Zara introduces Cherry Stain 02 Bold Dark Exotic, a fragrance that bursts onto the scene in 2026 with a bold and enveloping personality. It belongs to the Oriental Spicy olfactory family, crafted for the man who aims to leave a mark.
This new creation blends the sweetness of cherry liqueur with the depth of resins and incense, striking a perfect balance between modernity and classicism. Its sillage is warm, spicy, and subtly smoky—ideal for evenings that demand character.
The heart of Cherry Stain 02 Bold Dark Exotic unfolds with a dominant note of cherry liqueur, adding a gourmand yet sophisticated touch. Around it, amber and benzoin build a balsamic, resinous base, while spices contribute a vibrant, masculine facet.
The accords of this fragrance have been carefully balanced: amber provides warmth, warm spice invites closeness, and the balsamic note wraps like an embrace. The vanillic touch softens the composition, while the smoky nuance lends an air of mystery and seduction.
In the final sillage, incense emerges powerfully, leaving a lasting impression that evokes ancient rituals and modernity alike. It's a scent that doesn't go unnoticed and adapts perfectly to special occasions or for those seeking an unforgettable personal signature.
Zara's bottle design maintains a minimalist yet striking aesthetic, reflecting the darkness and intensity of the name. Each spray is a statement of intent.

I’m going to be nasty about this fragrance, and seeing the reviews from people on the English-language version, I think it deserves it. This smells awful. It smells cheap. Like cheap cologne from a Chinese shop. Like a chemical product. Like sweets from a newsagent’s. The notes may be the ones listed, but they’re completely disconnected: each doing its own thing. You get a cherry note, seriously, overpowering. A dreadful smell of alcohol. A shoddy amber base… and so on. It’s a punch in the face. If I had to compare it to something, it would be those 50-60-year-old blokes at the pub wearing Agua Brava or similar, but you run into them at the village festival marquee with a shot of cherry liqueur, and you get the smell of the aftershave mixed with their cherry-liqueur breath, along with some booze and sweat. In short, maybe someone out there likes it, maybe I’m the odd one and it’s one of those ZARA “hits” everyone ends up loving… but honestly, you’d have to have bollocks to wear this and go out on the street.
