind because it has a lot of personality. I use it for semi-formal work dates, dinners at nice places, goodbyes, or baby showers, and it performs perfectly in fresh weather.
I love it ♥️. I don’t feel it resembles the CH 212. It’s very similar to the Fendi Fan (I’ve only tried the classic, not the others). I really liked the Fendi one; it’s super elegant and, as I mentioned in its review, it smells like opening a makeup bag in a good way: that lovely scent of pretty cosmetics filling the air pleasantly. Definitely good quality, but speaking of CH Privé, it’s very pleasant. Perhaps for over 30s (I know age doesn’t matter, but perfumes tend to make me think of certain ages).
They gifted it to me and it smells absolutely beastly, very potent. I imagine it would look luxurious on a chic older lady, haha. I’m 22, but I’ve worn it to parties or special events and I love it. The opening is strong, but over time you notice that vanilla, wood, and spicy kick, like pepper, with a smoky base. What I like most is the sweetness; that’s what saves it. It’s a super elegant and sensual scent.
Does anyone know of a dupe from an Arabic house? I want to gift it to my mother.
What a pity it’s no longer available, but it remains one of the most mysterious scents in my collection. Upon spraying, it explodes with pink pepper and exotic osmanthus; then the leather heart adds a sensual, deep touch. The bottle is so elegant it looks like a designer handbag. Ideal for romantic dinners or when you want to feel empowered and sophisticated. Perfect for cold nights where its warmth really shines. It smells like a wealthy woman and the longevity is beastly.
Well, it didn’t really grab me, though it’s not a failure. The quality is there; my grandmother gifted it to me two years ago, and as you’d expect, this style isn’t quite right for a teenager. I used it simply because I had nothing else. The leather and patchouli hit hard at first, but once it dries, the vanilla sits lightly on my skin—nothing cloying. It sounds a bit like an office lady. Definitely not a blind buy. It lasts a long time and projects strongly: over ten hours on my skin and quite intense. It’s not my type; I’d say it’s for women over 25. I didn’t give it away because I have half left and I heard it might be discontinued, so I’ll just keep it. Maybe I’ll use it for an event one day.
